Swimming Anyone?

I told Sara to go and get her jammies on tonight. This is what she came out wearing. Funny kid!

Pretty In Pink

I always said that when I had kids I would never dress them the same. I have to eat my words. I found these skirts and they were so cute and such a great deal that I had to have them. How cute are they!

Field Trip

Anna had an awesome field trip today. They went to Maggie Moo's to see how ice cream was made. Not only did we get to see how they make cake batter ice cream (did you know that they use a cake mix? I had no idea!) but we were able to try a plethora of different flavors of ice cream! The girls all chose the pink bubble gum and the boys chose the blue cotton candy.
Here she is with her class and the ice cream guy. Notice the pink and blue smiles!

Anna was chosen to help hold the bucket to pour the ice cream into after it was done. It did taste a little different soft, but it was still good!

Sara's Build a Bear

We took Sara to Build a Bear for her birthday this year. Of course, she picked out a puppy. Here she is putting in the stuffing.

Putting in the heart.

Anna was excited to go as well so she could give Chloe the bear a shower as well.

Fluffing her puppy. I wish I had a picture of the finished product, but she wouldn't hold still long enough to take one. She ended up naming it "Puppy". Such a silly little girl!

Sara's 2nd Birthday!

The day after we came home from Disneyland was Sara's 2nd birthday. Sara was so excited to walk through the doors and find Tinkerbelle balloons just for her from Grandpa and Grandma Hadfield. Sara loves balloons and went tearing through the house with them. My mom also saved me by baking a cake for her (thanks mom!). We decided on Pluto since we just got back from Disneyland and she loves puppies. I was able to decorate it and I think I got pretty close to the right color for Pluto.

Blowing out the candles and making a wish!

Her "cheese" face.

I can't believe that my little Sara is 2. She brings me such joy. She has developed such a little personality on her. She is definitely her father's daughter in every way, shape and form. Some of her favorite things right now are;
Television show: America's Funniest Home Videos, Word World and Micky Mouse Clubhouse
Favorite Food: Cheese, chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, pizza and cookies.
Favorite Toys: Anything that has to do with puppies and her slide.
Favorite possessions: Her blanket and binkie. Also, at least one stuffed puppy.
Some of the quirky things she does;
When she wants something she will walk around the house calling for it. An example is if she is looking for her blanket she will say, "Blankie! Where are you?". She calls all types of food cookies. She loves chocolate (my kind of girl!). She loves her daddy and wants to snuggle him all the time. She wants to be just like Anna and tries to do everything that she does.
I love my little Sara so much. She brings so much happiness into my life. Happy Birthday my sweet girl. I love you!

Disneyland Day 4

I actually didn't take a lot of pictures on this last day since we had pretty much done everything at least once. The first thing we did that day was head over to California Adventure and headed towards the Toy Story ride. Such a fun ride. I could do that one over and over again. Here are the girls in their glasses waiting for our turn.We then headed over to the artist gallery. This is Rob's favorite thing. One of the Disney artist teaches you to draw one of the main characters. This time it was Tigger. Anna had a great time and her Tigger looked pretty good!

Once again we are on the merry go round. Friday was actually pretty busy and there was even a line for this one. Is there ever a line for the merry go round?

Grandpa and Grandma bought Anna this princess crown. She loves it and wants to wear it daily!

They got Sara a stuffed Pluto that she keeps with her at all times.

We had so much fun at Disneyland and had very little breakdowns, even on the long journey home. Great memories were made this vacation!

Disneyland Day 3

Once again we loaded up our princesses and headed out for another fun filled day of Disneyland. We had to do the obligatory pictures at the entrance.

Then we headed straight for the merry go round. This has to be my favorite picture of Sara. Her face just exudes happiness!

Because the girls were back in princess clothes we went back to see the princesses. This time the wait was about a half an hour, which still wasn't too awful. We got lucky and saw all different princesses. The first one was Snow White. I was impressed that we got a picture of Sara hugging a princess because every time they reached out to hug her she gave them a high five. So funny!

