It's not a Tuba (Bad Band Joke!)

When Rob was in high school, he was in the band. Today his band teacher decided to have a reunion. I have never seen Rob play his tuba before. It was a lot of fun to see them get together and play. They had students from as recently as 2009 to as old as 1995. Yep, Rob was one of the two oldest there. The girls were fascinated by the tuba. Rob showed them how to play it.
Sara tried but she was so fast that I couldn't snag a picture.
Anna thought she was pretty cool. She did pretty good.

Parades!

It's time for the Lehi Round Up Days! Even though Lehi has become way too big for me, I still love going back for the celebration days. We attended all three of the parades and the girls loved them all. And because of the girls, my dad has even started coming to them. I don't think he attended any of the parades with us as we were growing up. It's amazing what grandkids will do to someone!

Here are my two girls. Are they not the cutest things in the whole world!
Enjoying the parade.
Anna wanted to take a picture of the parade. We got the firetruck!
We met up with Lisa and her kids and Jana and Joey and their kids. All of the kids got so much candy. It was incredible!
My mom found these awesome sunglasses for Sara. She wouldn't take them off. She thought they were the greatest thing ever!

Swimming!

Swimming has entered our lives. We took the girls to Johnson's pool and they loved it! Anna is getting so brave! They have a slide that sends you into the deep end and she did it without any fear, well as long as someone was at the bottom to catch her. She floated every where without one of us in her tube. I love that she is getting comfortable in the water. Sara also loved it. It took a little bit of time for her to get used to the water, but once she did there was no getting her out.
I took this picture before we went up to the pool. Uncle Tyler has these cool shimmy bikes. The kids love them! Anna and Alli were playing nice and sharing this day (it doesn't happen all that often!).

Sara loves just chasing after them.

When we got up to the pool Rob created a train with the kids. They had a great time.

Anna has also been involved in swimming lessons. I was a little worried for her at the beginning because last year she would not get her head wet. She did great! She had no fear and even went down the big huge slide at the last lesson.

Uncle Zach

As I said in my previous post, Zach, Erin and Liam came out for the funeral. The girls love it when Uncle Zach comes to play, especially because he jumps on the trampoline with them. At one point he had all three kids in his arms. And let me tell you, those kids are not light!Anna loved the attention that Zach gave her.

I just thought that this was a cute picture of Sara. She is growing up so fast. In fact, she has been attending nursery and loves it. She doesn't even care that I leave her there.

Sara and Liam found the water. Those two can be quite mischievious! They ended up getting pretty wet, but they were pretty happy about it!

Grandma's Funeral

My Grandma's funeral was very nice. All of my relatives were there, minus one of my cousins who is currently serving our country in Qatar. Grandma would be so proud of her heritage. All of her sons and grandsons served missions and a couple of her granddaughters as well. All of her children spoke, with the grandchildren singing "I Am A Child of God". I'm sure Grandma was pleased with the service. I know that she is happy, but she is still greatly missed.
Zach and Erin came in for the funeral. I think this is one of the only pictures that we have of the entire family together. My dad and his siblings.
The spouses.

Grandma Hadfield

My sweet grandma passed away on Friday at the age of 89. She was very ready to go and has wanted this to happen for a long time. I can only imagine how great the reunion in heaven was. She was probably met with open arms by my Grandpa, who has been gone for almost 27 years, all of her sisters, my cousin, Mandy, and my sweet babies. How lucky they are to have another Grandma to spoil them!

I have had a hard time grasping that she is really gone and that I will not be able to go down and visit with her anymore. She's been around my whole life and to be gone just doesn't seem possible. I was fortunate enough to visit with her about two weeks ago and tell her that I loved her. Her last words to me were that she loved me too. I'm so glad that my girls were able to know her. Anna loved to go and visit Grandma Great. She knew that there was always chocolate available. Grandma did not miss one of Anna's birthdays. She made it known that family was very important to her.
One of the missions that my Grandma served was in the Washington DC temple. I loved to get together with her and talk about all of the wonderful sights back there. I learned so much from her over the years. She was a wonderful woman with a wonderful legacy. I will miss her greatly. Goodbye Grandma. I love you!

Combined 60th Birthday

Mom and Dad Cloward's 60th Birthdays are one month apart. Since they are heading out on a journey to "see" America for the next 8 weeks, we decided to throw them a joint party. The kids were extremely interested in riding bikes. Sara even got involved.

Funny thing is that the Grandparents both got new bikes for their birthdays. Grandpa took off like a pro.

Grandma needed a little bit more help. Joe helped her out a little bit.
Lori was flown in from Florida for the grand occasion. Here are all of the girls, minus Lisa.
Happy 60th! Hope you are having a grand time!

Happy Birthday Dad!

We went out to dinner for my dad's birthday. He chose the place, we all showed up. My girls absolutely adore their Grandpa. Sara will ignore everyone else if Grandpa is in the room. He is the only one that matters.

We went back to my parent's house for cake and ice cream. The girls helped Grandpa blow out his candles.

Grandpa and his girls.

The girls didn't want to eat any cake, only the frosting. Little girls hopped up on sugar is such a great thing! Anyway, hope you had a great birthday, Dad. I love you!

The Planetarium

We had plans to go to "This is the Place Heritage Park". Well, the weather had other plans. It rained quite a bit, but since we were already in Salt Lake, we decided to take the kids to the Planetarium instead. First of all, we had to eat lunch. We couldn't find a park so we ended up eating in the parking lot. Good times!

We finally made it to the Planetarium after taking a tour of Salt Lake. The kids loved the fact that they were able to run and be free. There was a very cool ball thing that Sara absolutely loved! She was looking up the majority of the time.
The kids got to walk on the moon:
And then got to walk on Mars:
They also got to play with the weather map:
