Sara's Dance!

After watching Anna do ballet for the last six months, Sara finally got her turn. She was so excited! I had already committed to attend a baby shower for one of my friends, so I sent Rob with the camera with instructions to take a lot of pictures. He complied!

She had a great time and listened, somewhat. So glad she found something just for her!

Snowflake Treats

Anna came home from school one day with a recipe to make snowflake treats. Our friends brought over the ingredients and let the girls go at it. They had a lot of fun and many marshmallows were consumed!

Sara's Style

Sara has an interesting sense of style. It's evidenced in this photo. Minnie jammies, leg warmers and flip flops. Not only is she a flashy dresser, she doesn't know what season to dress for! Love that kid!

Another package

The girls got yet another package. There were cards, candy and stuff we left in Utah. The girls love anything that comes with their names on it! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Hadfield!

Breakfast and Bowling

So, we scrapped our plans to go skiing after seeing how the girls reacted to sledding. We decided to do breakfast and bowling instead. Our friends recommended this fabulous place for breakfast. The food was wonderful and the prices were great! Merf, we're taking you there next time for stuffed french toast. It looked wonderful! The girls had chocolate waffles with a scoop of chocolate ice cream, marshmallow fluff and chocolate syrup. Kid heaven!!
After breakfast we went bowling. Here are Mary and Anna modeling their stylish bowling shoes.
Anna pushing her ball. It took a very long time for the kids to bowl. Anna ended up winning. Way to go Anna!
Sara modeling her shoes.
She insisted on me helping her. I love this picture.
It was a very fun Saturday! Gotta love that family bonding time!

Sunrise

Rob had to leave early one morning and called me to go and look out the window at the sunrise. It was awesome!

Snow Day!

On one of the many snow days (I think there have been about 13 so far this year!) we went with some friends to a local park to do some sledding.
Anna got to try out her new sled from her "Uncle Easel" (Uncle Cecil). It is super fast and super fun!
Sara wouldn't get on the sled. I guess it is not as fun without a lawnmower pulling you!
Anna and Mary hopped on and made me pull them around. I felt a little like a pack mule!
Both girls were done after about fifteen minutes. We're really glad that we decided not to take them skiing the following day!
Ah, peace and quiet!!!

Sara got a package!

A package showed up for Sara. She was so excited because it was hers!

It was a birthday present from Grandpa and Grandma Cloward. So we called them on Skype and started opening the present.
She was so excited to find a Repunzel dress and a Repunzel doll. She loves the movie and has been quoting it since we saw it.
Thanks Grandpa and Grandma! She loves them!

Box Fun

This is how I found the girls one morning. They don't come in and wake me up in the morning, which I'm very grateful for. So they got their poptarts and watched cartoons while hanging out in a box. Such silly girls!

Sara's 3rd Birthday, Part 2

After dinner we headed over to Chuck E Cheese. I have to say that I enjoyed it a lot more since we didn't eat there. The kids had a great time. We had over 150 tokens so they went to town!
Daniel and Sara. They are either best buddies or worst enemies! You can constantly hear Sara saying, "No Daniel! No!".

Daddy had a great time as well.

After spending most of our tokens we headed over to open presents and have cake. I don't think that this cake is up to par. In fact, I'm a little embarrassed to post pictures, but I need to remember it.
Anna hamming it up for the camera.
A view of the cake.
Enjoying the food.
Just goofing off.
Anna gave her a Snow White polly pocket.
She also got a unicorn pillow pet. She was so excited. After watching Despicable Me she has been requesting a unicorn. This is the best I could do.
When we got home we called Grandpa and Grandma H on the computer so she could unwrap her present for them. It was a fairy jewelry box. She was so excited.

Balloons and flowers from mom and dad.
Happy Birthday my sweet Sara. I hope you had a wonderful day. Love you!

Sara's 3rd Birthday, Part 1

I can't believe that my sweet Sara is three! We celebrated in style. She wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese, but the adults didn't want to eat there. So we met our friends at Buca di Beppo. It was great! The kids had a blast!
Our big group.
The birthday girl!
Anna and her best friend Emma.
Buca is a family style restaurant so all of our food came in huge dishes, as modeled by Rob.
I think the kids ate until they were sick. Okay, maybe the adults did as well.
They brought out a candelabra with three candles for Sara to blow out. It was awesome. She was so excited and kept singing Happy Birthday to herself. It was great!
She got them!
Sara shared her cake and ice cream. The girls licked their plates clean!
It was a great start to a fun night!

Quick Trip

We made a spur of the moment decision to head to Ikea and get some much needed bookshelves. The nearest Ikea is in Cincinnati which is about an hour and a half away. It was a fun adventure. I had to laugh when we passed this water tower. It is on the border of Kentucky and Cincinnati and I guess Cincinnati makes fun of Kentucky for being hicks. So, Florence decided to play it up. I love it, y'all! Oh, and no, I have not started saying it yet!

Christmas in Kentucky

When we arrived in Kentucky after our long trip to Utah (three weeks was a little too long!) we discovered that Santa had made a visit to our house as well. The girls were exhausted but insisted on opening the presents. Thank goodness there were not a lot of them.

Thanks Santa!
