Halloween Parade

Today at Anna's school they had a Halloween parade. It was pretty cute. They had learned some cute songs and they performed them for us, after they paraded around in a circle in their costumes. Then we were able to eat the cookies that they had made.
They are such a cute group of girls and they all get along with each other pretty well.
After the parade, Anna, Sara and I went and did our favorite activity...We got the car washed. The girls think that it is the greatest thing in the world. They love watching the water spray the car. I think they also really enjoy it because the place where we go always give them suckers. It was the first time Sara got one and I think she really enjoyed it.

Carving Pumpkins

We finally carved pumpkins last night. Rob actually had to go and collect for "Friends of Scouting" and he took Sara with him, so it was just me and Anna. We had a lot of fun. Anna couldn't believe all of the "yucky" stuff inside of it. Me, I forgot that big pumpkins mean more guts! We bought a kit that had several stencils in it, but I just couldn't use them. What's the fun of carving pumpkins when you are able to cheat. So, I let Anna chose what shapes she wanted for the eyes and nose for both hers and Sara's. I just followed directions. I don't think they turned out too bad and Anna loved them. That's all that matters!

On a side note, my dad was able to retire today. He has worked for the same place for 45 years and is so happy to be done. Congrats Dad!

Wadley Farms Halloween Party

Every year my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins all throw a huge Halloween party at their barn. They have a deejay and award prizes for the best costume. The little kids have a blast and get hopped up on sugar. The adults love to grove to all of the awesome 80's hit songs! Thanks guys for such a great night!

Here is a picture of the headless horseman driving his carriage.

This guy won the costume contest because he had the guts to show up wearing a bright red unitard. Be glad I got a picture of the back. Here's my sweet grandma dressed as a rodeo clown holding my angel Sara. I love that they are both smiling!
Here's Anna dancing with her friend Maddie.
My mom dressed up as a hippie. Anna was so scared of her. She had to take her wig and glasses of in order for the girls to even come close to her.

Birthday Cake

Today we had the Hadfield family over for cake and ice cream. Anna wanted a Cinderella cake. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted to do, but it didn't quite turn out. But Anna loved it and it was Cinderella in her eyes...That's all that matters.

Halloween Fun...Continued

For some reason my computer wouldn't allow me to post any more pictures, so you get two posts about the same thing.
Here is Anna eating her doughnut off a stick. That kid will do anything for sweets!
Here is Sara bobbing for apples. She had a great time, but was soaking wet. We think it is a right of passage into the family to sit in your white onesie and bob for apples. All the little kids have done it so far!
The girls had a lot of fun. I love this time of year!

Cloward Halloween Party

Every Halloween we try and get together as a family and have a Halloween Party. This usually entails getting the kids all dressed up and having a picture taken. Surprisingly this year, there were not a lot of protests. It was nice weather and the kids seemed pretty excited to be all dressed up.
We also bob for apples and try to eat doughnuts off a stick (we're too lazy to tie them to a string). The kids had a blast. I love having family traditions.

Here is Dorothy (Alli) and two Princesses (Anna and Katie)

Sara the angel and Jack the chicken...Aren't they so cute!
The whole gang. Yes, that is a lot of cousins and we are missing some!
My sweet girls.

Final Day of Vacation and Disney

Our last day at Disneyland we just tried to enjoy the day. We didn't really do a lot of rides, but we did both of the parades. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of them.
Here is Anna in front of Sleeping Beauties Castle. She wouldn't hold still for very long, which is why the picture is blurry.

Here is Sara enjoying the Winnie the Pooh ride. It was so colorful and vibrant that she couldn't move her eyes fast enough to catch everything around here.

And finally we have Rob and Anna driving in the Autopia. Rob actually recorded this and it was hilarious. He let Anna steer and she just moved the wheel from side to side, crashing the car, laughing hysterically the whole time. Rob said that he got a little bit of whiplash, but they both enjoyed their time!

Happy Birthday Anna!

It's hard to believe that my little girl is three today. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was counting down the days until my due date. But now I can't imagine my life without her. She brings such joy to me. I love being able to watch her discover the world. I love you, Anna, my princess!

Her blessing pictures, at 3 months.

Her first birthday. Gotta love the hair and the cheeks!
At her second birthday. I wish her hair would stay in those ringlets!
And today...With her birthday doughnut. We will be having another party tomorrow with her birthday cake.

Vacation, Day 4...Mickey's Halloween Party

We were able to attend Mickey's Halloween Party with a couple of our friends. It was a lot of fun. They have California Adventures all decked out for Halloween. I loved this so much I had to take a picture of it. They have little trick or treat booths set up all around the park and everyone gets to go and get candy. We walked away with a ton!

This party is the one time everyone is allowed to dress up. Here we are getting ready to go and play. Anna is in her new Ariel costume and Sara is in the lady bug costume. BTW...her costume is really for cold weather and it was about 90 degrees. Yikes! We didn't keep her in it for very long!

