Silly Sara

Sara's personality is starting to come out in a big way. She is hilarious! Today Anna and I were playing a game on the computer when all of the sudden Sara came running in like this:

She had gotten into Anna's clothes hamper and proceeded to take all of the clothes out. She then put the hamper on her head and started running around the house...giggling the whole time. Of course, she had her blankie in tow. She can't go anywhere without that!

She then tipped over and tried to stand up. It was like watching a hamster on a wheel. She is such a silly little girl. I sure love her!

Busy, Busy Little Girls!

Sara and Anna are definitely keeping me on my toes lately. Today was no different. With the weather being so ugly outside, we spent the day in. We played games on the computer and Anna told me some great stories that involved a lot of frogs and camping. Ever since she went camping with Rob she has been fixated on this subject (still trying to get Rob to blog about that!). She talks about going camping and sleeping in a tent. Well, tonight she decided that she wanted to roast marshmallows. She grabbed a toothpick and a large marshmallow and held it over the pot that I was cooking in. She thought it was great that her marshmallow was actually warm.
Sara is in love with the vacuum. Every time I pull it out she screams with delight. Tonight I let her help me. She had a great time. Guess I need to find a small little vacuum for her to play with so I can actually get some work done. Hope the excitement doesn't wear off before she is actually able to help me.
The good thing about having busy little girls during the day is that they crash hard at night. It is so much fun having two little girls to snuggle at night.

Aubrey Jane

We got a new niece yesterday...Aubrey Jane. Congratulations Jana and Joey. She's a cutie! Anna fell in love immediately. She kept insisting that she hold her and was upset if any of us were holding her and she wasn't. In fact when we got out to the car after visiting the new baby Anna proceeded to tell us that she wants two baby brothers. I guess we will get right on that!
Sara on the other hand could have cared less about the new baby. She just wanted to run from one side of the room to another.
On the way out Rob told Anna that he wanted a ride up top to the car. She agreed so Rob tried to climb on top of her shoulders. It didn't even last long enough for me to get a decent picture. What a silly little family I have!

Wii!

What to do on a Friday night when you have no other plans? Play Princess Adventure on the Wii, of course. Lucky Kassi came by to pick up a book and got sucked in. Gotta love those adventurous Friday nights!

Busy Little Sara

Sara is so busy! I am having a hard time keeping up with that little girl and she is only one! Last weekend Rob and Anna took a daddy-daughter date to Moab (I'm trying to get him to blog about that!) so Sara and I spent some quality time together. We went down to my Grandma's house for another hot dog roast. She was very intent on getting into the fire, so I had to preoccupy her with a basketball. She loved it! Her and Grandpa played a couple of games. I'm pretty sure the ball didn't get anywhere near the net!
The other day Anna left her markers out. Sara found the blue one and proceeded to color herself, the walls and the carpet. I was about ready to scream, mostly because she was up from about 2 until 7 the previous morning. Luckily I was on the phone with my sister-in-law and she told me that I needed to get a picture of her. That made me find the humor in the situation. Also, lucky for her the marker came off the wall and the carpet. She was a bit rosy from me scrubbing all the blue off of her.And today she was able to get her stitches out. Thank goodness it was only a week. I'm so glad that they are out and I don't have to keep stopping her from trying to pull them out. My little Sara...Oh, how much I love you but you sure are a busy little thing!

My sister-in-law took some pictures of the girls for me a couple of months ago. Here are a couple of my favorites! Thanks Jana...You always do such a great job!

Not Again!!!!

In my previous post I said that our backyard was almost baby proofed. Well, Sara proved me wrong! Today she was out back playing with Anna again while I was doing the dishes, watching them out the window. Sara picked up Dobbers ceramic water dish and threw it on the ground, shattering it to pieces. Before I was able to get outside to her (which took all of 10 seconds) she had picked up one of the pieces and sliced the palm of her hand open. So we made another emergency trip to the doctor. The cut wasn't very long, but it was very deep. Deep enough that it required two stitches! It took me and another doctor to hold her down while the other doctor stitched her up. She was not too happy with me. I felt so bad. Watching them put the needle into her wound to numb it made me cry. My poor little girl! But she is doing surprisingly well right now. I have knocked her out with Tylenol, so I'm guessing that helped. This is the same hand that she broke only six weeks ago and has only had her cast off for two weeks. I don't know if I am ever going to be able to keep up with this girl!

Here she is with some sort of numbing agent on her hand. That is blood on her onesie and she had a shirt on top of that. She bled quite a bit!

Spring

I love that spring is finally here. The weather has been so great. Our yard is finally baby-proofed enough that the girls can go outside and play in the backyard by themselves. I found them today playing ball with Dobber. I'm so excited for the weather to stay warm enough that they can spend the majority of the day out here.

A Day at the Park

The weather was so beautiful today that we had to take advantage of it. For FHE we grabbed sandwiches and headed to the park for picnic dinner. The girls had a great time on playground and the swings. We have learned that Sara is a daredevil. She will try everything that Anna does. I am having a hard time keeping up with her.
Getting ready for a race down the slide. I think Sara won.
Swinging on the swings with Daddy.

Having a great time on the swings.
As she was climbing up the stairs to go on the slide she looked at me and said, "I want my picture taken now, mom.". How could I resist?
Of course, Sara had to follow!

