16 Days and Counting!

Okay, so it doesn't look like this baby is going to come in 2007, against my wishes. We went to the Dr a couple of days ago and I am not doing anything. He also said that this baby is already bigger than Anna was at birth, which was 8 lbs 1 oz. He is predicting a 9 1/2 pounder. Ouch!
So my question to all my fellow bloggers, what are some of the ways that I can induce labour? All of your help is greatly appreciated!

Family Party

We had a family party at a place here in Pleasant Grove called Noahs. It was so much fun. I think Anna had more fun than any of us. She learned how to play billards and also how to play raquetball. It was a lot of fun to see some of my cousins and as an added bonus, Anna wore herself out and had a great nap. BTW...If you get a chance, check out the website for this place. It is www.mynoahs.com. You can rent a raquetball court which has a lounge area with a television, a computer, a kitchen area and a bathroom for 75 minutes for $15. What a deal!

Happy Birthday Rob!

According to Rob he became older than dirt today. Which makes me wonder, how old is dirt?
Anyway, we had fun celebrating today. Anna went and picked out some balloons for him. She had a tough time deciding between Mickey Mouse, Lightning McQueen and Curious George. She finally decided on Mickey. She was very excited to give them to him, more so because she wanted to play with them.
Anyway, Rob, I hope that you had a great birthday. Thank you for being a wonderful husband and father. I love you very much!

Christmas Wrap Up

Since I haven't blogged for a couple of days, I thought I would give a synopsis (wow! That was good word usage!) of our fabulous Christmas.
I have to say that I am quite impressed with Rob. He finished all of his Christmas shopping before Christmas Eve and even had them wrapped the afternoon of the 24th. This is a huge step for him! The following pictures are of Rob and Anna wrapping my present from Anna. It was covered in tape, but it was very cute. Anna refused to wear anything but her princess dress and crown that afternoon. She even went in and found her Cinderella shoes to match. I am impressed that she found the matching shoes.




We spent Christmas Eve at the Cloward's. This is our rendition of the nativity scene. I was the very pregnant Mary and Rob was the donkey (I am grateful I don't have pictures of that!). My nephew that is five was Joseph. I pretty much robbed the cradle at that point! Anna was a very uncooperative shepherd. She is the one in the red shirt.

Here she is unwrapping her present from her Uncle Cecil. It is a very cute bear that you can color on and it washes off. I just hope she doesn't think that she can color on all of her stuffed animals.

Here is Christmas morning. She got her kitchen and loved it! She found her dishes and served everyone "Hot, Hot" or as normal people call it, hot chocolate (Thanks Polar Express!!!). My parents, Kassi and Zach and Erin all came over to watch her open her gifts. She was very fun to watch. She would open the present and then ask for more! The funny thing is that when she would open clothes she would toss them to the side and look for something else to open. She was not interested at all in such trivial things! We had a great Christmas. It was so fun to watch Anna get excited over everything. She loves her kitchen and her shopping cart and she even got her first Barbie from her Aunt Kassi.

Rob and I actually ended up giving each other the exact same present. Without knowing it, we bought each other I-Pods. The only difference is that his is black and mine is silver. I guess great minds think alike!

After the storm

Funny thing, after Anna got away from Santa she realized that he had given her a present. She was so excited and came running over to rip the paper off. Unfortunately, she has now learned that prizes are underneath the paper and has proceeded to unwrap the presents that are under the tree. Ugh! We only had four more days for her to last.

Experiencing Santa

Anna got to meet Santa yesterday. We thought we had her all prepared. She knows exactly what he says and she told us several times that she wanted to see him. Even when Santa came in ringing his bells, she shouted hurray! Then he wanted her to come and sit on her lap. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Enjoy!

Anna's night out

As a family date night we took Anna to see "Enchanted". This was the first time we have taken her to a movie in a theater. She loved it! She got to sit in her own little chair and even had her own drink and popcorn. She was so cute during the show. She was excited to see the princess and the prince. She started dancing when they danced on screen, singing when they sang and clapping when they clapped. She was thoroughly entertained, as were we. It is a cute show. I would recommend it. Plus it is clean, which is always a huge plus!