They also have little picture booths with characters in them. Here we are with Ariel and Mulan. They had villains as well, but Anna wouldn't go near them at all! Oh, and because it was around Anna's birthday she got a pin that had her name on it and everywhere we went the cast members would say "Happy Birthday Princess Anna!". It threw me off at first but it was pretty fun!

We searched all over the park for this particular Princess...Cinderella. Anna was so excited to have her picture taken with her and Cinderella was so cute with her. It made my day to see my little princess so excited! Oh, and you can see Sara's fascination with Snow White. She wouldn't take her eyes off of her!

Vacation, Day 3...Disneyland!!!!

It was our first day of Disneyland. Anna was so excited to see the castle. The first ride that we decided to do was Peter Pan. All through the line Anna was crying, saying that it was going to be too scary. She didn't cry during the ride, but she didn't want to go on any other rides after that. Finally we convinced her to try Dumbo and she was hooked. She ended up loving all of the other rides. She was especially excited to meet the Princesses. She got to meet Pocahontas (she had no idea who she was because we have not seen the movie!), Jasmine and Sleeping Beauty. Rob even got to the be in the picture with her. Seeing that we had such good luck with the Princesses (by good luck I mean no crying from either of the girls!) we decided to go and visit Minnie and Mickey. They did Minnie great, but as you can tell in the picture, they were a little weary of Mickey.
That night we decided to celebrate Anna's birthday a couple of days early. I had made reservations to Goofy's Kitchen. It was a lot of fun and they catered to Anna. Plus because she was still two we were able to save a lot of money because she is still free! Here she is with her hat and balloons.
Anna loved seeing all of the characters. Sara, not so much. Goofy scared her pretty good!
They even had Goofy and Pluto come and sing Happy Birthday to her. Here's the cupcake that they brought. We all had a great time. I have no idea how we are going to top this birthday!

Vacation, Day 2

The second day we traveled to visit our friends in California. Anna and Sara had a blast with their girls. Anna and Bella are only a month apart and Sara and Lexi are about two months. It wasn't even hard to get them to play together...They acted like old friends. It was pretty cute.

This first picture is Anna cutting Bella's hair (with fake scissors, of course!).

Then they decided to get in their rain gear, even though it was extremely sunny!

Here is their oldest daughter, Emily, reading to the other girls. She did a great job and the girls were entertained!
Lexi and Sara were trying to bond. It was pretty funny!
Thanks Ryan and Michelle! You guys are the best!

Vacation, Day 1

The first day of our vacation started when we drove to Mesquite. When we got to our hotel we gave Anna one of her birthday presents...A camera. She loved it and immediately started taking pictures. As soon as we figure out how to download them we will post them.

Outside Again

So after all the cold weather that we have been having, today was actually a nice day. The girls were driving me crazy so we went for a walk and then I let them play in the backyard for awhile. The girls had a great time. Anna jumped on the trampoline for a long time. She kept counting down and saying blast off. Too much "Little Einsteins"I put Sara in the little swing. She had a great time. This smile was on her face the whole time. What a cute kid.
Here are both my cute girls playing on the swing set. Anna is the perfect size for the slide and has figured out how to climb the "rock" wall in order to get up to it. It was a great day. I love this time of year. It's my idea of perfection! And, yes, both of my girls are in their "cougar" outfits. When I told Anna that we were going to watch the cougars tonight she insisted that both her and Sara wore their shirts. Too bad we ended up turning off the game before the first quarter was even over. Man, that was an ugly game!!!!

Cornbelly's

Tonight we dropped Sara off at my parents and went with our fun, crazy friends to do the corn maze at Thanksgiving Point. We walked all over David Archelleta! I had debated about bringing Sara and I am so glad that I decided not to because it was so blasted cold! Poor Anna. I thought that we had bundled her up pretty good, but everything on her body was frozen by the time we got home.
They had a bunch of activities to do there. Here are Rob and Anna in front of the pyramid of pumpkins. It was so amazing to see how they were carved. There are some really talented people out there!

Here is one of my idol...Donny Osmond. Sorry, but as good as this pumpkin is, they really didn't do him justice!

See if you can guess who these next two are. I'll put the answer at the bottom of the picture.
That's right...President Hinckley and LaVell Edwards.

Here is our cute family, minus sweet Sara, in the middle of the corn maze. We never really did make it through the correct way. Right in the middle of the whole thing Anna informed us that she had to go potty. She refused to go in the corn stalks so we had to blaze a trail. Rob doesn't seem to happy in this picture, but he assured me that he had fun!
And here we are right near the exit in the big ole' rocking chair. Anna was so done by the time we got here. But we had a great night. Thanks Misdom's for the fun idea and the company!
