House in Kentucky

This is the house we have a contract on in Kentucky. I love it! I just wish it was in Utah. It sits on an acre lot and has a ton of kids running through the neighborhood. We were even able to negotiate the "$6,000" swingset from them (huge joke!). Oh, and the other great thing about it is that our next door neighbors are LDS and have four kids, two of which are little girls about the same ages as Anna and Sara. It couldn't be anymore perfect for us.

Balloon Glow

Rob has picked up yet another hobby...Hot Air Ballooning. He has made friends with some of the ballooning people. He even got to fly in the hot air balloon a couple of weeks ago....Glad I wasn't around for that one! Anyway, I am in Kentucky to buy a house (which we did!) and while I was here it has been Derby week. They do this thing called the balloon glow. It starts at 9:00 at night. All the balloons light up at the same time. It's pretty neat. Here are some of the pictures that I was able to capture. Oh, and Rob and I were able to help crew. It is pretty fun!

Huskerdoo!

When I was little my favorite game was a game called Huskerdoo! The other day while I was in the mall I popped into Games People Play and they had this incredibly fun game. Anna has fallen in love with it and even invited Grandpa and Grandma over to play with her. I love that she loves an educational game!

The Park!!!!

Our friends invited us to have a picnic in the park with them. We had such a nice time with them. The girls are addicted to the swings! Who knew that such a small thing would bring such a great big smile!

Of course the slides were also a big hit. Sara even figured out how to climb up the big climbing wall.

Thanks Bedkes! We had a ton of fun! We'll miss you guys!

I Love Technology!

I recently purchased the Disney movie "Fantasia" and the girls wanted to watch it today. Rob called while we were watching it and mentioned that he had never seen it. What?! How is that possible? After all, he was a music major for a year, for Pete's sake! Anyway, we decided that daddy needed to see it. So we turned the computer around and propped it up on a box in front of the TV and had movie night with daddy.
It worked so well that Anna decided that she wanted to watch her favorite show "America's Funniest Home Videos" as well with him. She even got a pillow so she could sit right by him. They had a great time. Isn't technology great! Rob is hundreds of miles away from us, but we can still enjoy watching TV together!

Easter Dresses

Since we had General Conference on Easter Sunday the girls got to wear their Easter dresses today. This was the best picture I was able to get of both of them. Sara didn't feel very well and I couldn't get her to smile for the camera. But don't they look cute!

Visiting Jayde

We got a phone call today letting us know that Jayde was being admitted to the hospital. When I told Anna she immediately wanted to go and let her know that she loved her. Unfortunately, I have been sick for the last couple of days so I wasn't able to take her. But Grandpa and Grandma came to the rescue and took Anna over. Here she is looking at Jayde's owie that has water going into her.

Anna didn't want to come home. She was having fun and wanted to have a sleep over with Jayde and Uncle Casey. I didn't realize that the hospital was such a fun place.

We love you Jayde! Hope you feel better soon!

The Zoo

Since the sun was finally shining an adventure was needed. We were invited to go to the zoo and so we headed out. It was still a little cold, too cold for spring break, but it was a lot of fun. The girls had a blast playing with the water ball. All the little kids wanted to see how they measured up. Not quite as big as a gorilla.

Anna had to see if she had hands as big as a gorilla. Not quite!
And since Anna checked Sara had to as well. They aren't the same size but sometimes they act the same!

Checking out the map.

Riding the carousel. Can you tell by her face that Anna loved it!

So did Sara!

All the kids (and Grandpa and Merf) by the elephant that "toots" (as Anna calls it!). Speaking of elephants, we actually got to see the elephant paint a picture. It was as if we had stepped into an episode of "Curious George". It was awesome!

My cute niece Missy. She is so great with my girls! They love her and are going to miss her so much!

Fun With Daddy

The girls had so much fun with Daddy while he was in town. He is a lot more fun to play with than mom because he lets them get away with things that I don't! This, for example, would not happen to me because I know not to fall asleep with the girls around. Anna decided to decorate him with some of her candy! So proud of her artwork!

Daddy also gives better horsey rides than mommy. At first Sara didn't understand that you ride on top. She tried to crawl underneath him.

She finally figured out that it is a lot more fun to ride up top. Gotta love that quality family time!

