Go Lehi High!

My friend Rachel threw down a challenge for us to post memories and pictures of our high school years. Being the lazy (pregnant) person that I am, I refuse to go down and dig through boxes for my stuff, so you will just have to deal with dance pictures.

This was my very first dance date. I asked him. What a disaster. He was such a jerk! I don't think I spoke to him ever again after this dance.

Another dance date where I asked the guy...Do I see a trend starting? I remember thinking that I looked so cute for this dance. Notice my pegged pants and my shoelaces untied and tucked into my shoes. Wow! The styles were awesome back then!

I had to show this picture because you have to check out my date's hair. Yes, that is a mullet. Wow! What a hottie! Also, check out his belt. It is a braided one that is tied in a knot.

Okay, finally a dance where I was asked. This is my senior prom. My mom made my dress. I remember she was glueing sequins on it up until five minutes before my date arrived. I was kindof dating this guy, but after prom it fizzeled out.

High school graduation. I was lucky enough to have two cousins my same age graduate with me. This is the three of us right before the commencement ceremony. I thought I was having a perfect hair day. In fact, I still think it looked pretty good. My best friend, Sheralyn, can be seenin the corner. I wish that I could find a picture of us together.

And finally, a picture of my high school. It has changed since I attended. I think my graduating class was about 175. I knew everyone. Now days I think an average class is around 600. What happened to my small town?

Christmas Festivities

The past couple of days have been filled with fun Christmas activities. Last night Rob and I attended the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert with a couple of his family members. This is a great show. The music was fun and entertaining as were the lasers and pyro technics. It was also fun to listen to the drunk/stoned kid behind us. He was overly excited with just about everything. They really do put on a good show. I would recommend that everyone see them at least once.
Then today Anna and I went with some of our neighbors and my mom to the Festival of the Trees. I couldn't believe how much work and money went into some of those trees. It was also interesting to read the stories about the people that the trees were dedicated to. I was surprised to see how many babies there were. It made me realize that there are a lot of little guardian angels out there watching over us.

Pictures from Thanksgiving

I just received these pictures from Kassi from Thanksgiving Day. My mom gave Anna a sheet of star stickers and she went nuts with them. She especially liked putting them on her Grandpa.

Decorating the Tree

We put the tree up a couple of days ago, but didn't decorate it. We decided to wait until FHE. Anna had a great time. Here are a couple of pictures of her putting on the ornaments. They are all at the bottom of the tree and I am too lazy to change them, so that is where they are staying.

Anna's big girl bed

My Mom and Dad came over to drop something off and we suckered my dad into helping us put together Anna's new bed. Rob and my Dad worked on it for about an hour, but it is done. Yay! Anna is doing surprisingly well in it. She cried for about fifteen minutes when we put her down for her nap, but didn't try and get out. Then when we put her to bed tonight she didn't even cry. She hasn't even looked at her crib since we moved it out of her room. Hopefully this trend will continue after the baby is born. After all, there are going to be plenty of adjustments for her to get used to.

BTW...We did not put her on the top bunk. She is just playing up there in the picture.

Turkey Day

We had a great Thanksgiving Day. We headed over to the Clowards for dinner and pie. After that we headed to the Hadfields for leftovers. Nothing beats a turkey sandwich on homemade rolls Thanksgiving night. Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped make everything so wonderfully delicious!

Tyler's Home

We were able to go to the airport a couple of nights ago and pick up Rob's brother, Tyler. He is just the same, but more mature (a mission will do that to you...sometimes.). Anyway, Anna went right to him and gave him hugs. It was pretty cute. She was only two weeks old when he left so we didn't really know what to expect. Anyway, welcome home Ty! It's good to have you back!

Welcome Home Tyler!

Rob's brother, Tyler, comes home from his mission tonight. We are leaving in a couple of hours to go meet him at the airport. He has got to be exhausted. He left Sunday morning from the Ukraine and doesn't get in to SLC until 12:10 tonight, technically Wednesday morning. What a long journey. We are excited to see him. It's weird that it has been two years. Anna was only two weeks old when he left. WOW!

Daddy's home!

Yay! I can finally post again. Rob has been out of town (Florida...don't we all feel sorry for him :) ) since last Sunday and took our laptop with him. Our other computer is so slow and takes me between 20 to 30 minutes to type a simple blog, let alone load pictures. So, therefore I have not blogged.

Anyway, Rob came in around 7:00 last night and Anna and I decided to go into the airport and surprise him. I had no idea that the escalators and moving sidewalks would entertain this child for so long. We might have to make a regular trip to the mall just so she can go up and down the escalators. It was hilarious to watch her.

All in all I am very glad to have Rob home. It has been a long, stressful week. Welcome home babe. I love you!

