Rip Roarin' Good Time!

This past week has been Lehi City Round Up Rodeo Days. We have attended several parades and I even convinced Rob to go to the rodeo. He enjoyed it, just wished they would have play different music (we did hear a new country rendition of AC/DC "Shook Me All Night Long". Anyway, Anna loved every minute of it, especially the bands that played the fun music and of course, all of the candy that every single entry threw. It was fun, but I am glad that it only occurs once a year. We are tired!

Let the games begin!

I have decided that it is time for me to start potty training Anna. The only problem is that she has not given me any indication that she is ready. Many people tell me that I am crazy to try this, but I figure, what harm is done in trying! Hopefully when this next baby comes along I will only be changing diapers on one child.

Finding a "Friend" to babysit

Lately Anna has loved looking at all of her books, so I decided it was time to start a subscription to the "Friend". It came yesterday and she was so excited! She laid her favorite blanket out on the floor, laid down, picked up the magazine and began to read. She was quiet long enough for me to take a much needed nap. Had I known what a great babysitter it would be I would have subscribed a long time ago!

The Vacation is Over!

Well, we made it home. We had a blast...but we are tired! Our friend, Matt, is now Dr. Matt. His graduation was just as all graduations should be, short and to the point. Then came Disneyland. Disneyland is definitely more fun with children. Watching Anna's face during the rides and seeing all of the characters was priceless. It was like a whole new world had opened up to her. She loved the parade and blew kisses to all of the princesses. She loved to see the characters, as long as they were far away. Once she got closer, she would scream! We got some great pictures of her crying. I have, however, determined that Disneyland is not for the pregnant woman. I got sick on all of the kid rides and almost threw up in The Haunted Mansion. Who does that?! But we did learn an important lesson. All we need to buy to entertain our daughter is a bunch of ballooons and some bubbles! Too bad we didn't learn that before we went to Disneyland. We could have saved a lot of money!

We returned yesterday afternoon, only for Rob to turn around and head to the mountains with the scouts. I hope they don't freeze.