Easter Sunday

Easter morning was quite relaxing. I love that if fell on Conference Weekend this year. Anna woke up pretty early, anxious to see if the Easter Bunny hid eggs for her. We sent her back to bed for another hour until Sara woke up. I can't even imagine what Christmas is going to be like this year :). So we got up and started the hunt. I had to post this first picture to show what it looked like outside. It was a cold and snowy morning. So much for Spring!
Hunting for Easter Eggs. I love that Anna actually helped Sara find eggs. They are either the best of friends or the worst of enemies!
Sara showing off her goods!

This was the only picture I could get of both of the girls together. Hopefully I can get a better one of them next Sunday in their new dresses.

Hadfield Easter Egg Hunt

Later that afternoon we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Hadfield's for another egg hunt. Neither one of the girls needed help this time. Anna was excited to find a stuffed Snoopy.
Anna must have her eye on something!
Anna and Sara with cousin Jayde after the egg hunt. I think my girls had a lot of fun, but they were done!

Cloward Easter Egg Hunt

We had an Easter Egg Hunt at Grandpa and Grandma Clowards early this afternoon. At first Sara didn't want to have anything to do with it. Then she discovered that there were candy in the eggs and she went crazy! She would grab the egg, empty the contents in her bag and then toss the egg. She got pretty good at finding them!Anna didn't need any coaching. She is a hunting pro!

Once all of the eggs were found, Sara dove into her candy. She even ate the chocolate without removing the foil. Good thing she doesn't have any fillings yet! It made me cringe just watching her!

Anna grabbed my camera and took this priceless photo of Rob. Say cheese!!!!

Coloring Easter Eggs

I'm not really that fond of coloring easter eggs. It's messy and no one in this house eats hard boiled eggs. But, it's a tradition. You have to do it! And yes, my girls have awesome hair first thing in the morning. They get it from their dad!

MAC Reunion 2010

One of my mission presidents came into town for Conference weekend so a reunion was put together. It was so much fun to see everyone again. Here we are with President Etchegaray. He hasn't changed a bit! Here I am with Hermana Rogers. Funny story on how we met. When I was in the MTC, I couldn't find anyone else going to the Cordoba mission. One day, after about five weeks in the MTC, I was up running with my companion. This tall blond girl came up stairs and said that she needed another sister to come and play basketball. I didn't want to run anymore, so I volunteered. When we were walking back down I asked her where she was going and she told me Cordoba. I was elated! Finally, someone going to my mission! We ended up being in a lot of zones together, did a lot of splits together and we were even in a companionship for three days together. I will never forget one particular split. We were both pretty new in the mission and didn't speak the language very well. Nobody wanted to listen to us that day and by night we were pretty frustrated. So, we stopped at the corner "store" and got a coke and a alfajor, sat on a wall in the middle of a field and talked about how great it was going to be when it was our turn to go home. We had many other experiences together but there simply isn't enough room to write them all. It was great to reconnect with her again and relive those memories!

This picture makes me laugh. We took the same picture while we were on the mission. Elder Butterfield is a fellow Lehian and we wanted to get a picture together. This is what we came up with since he didn't want to get too close to an Hermana. I really wish I could find the original picture!

The missionaries of the MAC, or those that showed up. It was great to see everyone and we really missed those that were not able to attend. Hopefully this will be a new tradition!

Dinosaur Museum

Rob came into town and we decided to take the girls to the Dinosaur Museum out at Thanksgiving Point. The girls and I had been before, but this was a first time for Rob. He really got into it. First we started out in the "hands on" room. As you can tell Rob loved the room. Notice how the girls are no longer playing with him, but he is still going strong! Look how proud he is of his design!
They had a wind tunnel machine that mesmerized the girls. It was pretty neat to watch the paper float up, but I wouldn't want to clean that ceiling at the end of the day!

Daddy and his girls!
Sara loved the cave! She went through the tunnel about twenty times before we pulled her out, kicking and screaming of course!

Playing in the water and the sand. Can life get any more fun?!
Laying down, admiring the view of the large dinosaur!

Sara loved the dinosaur puzzle.

And the computer.

A visit to the museum is not complete without a picture in front of the large shark. Anna refused to be in it because it was too scary!

A couple of paleontologists in the making!