The First Sign of Spring!

It was time for the annual burn in the garden, which means it was time for the first hot dog roast of the season. The girls were so excited to go out and play in the sun and the dirt. When we first go there my uncle had his old 1970 Ford out so we used it as a play pen to keep Sara contained. She was way to infatuated with the fire!

Then it got a little bit cold so we put both of the girls in the cab of the truck and the fun began. Sara loved playing with the steering wheel.
When cousin Jayde showed up it was time to go play on the "airplane" that the neighbors had. We put Sara on the wing and she was so heavy that Kristin had to balance out the other side!
Anna is being very independent lately and had to cook her own hot dog. It was quite dirty by the time she pulled it out, but she didn't care, she did it herself!
Here's the whole gang, minus Zach, Erin, Liam, Kassi and Rob (who was working on our garden.) We sure missed them!
Sara loved being outside. She refused to let me pick her up!
Grandma and her girls.

Sara loves Grandpa. She refuses to go to anyone else when he is around!
We introduced Sara to the swing today. She loved it. She would squeal with laughter and yell "Wee!".
It took a little bit of coaxing to get Anna to go down the slide, but once she did we couldn't get her off!
We had a great time and are excited to do it again next week (hopefully with Rob!) when the weather will be a little bit warmer!

Drywall is here

I haven't posted for awhile about the progress of the basement. Rob has been working like crazy when the girls are asleep to get the insulation and the wiring done. Well, we are finally ready for drywall. It was delivered yesterday and it was quite the sight. There was a large truck that parked in the field behind our house and then lowered this huge arm full of drywall sheets into the backyard. The girls were entertained by the whole thing and I'm sure it was quite the sight. So, drywall is starting on Monday. I'm so excited to get it done. I think we are going to have a sewing/craft room for me, and an exercise room for Rob and a playroom for the girls. That is the one that I am the most excited about. I can put all of the toys downstairs and not have to worry about cleaning it up before company comes!

Disney on Ice

Anna and I went with Grandma Cloward, Lisa, Katie, Sophie, Merf and Alli to Disney on Ice. The girls had so much fun and Anna has been talking about Peter Pan all day today.
She really did have a great time, even if you can't tell here. She was mad at me that I made her stop watching the Zamboni to look at the camera.
Here's Grandma and all of the little girls. Once again, Anna and Alli were too into the Zamboni to look at the camera.
Grandma and Anna (dang that Zamboni!).
Here they are watching the show. When I asked Anna what her favorite part was she said "Tinkerbell was sick. She drank the milk. We had to clap to make her feel better and then she was happy!". She is such my little princess!

Go BYU

We went to the BYU basketball game tonight. It was a lot of fun, made even greater by BYU winning the MWC again. Anyway here are two of my BYU fans. Sara did great. She only got really fussy around the end of the game. She tried to sing the fight song (we will help her learn that later) and would clap when everyone else would. She's at such a fun stage right now. Anna got an eye spy kit, which is pretty much a little magnifying glass, and had it pressed up to her eye the majority of the game. She was pretty intent on finding Cosmo. She would get really excited every time the fight song came on because that meant she got to do the "rah, rah, Go Cougars!". She is a very devout Cougar fan. Looks like we brought her up right! Oh, and she wouldn't even sit by Rob or I. She had to be by her Merfy or Alli and towards the end of the game she gravitated to our in-laws brother in law. It's a good thing he likes kids!

Just another Saturday

Rob is going full force on getting the basement ready for sheet rocking, so I am in charge of keeping the girls entertained (sometimes I really wish I had a break from doing that!). Anyway, I got a fabulous idea from my friend, Rachel, and decided to put it to the test. I told the girls that they were going to go swimming and to get their swimming suits on. I then added a couple of drops of blue food coloring to the bathwater and let them swim to their hearts content. They had so much fun. This picture of Anna cracks me up. I have some gel eye covers that Anna thinks are goggles. Even though she can't see through them and they hurt her eyes a little bit she still continues to wear them. Also, she took Sara's toy rings and put them on her arms thinking that they were floaties. That imagination of hers is so great! Thanks for the great idea, Rachel! Anna spent almost an hour in there. We are definitely doing that one again!
I had to take this picture of Sara. She is such a snuggler of babies and stuffed animals. She has this doll that she has started to take everywhere. She gives it loves and kisses (she puts her mouth on it and makes a clicking noise with her tongue...so cute!). Anyway, she wouldn't let go of it even to eat today.

Just So Tired

Rob and I went out on a date tonight for the first time in I don't know how long. Anyway, when we got home our babysitter(my sweet niece, Missy) told us that Sara had wandered around for a little bit, softly crying, and then it just stopped. When she went to investigate, this is what she found; She was done. So she found her blankie and a soft place on the floor and fell asleep. She didn't even flinch when I took this picture. She only moved when I felt her stomach to see if she was still breathing. I guess she was just too tired to care.

Friends

I love this picture. It shows the girls actually getting along and loving each other, which is rare, and their blankies. Sara's cast actually came off after this picture was taken. Not by a Dr, but by herself. She has taken it off so much that we have just left it off at this point. It's only one week early and now we don't have to take her in to the Dr to have it off. She just saved us some money!
