Blessing Day

Sara's blessing day was today. It went very well. We had a lot of support with a lot of family and friends. Sara did great...Didn't even cry. Her dress was beautiful (made by my mom). I will try and get a better picture posted later (we are doing her pictures this Wednesday). Anyway, this is our new family picture. Sara with Grandpa and Grandma Hadfield.

Pedicure Anyone?

Anna loves lotion! I have rubbed it on her feet in the past and now she will follow me through the house so she can repay the favor! We were getting ready to go out tonight and she decided that she wanted to give me a pedicure. My feet were so shiny. She's such a funny kid!

Technology

Anna has discovered the joys of the i-pod. Rob downloaded some Disney DVD's and she loves it. She can't figure out how to get the ear phones to stay in her ear so she has to hold the ear phones with one hand and the i-pod with the other.
Later she just gave up, got her blanket and watched the movie without audio.

The Great Outdoors!

The weather was fabulous today! Anna wanted to play outside so we dug out the sidewalk chalk and paint that Aunt Kassi gave her for Christmas. She had a blast! She was covered in paint by the time she got done. But I would rather have her happy and dirty than clean and miserable. Besides, it all came off in the tub!
Even Sara enjoyed the outdoors. She wasn't fussy at all. It was great! In these pictures you can see her lovely legs! I love chubby babies! We were teaching her how to write her name. She did pretty good. If you ask her how you spell her name she says, "A -N - N - N". Close enough if you ask me!

Happy Easter

Today was pretty uneventful. We were not able to do much because our church starts at 2:30 and doesn't get out until 5:30 (yes...we hate it!). Anyway, the girls woke up and Anna dug through her Easter basket. She was pretty excited to see a baseball glove and mitt. They also got new easter dresses. I tried so hard to get a good picture of them in their dresses...It didn't happen. So I had to settle for the one that is by the bunny. You can't really see Sara's so I took a picture with Rob holding her. So, because church was so late, Anna doesn't get a nap and she crashed at 8:00. Now we are enjoying the silence.

Passover

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law started a tradition a couple of years ago that includes having passover dinner with our Easter Celebration. We have all of the traditional food including lamb, matza, cheese, olives, grapes, raisins and lentil soup. We also sit on the floor to eat and we are not allowed to use utensils. They also share with us the story of passover. It is nice to have these little reminders of why we celebrate passover.

Easter Saturday

We had a very busy Easter Saturday. In the afternoon we had a hot dog roast with the Hadfields. It was a lot of fun. This is the first one that Anna has attended. She wasn't too keen on the smok(like her mom) and she would cry. It was very sunny, but very windy which made it kindof cold. But overall fun was had by all. Anna enjoying her hot dog that daddy fixed for her.
After that we ran home and showered (we all stunk) and then headed to the Clowards. Grandpa and Grandma set up an Easter Egg Hunt. All the kids had so much fun. This picture is of Anna and her cousins that are her age; Alli, Anna, Mason and Katie.
Anna was so excited to find the eggs. She had a basket full. She was even more excited to discover that some of the eggs contained money. She immediately put the coins in her pocket.

Happy Spring!

I am so excited that today is officially spring. I have had enough of winter! Today was supposed to be cold but it turned out to be a beautiful day. Rachel, I took this picture just for you. I was so excited to see that they had blossomed!

So Hungry!

Anna has learned a new phrase; So Hungry, with an emphasis on the so. We have no idea where she has picked this up but she has been saying it all day. Funny thing is that her appetite has picked up and she is eating everything! So maybe she is sooooo hungry.

Catch Up

Rob has been out of town the last couple of days (Baltimore) and took the good computer with him. So now I get to catch up on the blog.
This picture is just a really cute one of Sara. I can't believe how big she is getting.
Here is another cute one. It looks like she is pondering something very profound.
My two beautiful girls. I don't know why Anna is smiling like that. It seems like she is doing that in all of her pictures now.
This is Sara and her new cousin Liam. They are exactly eight weeks apart and they are about the same length and almost the same weight.
Overall it has been a pretty interesting three days. I don't know if I will let Rob leave the state again until Sara is at least a year old. This was hard!

Game Night!

Once a month we get together with a group of friends where we eat and play games. Tonight it was our turn to be the hosts. We had yummy subs and lots of vegetables and a ton of candy. We also played some game that Rob swears he didn't make up "Spit in the Spoon". Some people ended up wet and we only played it for about ten minutes before we all decided to play something else. The greatest part about the new game "Scene it Squabble" is that the girls won! The guys are always giving us grief because they say that they are smarter than us. For once we proved them wrong!

BTW...Anna took these pictures as well!

Fun with Aunt Kassi

Aunt Kassi watched Anna tonight so we could have game night at our house. I guess they went to Target where she completely spoiled Anna. Here they are wearing their silly hats. Then Anna had to have me wear it also. They did look pretty cute! The bottom two pictures are ones that Anna took. She is becoming a good little photographer!

My Little Pablo Picasso

Anna came running into my room so excited to show me something. This is what she decided to do in her spare time!
Thank goodness she didn't have any clothes on yet or I would be blogging asking how to get ink out of clothes!

Pretty, Pretty Princess

Anna and I attended "Princesses on Ice" with her cousin Alli and Aunt Merf. I have to admit that it was pretty cute. I had so much fun watching Anna get excited to see all the Princesses, especially Cinderella. It was also nice to have some Mommy and Anna time. We were due.

One More Thing

On my links there is a link to my sister-in-law's photography site, Jana's photography. She has posted a couple of pictures of Sara. Check it out! She does an awesome job! I would highly recommend using her!

Welcome Jack!

We have another nephew. Jackson Todd was born very early this morning. Here we are holding the cute little guy. Sara is going to have so much fun with her cousins! Congrats Chad and Maren!

Two Months!

I can't believe my little Sara is already two months old. Isn't she so cute! She has started to just grin and coo all the time. It's so fun! I told Anna to pose for a picture with Sara and she insisted on making Sara look at the camera. Sara wasn't too happy about it!
Anna loves her little sister. She insists on being mommy's little helper. She even tried to put her into the tub the other day (that was interesting!). I just have to remember that she wants to do what mom does.

Welcome Liam!

My nephew, Liam Zachary was born this afternoon. 10 lbs! He seems like a pretty content little boy. Oh, and check out how great his hair is! He sure is a cutie! Congrats Zach and Erin!

5 reasons why I love being a mom

Today was a hard day. It feels like we haven't left the house in years! So I had to just sit down and make a list of at least 5 reasons why I love being a mom. Here is what I came up with:

1. I'm the one that can make the hurt go away from the boo boo with just a kiss.

2. I'm the one that Anna runs to when she is scared or sad.

3. I'm the one that gets the biggest grins and coos from Sara.

4. I can take pride in knowing that I taught Anna her colors. She is finally getting it!

5. The greatest thing about being a mom is I get lots of loves and kisses from my girls. Nothing can make my heart melt faster than hearing Anna tell me she loves me.

I sure love my beautiful girls!

Rah! Rah! Go Cougars!

We went to the BYU basketball game the other night. Anna loved it! She has learned the fight song and was so excited to do it with the cheerleaders! We really don't know where she learned the song...We didn't teach it to her, but we are so proud! It's pretty funny because every time there is a sports team playing on TV she does the cheer, arm movements and all. If you ask her what a cougar says, she replies "Rah! Rah! Goooo Cougars!". While it is cute now, I hope she grows out of it. I don't want to deal with a cheer leading teenager!
