Outside...Finally!

The weather was finally warm enough that we could go outside for a little bit. So I bundled up Sara, threw a jacket on Anna and out we went. After I put Sara in the stroller Anna decided that her baby needed to go into the stroller as well. It took us about ten minutes to go across the street. Needless to say, we didn't go very far.
After we got home Anna decided that she needed to climb into the basket underneath the stroller. She thought she was being so tricky. Unfortunately, after I snapped these pictures she got her head stuck and it took me about five minutes to free her. She was screaming the whole time.
The other exciting thing about the weather getting warmer is that Daddy started putting up our new trampoline. Anna loves jumping on them, so we decided to splurge a little this year with the tax return and buy her one. After all, technically she did give us $1200 this year. I don't know who is more excited about getting the trampoline set up, her or myself. I am so excited because it has a safety net around it with a zipper. I can zip her in and not worry about her for a couple of minutes. Works great for everyone involved!

Say Cheese!

I think that I have said in a previous post that Anna has figured out how to use my camera. Here she is telling Sara to say cheese. Here's the picture that she took. Looks like Sara obeyed!

Absence from blogging

I actually have a good excuse for not blogging for awhile. This week has been insane! Rob has had meetings galore, Anna has pulled out a lovely two-year-old attitude, Sara has been extremely fussy (thank goodness only during the day...she is still sleeping great at night!), and to top it all of, I got sick. So today has been make up day in cleaning the house, grocery shopping, etc and now to catch up on the blog. This picture of Sara explains what I want to be doing!

Bowling

We took Anna bowling today. Check out her little bowling shoes...they were so cute! She beat us both...in the triple digits! I guess it helps when you have the bumpers. She was so fun, though. Everytime she would knock over the pins she would clap her hands and yell "Yay!". She also had to give everyone a high five.
*Side note...Anna saw me use the bathroom and came up to me afterwards and said "Good Job Mom! High Five!" I guess she figures I need the positive reinforcement as well!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a great day, regardless of how this picture looks! All of my sisters-in-law got together and dipped strawberries for our "men". I wish I had taken some pictures because all of the kids and adults were covered in chocolate. It was a lot of fun and I think that Rob appreciated my efforts.
This picture is of the girls in their Valentine outfits. They were pretty cute...even though Anna was being a little bit of a stinker! Hope you all had a great day as well!

You be the judge

For the first time since Sara was born, I had someone tell me that she looks just like her older sister. I don't see it...do you? These are pictures of them both at two weeks. Anna is on the left...Sara on the right.

Got Milk?

At my parents house the other day Anna found an old milk carton and started walking around with it, pretending to drink out of it. I don't know where she picked this up because neither Rob nor I drink from the carton. Makes me wonder what she is learning when she sleeps over at Grandpa and Grandma's house!

From Anna's Perspective

Anna had my camera and was walking around the house with it saying "cheese". I didn't realize that she had taken a picture until I downloaded them tonight. So I guess this is what Rob looks like from her angle.

One Month Ago

It's hard to believe that one month ago I was cursing this sweet little one, wishing she would just get out! But now I can't even imagine my life without her. I can't believe she is one month old. It's amazing how much she has changed already!

Anna had a sleep over at Grandpa and Grandma's house last night. When I went to pick her up this is what I found: My mom was going strong with the potty training. I just wish I had her energy and committment. Although, Anna did discover the joys of the toilet paper roll.

Also, I received a comment that I haven't lived up to my New Year's resolution of posting every day. When I made that resolution I only had one child that loved and respected me. That all changed one month ago. Hence, maybe one post a week. Hopefully it will get better, but who knows.

Pictures

A week ago I had Sara's pictures done for her birth announcements. My sister-in-law took them and she did an awesome job. This is one of the pictures that I love, but didn't include in the announcement, so I thought I would put it on the blog.
Unfortunately, she now has a cold and so we are watching her pretty closely for RSV. What a terrible time of year this is for newborns. No matter how much you shelter them, they are still in danger.

The Big Sister

Anna has figured out that Sara is here to stay. She is constantly wanting to help and hold her. She even tried to use the breast pump the other day (Rob is a little bit mortified over that one). Unfortunately she tries to much. She tried to get her out of her bouncy and into the tub the other day. She is a very good big sister and she is a sweetheart. I love them both!

My Beautiful Girls

Anna was intrigued with one of Rob's hawaii plants that flowered, so he picked it and put it in her hair. She kept it there until her nap, when, unfortunately, it fell apart. I thought it was a cute picture of her, though. Sara is growing like crazy. She is becoming more and more alert. I can't wait until she starts to smile. It should be soon!

The Fine Art of Air Hockey

So far Rob has taught Anna how to play pool and air hockey. It looks like it is going to be up to me to teach her how to play the "real" sports!
