So Big!

My little girl is becoming so big! For about the last week she has refused to sleep in her crib and has opted for the big girl bed. So, Anna and Sara now share a room and it is working out gloriously! Sara has slept through the night since (she is getting up at 6 am though!). So, the next big step is potty training. So far she is doing okay. I haven't gone full force with her, yet, but she doesn't scream when I put her on. That's got to be a step in the right direction, right? I'm a little sad that she is becoming so big. She is not a baby anymore!

Special Delivery

Anna was able to deliver her letter to Santa today. We went to Macy's department store (they donate $1 for every letter they receive) and they had it decorated so cute. She was so excited and so proud to drop it in the mailbox. Now all she needs to do is be a good girl so Santa will bring her what she asked for!

Anna's letter

Here's Anna's letter to Santa. She dictated what she wanted me to say and then drew a picture of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Her letter says;

Dear Santa,

I drew you a picture. I hope you like it. I have been a good girl. I would like an Ariel doll. Sara wants a slide. We will leave you some cookies and milk. We love you!

Santa Claus Parade

My parents called and invited us to go with them to the Santa Claus Parade. It was during the BYU vs UofU game, so there were not a lot of people there at all. The girls had a great time. Sara was more mesmerized by the fire engine than she was with Santa (must be Rob's daughter!) but Anna was enthralled with Santa. I'm a terrible mom and didn't want to stand in line to let her sit on his lap, but she went up to him and shook his hand. Because he invited her to come in with him she tells everyone that he invited her to his office. Pretty cute kid and I'm so glad that she is no longer afraid of him.

Here are the girls and my mom in front of the cities Christmas Tree.Sara with Grandpa staring at the exciting fire truck.
Anna was so excited to see Santa. She came home and wrote him a letter that we are going to try and deliver tomorrow.

Sara's First Haircut

Sara was starting to look like Carol Brady (Anna had a the same issue a couple of years ago.) and so we called Aunt Kassi to come and get rid of the mullet. She was pretty squirmy but she didn't cry, which made me very happy. Kassi ended up cutting about an inch and a half off. I forgot to get the after picture, but she looks pretty cute with her little bob. Thanks Kassi! You're the best!

Happy 6th Birthday Jason, Ellie and Grace!

We have been talking a lot to Anna about her older brother and sisters. We have been explaining that Jason, Ellie and Grace live with Heavenly Father and Jesus. Anna has not seemed to have a problem with this, until today. Today is Jason, Ellie and Grace's 6th birthday. As we went to purchase balloons for them Anna had a complete meltdown. She did not want to send balloons to heaven. She wanted Jason, Ellie and Grace to come and live with her in her house. She said that Jesus didn't need them to live with him, she needed them to live with her. This about broke my heart. Watching her deal with the loss of her older siblings. When we got to the cemetery with the balloons, she refused to let them go. When I finally was able to release them she covered her eyes and cried. I have mixed feelings about her reaction. On one side, it is so sweet to see her wanting to be with her other siblings. On the other hand, it was so hard for me to watch her cry, knowing that I couldn't take away her pain. Sometimes I can't wait for the Second Coming. I am so excited for the reunion that I will get to have with my sweet babies!

Here is Anna with the balloons that she picked out. She chose Yoda for Jason, Tinkerbelle for Ellie and Ariel for Grace. And yes, it was terribly windy and cold. It seems like it is always cold on the 13th of November.A better view of the Ariel and Tinkerbelle balloons.
Sending the balloons to heaven for their birthday party. It was so windy that the balloons didn't go up, they went over to Utah Lake.
I can't believe that 6 years ago my dream of being a mom came true! I'm so grateful for my three beautiful angels who let me be their mom! I love and miss you so much Jason, Ellie and Grace.

Update

First of all, I just want to say thank you for all of your kind words, thoughts and prayers. I really do have the greatest friends and family! I have been doing pretty well. We did make a trip to the ER a couple of nights ago when the miscarriage started to go really bad. I lost a lot of blood and that in turn made me pass out a couple of times. Nothing three bags of saline could fix, though. But it seems that the worst is over, as far as the physical aspect is concerned. Emotionally I am still a mess. I am amazed at the little things that set me off, but I guess that is to be expected. Some days are better than others. Thank goodness I have my girls to just hug and kiss on those really bad days. I am so grateful to have them.
As far as the job hunt is concerned, we are still hunting. There is one company that seems interested in Rob, and, thank goodness, they are here in Utah. They are calling him this week to set up a second interview. Hopefully it pans out and we can have a job before Christmas.
So there is a small update on what is going on. Thanks again for all of your love and support! We love you!