Snow White and my princesses.

Meeting Cinderella

And Sleeping Beauty.

As we were walking out, Belle was trading someone places. Because Anna was in her Belle costume she stopped and took a picture with her. So fun! We were able to see all of the princesses, minus Mulon and Tiana, and only had to stand in the princess line twice. I consider ourselves pretty lucky!

We then headed over to Toon Town to meet the characters there. Sara absolutely loved Minni!

So fun!

Meeting Mickey was the only time Sara freaked out and I think it is because he tried to pick her up and put her on the stage with him. It wasn't even a real freak out. She just kept pushing him away. I was so impressed with how well she did!

Anna's favorite ride was Small World. I don't even know how many times we rode it. What a cute family I have!

Disneyland Day 2

We spent day 2 at California Adventures. Our first stop was "A Bugs Life".

I love the glasses that have for you! So funny. Here are Grandma and Sara modeling the lovely glasses. It's a good thing I got the pictures beforehand because Anna was completely traumatized by the show. Rob had to take her out and she wouldn't go on any rides for about a half hour afterwards. Sara, on the other hand, loved it!

Grandma and Sara riding a bugs ride. I love Sara's face in this picture. She is my fearless child! She laughed and giggled at everything she went on.

Finally getting a smile out of Anna and Rob. Quick story about Rob. I had been on Tower of Terror before but Rob had refused to go with me. His excuse was that he doesn't like rides that throw him to the earth. Anyway, I was finally able to convince him to go with me this trip. The whole time we were on the ride he was shaking and screaming. The picture that was taken just summed up the whole ride, he is screaming and holding on tight to me. So funny! He won't go on it with me again!

Grandpa was a good sport and watched the kids so the other adults could go on California Screamin'. He even took the kids on the merry go round a couple of times. What a good sport! And yes, I became one of the moms I always said I wouldn't. I had to harness Sara. It was either that or end up on the news pleading for someone to return my daughter. She has no fear and she is fast!

We were waiting for the parade when we found Pluto. Sara absolutely loves puppies, Pluto included so we had to let her go see him. She was so excited and even gave him a kiss on the cheek, which we unfortunately did not get a picture of.

Waiting for the parade to start.

We met up with our good friends Matt and Kira and their kids. They were such good sports to come out since they have a month old baby! It was great to see you guys!

Anna grooving to the music. She loved dancing with all the characters!

Sara loved it as well. I think she was a little overwhelmed by it, though.

Disneyland Day 1

Ever since Rob was laid off from his job Anna had been including him in her prayers. They went as follows; "Please bless that Daddy will find a job so that we can have money so we can go to Disneyland.". We have no idea where the Disneyland came from. A couple of months later Rob was able to get a job with GE. When he told Anna that he got a job she started jumping up and down saying, "We're going to Disneyland! We're going to Disneyland!". Rob and I talked about and decided that our family had been through enough these last couple of months and the decision was made to go to Disneyland. We invited Rob's parents to go with us and had a great time having Grandpa and Grandma to ourselves. My mom made the girls these princess dresses for Christmas so we had to get a picture of our princesses with the castle.

The Merry Go Round. I don't even know how man times we rode this! Both Anna and Sara loved it! Sara calls horses "yee haws" and the whole time she was riding she kept saying it. I don't know where my picture went with Sara on a horse but she looked pretty darn cute!

Even the big kids liked the merry go round!

Since the girls were in their princess dresses we had to go and see the princesses. We only had to wait in line for about twenty minutes and it was well worth it when Anna saw Ariel. She is her favorite princess and was so excited!

Meeting with Jasmine.

I have to admit that I have never seen Pocahontas and really don't' have any desire to, but this princess was so great! She sat and talked to both girls and actually paid attention to them. She was very sweet!

After the Princesses we took the girls to drive. Sara had a great time. She is a very crazy driver, but giggled the whole time!

Here's Sara at the end of the day. She climbed up onto Grandma's suitcase and was ready to go to sleep. I guess we really wore her out!
