Play Group

The last play date before summer was today. The girls had so much fun together, jumping on the trampoline, blowing bubbles and drawing on the sidewalk. I love that Anna has so many cousins so close in age that live so close to us. She had a great time!

I love my girls!

I was trying to get Sara ready for bed when all of the sudden Anna jumped on my back and started laughing. Sara then grabbed my face and started trying to eat me. So what does Rob do...grabs the camera instead of helping me. I guess it did make for a good photo opp!

Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My!

Rob took the day off today so we went to the zoo. Anna loved it! I had a great time as well. I actually haven't been to the zoo since I was in 5th grade and we took a field trip there. This is a picture of Anna making the sound the elephants make. Rob taught her it was a "Phbbt" sound. She was so excited to show off her wealth of knowledge to us by making the noise the animal made that we were seeing. It was pretty cute. Here they are in front of the giraffes...Daddy's favorites. It was fun to see the new baby and to watch them it. It was interesting watching them swallow....It is a long way down!
Here is a picture of me with my girls. I was noticing that I am not in a lot of our family pictures because I am the one taking them. I'm going to try and fix that. We rode the train and Anna thought it was the greatest thing in the whole world. She is still talking about it tonight. When you ask her what the train says, she responds "All Aboard!". Thanks Polar Express!

Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial Day was a lot more relaxed than those of the past. We usually visit about five or six cemeteries. This year we only visited one...Lehi. It was just to dang cold to go out with Sara.It was again nice to see how many people showed their love for Jason, Ellie and Grace. They had a couple of toys and lots of flowers. It was great.Afterwards we had a BBQ with my family. It was a fun get together and Rob prepared all of the food so I didn't really have to do much. Have I mentioned what an awesome husband I have! Anyway, after we were done eating and while we were waiting for the ice cream to set, everyone went outside to jump on the trampoline.
This is Anna and Aunt Kassi. Kassi is the fun aunt that Anna always wants around!
Here is Jayde trying to make a point with the basketball.
Uncle Casey decided to give her a hand. All in all it was a great day. Even better knowing that Rob isn't going to work tomorrow. We are headed to the zoo. Yay!

Daddy's Girl

Anna loves doing everything that her dad does. The other day Rob had to measure the window wells so that we can finally get covers and Anna found his other tape measure and strapped it to her pants just like daddy. She is definitely a daddy's girl!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

Because the last couple of days have been so rainy we have been forced to play inside. Anna has been begging me to ride her bike, so I let her ride in the garage. She is actually getting pretty good at steering and peddling at the same time. Oh, and of course, she had to bring her "Rella" doll to ride with her as well.Sara just keeps growing and growing. She is big enough to play in her sit and spin. She loves it and she is able to have the freedom that she wants.

You gotta love that smile! She is such a sweetie! I even get that big of a smile at 3:30 in the morning.

Play Date

We went to the park with Grandpa and Grandma Hadfield and cousin Jayde. Anna had so much fun. I caught this picture as they were walking back from the drinking fountain.
She was giggling so hard! I need to take her to the park more often. It wore her out, which was an added benefit!
Here they are going down the slide. Grandma would send them down and Grandpa would make sure he caught them.
Anna wasn't too sure about this slide. It was a little bit longer than the one she was used to. She came to love it though.
Sara slept the majority of the time, but when she woke up she got to play with her Grandpa. She is getting to be a lot of fun, talking up a storm and smiling all the time.
Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful time at the park and thanks for spending time with my girls. They love you so much!

A day of progress

After having a couple of nights without very much sleep, we decided to try cereal with Sara. She loved it! I couldn't get it into her mouth fast enough. She kept grabbing the spoon to try and get it in faster. It was great. Hopefully it will work and she will sleep through the night.
This is Anna helping me get dinner ready. She thinks that the salad spinner is a toy and has to constantly play with it. So when I actually need to use it, she has to be the helper. I guess she will come in handy some day.
Speaking of Anna, I haven't wanted to jinx myself so I haven't said anything, but I believe that Anna is officially potty-trained. She has gone about six days without any accidents, including at night. In fact, just yesterday she came into the other room and told me that she had to go. Yay! Lets hope the trend continues!