The Home Stretch?

I have one month left in this pregnancy. I keep praying for less! But I have to say that I am sick of hearing about how little time I have left and how I am in the home stretch. I have to wonder to myself if these people realize that this is the hardest month of the whole pregnancy. I don't recall being this uncomfortable with the other two pregnancies. Maybe it is because I am chasing a two year old around this time. Or maybe it is because Heavenly Father makes you forget so you will continue to have children :). I think my biggest complaint right now are my feet. They are the size of elephant feet! I am not able to wear anything but flip flops, which isn't the greatest attire for 20 degree weather.

But even though I have complained a lot, I am very grateful to be pregnant. I know that there are many women out there that will never experience the little kicks and flutters that accompany pregnancy. But I am getting very excited to hold my new little one!

All Aboard the Polar Express

I have now watched the Polar Express everyday for the last eight days. I'm beginning to really despise that movie! But Anna is totally enthralled with it. I have never seen her get so animated about a movie. She yells "All Aboard" when the conductor does. She gets so excited to see Santa (we'll see how well she does with him in real life) and tells the kids to run to catch the train. It is pretty cute but I'm excited for this phase to end.

Can't Catch Me...I'm the Gingerbread Man!

I bought a gingerbread house kit the other day and it seemed like the perfect time to break it out. The kit came with a ton of candy...which made Anna very happy. We put Rob in charge of the icing. He did a fabulous job.

There isn't much left of her gingerbread man. Here she is sneaking some candy. BTW...I have my lovely husband to thank for snapping such a flattering photo of me. And yes, I really do feel that pregnant!

Winter Wonderland

It started snowing around three this afternoon. This is what it looked like about five. I love the trees when they are covered like this. Now it really feels like Christmas.

Not even for a minute

I left Anna alone for in my bathroom for just a minute. When I got back, this is what I found:



She had brown eye shadow all over her face, her shirt, the counter and the sink. What a mess! Thank goodness it was just eye shadow, easy to clean up, not nail polish or lipstick. But hey, she had a fun time!

Nesting Time

I don't know if it is because I am having a lot of contractions lately or what, but I suddenly feel the need to get everything organized. Right now the house is driving me nuts! Everywhere I look there is something else to do. Maybe I should just put some blinders on for the rest of this pregnancy and just focus on one thing at a time. Right now it should probably just be getting Christmas ready. We'll see how that goes! One step at a time, right?

Discovering Rokenbok

About six years ago Rob discovered this fun new toy called Rokenbok. They are little remote controlled construction vehicles that go around and pick up little balls. What you do when you gather all the balls is up to you. Anyway, Rob got a whole bunch of them for Christmas the following year. He played with them for about six months and then they have been in storage ever since. Last night he decided to introduce Anna to his fun, little world. She had a blast. The vehicles didn't really go very far, mostly in circles the whole time, but both Anna and Rob had a great time. Here are a couple of pictures of her playing and discovering Rokenbok.

Snow Day

How interesting that we get our first real snow day on December 1. Anna woke up, looked out the window and kept repeating "noh" and "noh-man". So we bundled her up and Rob took her outside to build her snowman. I thought I did a pretty good job getting her into her snow clothes, but she absolutely refused to put gloves on. I figured I would send her out without them and see what happened.

Here she is starting to build the bottom layer. As predicted, her little hands got extremely cold and she began to scream. She still refused to put her gloves on, so inside she came. She lasted about ten minutes. But it was all good, because she was due for a nap anyway.

Rob had to finish what he started, so he went out by himself and finished his snow sculpture...A lion. He was outside for a good hour, but look what he came up with. Here is the side view.

Front view of the snow lion. You can see how he thought of every little detail. What can I say...He's an engineer! Anyway, it was fun to get the snow. We definitely needed it. I'm sure the skiers and snowboarders really appreciated it.
