Trunk or Treat

We had a great time at our ward's trunk or treat. Our chili didn't win anything again this year, but we are psyched to try for next year.
Anna was super excited to get more candy. She really is as sweet as she looks in this picture.
Sara for some reason is constantly sucking on material. She's nuts!
After all the candy was handed out we had some pretty tired kids. Anna wanted to look scary in this picture. Did it work?

Sara was insistent on drinking the really hot chocolate. I think she ended up burning her mouth. That's what she gets for being so stubborn! But she was a really cute Minnie!

We had a great Halloween. It was also nice to be able to sit back and not worry about doing anything on Sunday. Anna was fine with not being able to trick or treat and just sitting home passing out candy. But I am really glad that it's over! It's been a long month!

Boo Dell

We found out about this great place in town that let kids come trick or treating . Since the girls were not going around the neighborhood this year (they celebrated it on Sunday. Yet another reason I miss Utah!) we decided to let them do it. It was a lot of fun and such a pretty place! But the best part of the whole day is that we got to spend it with our daddy!
Can you feel the love?!
The girls were able to meet some "celebrities".
And hang out with friends.
We also got to watch a magic show. Sara's dress was a little too long so we changed her to Minnie at the last minute. We can't find her Minnie ears, so she wore Anna's.
Rob got to be part of the ventriloquist act. He was one of the dummies. It was great. He kept saying "I love ballet!". We have it recorded and will be sure to show it to those who ask.

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin Carving. We left it to the last minute, but at least we did it! I wish I could say that we had a great time going to a pumpkin patch and picking out the perfect pumpkin. But I can't. We went to Walmart and got the best looking two that we could. We invited our friends over for homemade pizza and started carving! The kids really got into it. We were totally outnumbered...six to three. But all five pumpkins were carved and all kids were happy.

The finished product.
Anna wanted a spooky pumpkin. I think she got one.
Sara's was nice. Gotta love the Nike swoosh as a smile!

School Halloween Party

Anna was able to dress up for her school Halloween Party. Since Anna did, Sara had to as well. My little Rapunzels!

Some Thoughts

A year ago we had a miscarriage. In so many ways I am still recovering or reeling from that loss. It is difficult for me to comprehend that I am still grieving. Maybe it is because for some reason I was put on a mailing list when I was pregnant so I am getting almost daily reminders in the mail what stage the baby would be at right now. Or maybe it is this time of year. It comes so close to the triplets birth/death day. Plus I still don't feel that our family is complete. I know that we have more little ones to love. And everywhere I turn lately there is another announcement of a pregnancy. Please don't get me wrong. I am so happy for those of you who are pregnant. But I can't help but ask, why not me? It's not like it is an unrighteous desire. I just want what everyone else has (or seems to have).
I thought we had our answer in moving here to Kentucky to further our family. Rob's new job covers invitro...Great! There was a Dr out here who went to school with my doctor in Utah. Even better! It made coming to Kentucky bearable. So, here we are a year later. We met with the doctor that was recommended to us and I felt so uncomfortable. It was not a good fit.We tried a different doctor and we have fallen through the cracks. Not sure I am ready for a third! So, now I am left questioning why we really came to Kentucky. I have often wondered if we are to go a different route to bring children into our family. I have even prayed about it. All I get is confusion. It's so frustrating! I just want to know what path to take. Is that too much to ask?

The party keeps on going!

For Anna's birthday, we let her decide where she wanted to go for dinner. She chose the Cracker Barrel. I'm not quite sure why, since she never really eats anything there. I really think it is because of the store in front.
After dinner we took her to get her birthday present. A fish. She chose a blue Beta that she named Sparkle. I don't know why she is obsessed with that name lately! She loves it and asks about four or five times a day if she can feed it yet. I'm just glad she's happy with a fish. She wanted a puppy!

Yet, another package!

Third day of packages. Man, this girl is spoiled! But Sara's name was on this one as well. Both girls gathered around to see what was inside....

Treats from Grandpa and Grandma Cloward!
Anna's birthday card was in their as well. She keeps telling Rob that she now has more money than we do. She's probably right!
I told Anna to be spooky. This is what I got?!
Crazy eyes!
Sara insisted on wearing the teeth, even though they don't really fit that well.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the great package!

Anna's Birthday

On Anna's actual birthday, we really didn't do much. I made sure to run down to the grocery store to get her some balloons. I had to try and get there before Rob left for work. The balloon department wasn't open yet, but the manager found someone to help me. It was an 80 year old woman that could not tie the balloons! It took her 20 minutes to do three balloons. Poor lady! But I was able to make it back in time before Anna woke up. She was excited to get flowers. Such a girl!
She also got a card from Great Grandma Marcia.
Can you tell by the face that she was excited about the money!

Halloween Party

We got invited to an awesome Halloween Party. We dressed as mad scientists, which wasn't a far stretch for Rob ;). We didn't even have a chance of winning, though, when Wille Wonka and an Umpa Lumpa showed up. They were awesome!
We were sent on a crazy scavenger hunt. I don't think that I have ever been that car sick before, but it was a great way to find out a little bit more about our small little town. I ended up being the picture taker, so I am not in any of the pictures...darn! We had to salute in front of the recruiting center.
Find a school bus.
A scarecrow
A speed bump. Surprisingly, there are not a lot around the area.
The lawn jockey. This was hard to get since the people were sitting in their living room while we were trying to take the picture. In hindsight we should have just rang the doorbell and asked instead of running all over their yard.
When we walked in to Long John Silver to get a bib we were roadblocked. We had to put together not one, but two 3D puzzles. Yikes!

Trying to get out of the cemetery!
A creepy casket. Notice how Rob is doing something crazy in every picture. Now I know where Sara gets her crazy from!
The one picture I am kindof in. We had to capture ourselves on the security cam.

It was such a fun night with crazy costumes and awesome company. We're already planning our costumes for next year. Ideas would be appreciated!

Package number 2

Anna has been spoiled by the many packages that have been arriving. She got a package from Grandpa and Grandma Hadfield and Aunt Kassi.
Aunt Kassi just got back from New York and sent the girls fun shirts!
She feels the love!

What does crazy look like?

You be the judge!

Fairy Party

After much anticipation, the day for the Fairy Party arrived! I told the girls that they had to stay upstairs while I got the table ready. When I looked up, this is what I saw. Almost as good as Christmas!
Here's what the table looked like all decorated. It was very girlie!
I had an idea to make the girls wands by hot gluing the curling ribbon around the dowels. Rob came up with a better idea. he drilled a small hole and pushed the ribbon through, making it very difficult to pull apart. He also thought to sand the wood so the girls wouldn't get slivers. What a brilliant man I married!
I spent the week before making these rings from buttons. I think they turned out pretty cute.

I also ordered fairy wings for each girl.
The cupcakes. I wish that they had turned out better, but the frosting was way too soft. The white with pink is supposed to be an "A" for Anna.
While the girls were waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive, Rob got the girls riled up by doing a conga line.
After the girls arrived they played a game called "Fairy, Fairy, Frog" (duck, duck, goose).
They then came and played a version of musical chairs where they earned their wings.
The group after they earned their wings. Afterward, we sent them on a treasure hunt to look for "lost things" or buttons that we strung together and made bracelets.
Opening presents. She got a lot of fun things.
Blowing out the candle.
Sara was so excited to play with the big girls and wear her Tinkerbelle costume.
Daddy even got to join in on the party. When we were preparing her invitations, Anna wanted me to put on there that no boys were allowed, except her Daddy.

All the cute fairies. Such fun girls! So glad they were able to come and celebrate Anna's birthday with us!