For the Love of Blankies!

Anna received a crochet blanket from her Grandma Cloward when she was about six months old. She absolutely loves this blanket! She refuses to sleep without it. In fact, she carted it everywhere when we lived in the Bahamas so Grandma made her a little blanket to carry around.
Sara received a crocheted blanket as well. It looks as if she is going to follow in her sisters footsteps. She loves to put her fingers through the holes. I have noticed that she will fall asleep a lot faster and easier if she is snuggling her blanket. I guess the addiction starts early!

Dinosaur Museum...Roar!!!!

One of the many activities that we did this week was visit the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. I didn't think Anna would like it very much, but I was wrong. This is actually the first time she can remember where she has actually talked to me about some of the things that we saw the day after. All day today she has talked about the giant shark, the dinosaurs that were scary and even remembered seeing a fake Santa Claus. I can't believe how big my little girl is getting.

This is a great picture of all the little kids looking into the window where the workers are supposed to show them how they dig up the bones. Funny thing is, there isn't anyone in there, but the kids stared in there for about five minutes.

Here is Anna dressed up as a dinosaur. She loved this little puzzle area. It was fun to see her starting to match things up.
Here's Anna digging for fossils. She could have spent all day in there until a bunch of rowdy kids came in and started throwing sand around. It drove me crazy that the parents didn't say anything.

Crazy, Busy Week

It has been an insane, but fun, week. Hence, the reason for not blogs for the last couple of days. It started out with an extended birthday for me. On Tuesday all of the girls in Rob's family went to the Brick Oven for dinner. It was great. I didn't even have to bring Anna or Sara with me. I think that is the first time I have been without them for longer than a half an hour. I didn't know quite what to do with myself.
Then on Wednesday Rob and the girls made sure I had a good birthday. Anna walked around the house saying "Happy Berfday Mommy" pretty much all day. That night we went to Cafe Rio (yum!) even though Rob didn't feel very good. Anna gave me my presents and then unwrapped them for me. This is her carrying around an exercise outfit that she picked out for me. Thursday night we went to dinner at the Golden Coral with my family. It was a lot of fun to just sit and talk to everyone. It was also kind of a celebration for my SIL, Erin, who graduated from Law School this week. Congrats Erin!
Friday we went back to Rob's parents house to have dinner and watch "The Bee Movie". I have to admit, I didn't watch any of it. The kids seemed to enjoy it, though. And then today we had to be up bright and early to have family pictures done. I was surprised of how well all of the kids did considering it was so early. These are a couple of pictures that I took when we got home because the girls looked so cute.
I told Anna to stand by the flowers. She kept bending over and sniffing them. This picture was taken after she stood up.
Here is my happy girl Sara. She is such a trooper. We just discovered this week that the poor girl has reflux. Now she has medicine she is an even happier baby. This is her four month picture. What a cutie! Oh, and did I mention that she now weighs 16 pounds! Wow! But chubby babies are happy babies!

Fun in Wales

Today we went to Wales to visit family. It was so much fun. They have a lot of land to explore. Anna rode the four-wheeler for the first time. We couldn't get her off. Everyone around her could hear her scream "Yee Haw!". It was great. Here she is before her first ride. Then she had to ride with Alli and Grandpa
They also had a bounce house. Anna was in heaven! It was extremely difficult to get her to leave.

Sara also had a great time, snuggling with Daddy. Then she got to meet her cousin, Matt, from Florida. They are two months apart, but you wouldn't be able to tell who was older.
We all had a great time and we all were completely worn out. Thanks for a great time everyone!

My Chunky Monkey!

I had to take a picture of Sara's feet. They are so chunky that they have been compared to "Cabbage Patch" feet. I wish that I had a picture of my feet when I was pregnant with her. My guess is that they would be pretty comparable. I didn't know that it was a hereditary trait!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

First of all, I can't believe that it is the first day of May and we woke up to snow on the ground! This is crazy! But this evening Rob decided that it was windy enough to fly a kite. Anna loved it! She didn't seem to mind how cold it was, she just wanted to get that kite even higher. It was a great Anna/Daddy bonding moment!