Happy Birthday Jason, Ellie and Grace

Who knew that four years ago something would happen that would change who I am forever. Four years ago I became a mom to three beautiful, perfect children. So perfect, in fact, that they were only allowed to stay with us on this earth for a short amount of time. I am very grateful for the knowledge that I have that I will be able to be with them again. That being said, I do miss them very much. When I went to buy balloons for the grave today the lady asked me who they were for. When I responded that they were for my triplets, she wanted to know how old they were. When I told her "four" she looked at Anna, my pregnant belly and said, "You sure have your hands full!". I just smiled, took my balloons, got in the car and cried. For the first time I realized that something so monumental in my life was just an ordinary day for everyone else. I guess I just expected everyone else to be affected by it as well. But the more I sit and think about it, no one else was touched the way that I was. I guess I should be grateful that Jason, Ellie and Grace allowed me to be their mother. They will forever be in my heart!

I have been sitting here for the last fifteen minutes, debating about hitting the publish post button. I have decided to go ahead and post it because this blog is turning into a journal of sorts for me. Thanks for bearing with me.

Calling all quilters

Help! I need moral support! I have been cutting out squares for the last three hours and I haven't even made a dent in the material. I am starting to wonder if it is all worth it. Sorry...Just needed to vent for a minute. Thanks for reading!

Ready for vacation

I think Anna is trying to hint to us that we need to go somewhere. She found this suitcase and started pulling it around the house. She then proceeded to pack it, with her essentials. We found a sippy cup half full of chocolate milk, a doll and, for some strange reason, one of Rob's belts. She was quite pleased with herself. I'm just glad we discovered the sippy before any real damage could occur!

On a different note, my dad had to speak in Stake Conference today. He did a wonderful job and it was fun to listen to some of his mission experiences. Great job Dad!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

My Grandma Colledge celebrated her 80th birthday party today. It is amazing to see how much this woman has accomplished. She raised eight children, four Indian placement children, forty-nine grandchildren and numerous great grand children. We all got together tonight, minus eight of her grandchildren, to have a Thanksgiving dinner. My cousin put together a video of pictures from all of our lives. It is amazing how much the memories came flooding in. All in all, I had a great time, remembering all of the fun times we have had. Thanks Grandma for everything. We love you!

Pregnancy Update

Things are going well with this pregnancy. We had another ultrasound this week and it is still a girl (there was a tiny bit of doubt in the back of my mind). The baby is currently measuring about eight to nine days early. Hopefully she will come that early and not just be a huge baby! I am feeling okay, other than it doesn't seem like there is anymore room in there for her to grow. We only have about eight or nine more weeks to go. Wahoo! I'm getting anxious to meet her!

I color!

Anna is huge into coloring right now. We have gone through so much of that "special" paper that you have to use for the wonder color markers. So we went and used her birthday money to buy the aqua doodle. She loves it! I love these pictures of her sprawled out just coloring her heart out. The rest of the night she just kept saying "I color". It's fun to listen to her become more and more vocal.

My First Crush

One of the quirky traits that I have about me is that I absolutely love Donny Osmond. My mother is to blame for this. When I was three, she gave me a poster of Donny and Marie in gold and blue sequined outfits. Years later when I was moving out we found the poster and she laminated for me. Then to top it all of, when Rob and I started dating, he put it in a gold frame for me. It is now hanging in our master bathroom. So, I admit I do have an obsession for good ole' Donny.

Today he was on "Oprah". I usually try to avoid her show at all costs, but knowing he was on, I just had to watch and record it. When he first came out and started singing, I started to cry. I have to blame it on pregnancy and not to the fact that I was actually swooning over him. I told Rob and he thought it was hilarious! It was also interesting to see that Anna also loves Donny. She would dance around whenever he was singing. It was great! I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
BTW...I finally started cutting out the squares for my quilt. Wow! It is going to take me forever!

The search is on

I never knew that looking for a big girl bed for Anna would be so difficult. I know exactly what I want, but can't seem to find it anywhere. We want to get her moved soon so she doesn't think that this new baby stole her bed. So if anyone has any idea of where to find a loft bed within a reasonable price, please let us know!

This time change is killing me!

Daylight savings usually doesn't bother me, but today it is just killing me! I guess it is because for the first time I have a child old enough for it to bother. Anna was just plain grouchy in church today. The good news is that she actually went to nursery for the whole time. The bad news...she cried for the last ten minutes straight. Loud enough for one whole half of the church building to hear her. It was awful! She was just so tired that she couldn't do it anymore.
The other thing that bothers me about the time change is how it is now dark at 5:30. Now when Rob goes to work, it's dark. When he gets home, it's dark. Where's the fun in that?
Alright, I'll stop my complaining now. Only six more months until we get to change back!

Pajama Party!

We had a pajama party tonight. After being gone this whole week we decided to spend time together as a family. When Rob came home from work, we all got in our pajamas, ate pizza and popcorn and watched "Meet the Robinsons". For those who haven't seen it I do recommend it. It is a cute show! Anyway, Anna had a ball spending time with her Dad and loved eating the popcorn even more.
