Oh, The Weather Outside is Frightful?

I just read on the news that it is currently in the low 2os in Utah. I just have to brag that we are currently in the low 80s, with the air conditioner on. However, seeing as we are heading back to Utah next week, I thought I would prepare Anna for long sleeves, hence the pictures. She now wants to walk around with the socks on her arms and has started to get upset when I take them off. I guess it is a good sign that she is ready for the colder weather!

Around the Island in 1 1/2 hours

After church today we decided to tour the whole island. We figured we should see it before Krista and Anna head home in a week and a half. It didn't take too long. We figure once you see one part of the island you have seen it all. Attached are some of the pictures we took. The statues are a bunch of old trees that have been sculptured. They say it is a sacred area. Don't really know too much more.

Anna Ballerina

It looks as if we have a new dancer in town. Anna is constantly "dancing" around now. We went to Burger King tonight (I know...real "Bahamian") and she really wanted nothing to do with the food. She just wanted to dance. Can't wait to enroll her in dance classes...only two more years!

Thanksgiving in the Bahamas!

Who would have thought a year ago that we would be spending this Thanksgiving in the Bahamas...Not us! It certainly didn't feel like Thanksgiving...It was about 75 degrees. So we headed off to the beach where Rob went snorkeling and Anna and I searched for shells. Rob found some rock fish and Anna and I saved a star fish from dying. Afterwards we came home and fixed a small Thanksgiving dinner. It ended up being a fun filled day. We missed our family and friends, but we will be with them again next year!

Blogging

Okay...so our friends Ryan and Michelle have convinced us that we need to keep up on our blogging. It has about done me in! Yesterday I couldn't log onto this blog, so I created a new one and today I couldn't log onto the new one but I can log onto this one. What the heck! So, we will see what one we can use tomorrow.

Kids Say the Darndest Things

08/21/11 - During Sacrament Mtg I told Sara that she needed to be quiet. She looked at me and said, "That's impossible!"
08/11 - Sara held a lit flashlight up to my belly button... "Hello baby! Are you in there?"
07/11 - Sara "Mom, my belly button is beautiful!"
03/11 - Anna, while flying a kite..."Look Dad...It's flying and it doesn't even need pixie dust!"
11/10 The missionaries went around and asked everyone what they were thankful for. Anna said her family. Sara answers...Puppy Cartoons.
11/10 Rob and I were pretend fighting. I looked at Anna and said, "Why doesn't daddy like me anymore?" Her reply, "Probably because you have brown hair."
11/10 After cleaning and setting up Christmas all day I looked at Rob and asked him how bad I looked. Anna looked at me and said, "You look like a mom!"
06/10 Sara calls Tinkerbell "Belly Saucer". Don't have a clue why!
4/10 - Anna at 7:00 in the morning. "Aunt Kassi, we're not supposed to eat humans, it's not good. But dinosaurs can."
04/04/10 After looking at her stash from the Easter Bunny she grabbed her socks and said, "Look mom! The Easter Bunny laid some socks for me!".
03/10 Anna came running in and said, "Mom, big hairy dogs make me laugh!" As opposed to the small hairless ones?
02/10 We were playing baseball on the Wii. It was Anna's turn to pitch the ball. After waiting about two minutes, I told her to throw the ball. She looked at me and said, "But mom! You have to scratch yourself first!". Where did she hear that?
1/20/10 Anna, in a very disappointed voice, "Mom...I can't scratch my neck with my feet!"
2009 "Dad, your swords are hurting me!" Anna after Rob gave her a hug with a five o' clock shadow.
2009 "Mom! My feathers are getting longer!" Anna, while examining her arm hair.
11/12/09 "Mom at church when we sing I get to be a Rock Star!". What songs are they teaching in Primary these days?
11/09 Sara hasn't figured out the names of all of the animals and has made some up. She calls horses "yee haws" and pigs are "eieioh".
5/09 As we drove into Home Depot the other day, Anna started jumping up and down in her seat, exclaiming "We're at Home Depot...It's daddies favorite!"
03/09 - Sara has started giving kisses, especially to her baby dolls. She puts her mouth up to them and then clicks her tongue. I guess that is her version of a smack!
2/18/09 - The sun was setting as we were driving home from ballet and Anna exlaimed, "Look Mom...The sun is melting!".
Everytime Rob drives over the warning bumps on the road (to alert you that you are about to drive off the road) Anna says to Rob, "Excuse you Daddy!". She thinks she is so funny!
On the same St George trip she was watching one of the Pink Panther cartoons. In the cartoon he was playing with his tail a lot. All was silent when she suddenly said "Mom....Do you have a tail too?"
1/18/09 After we told Anna that we were going to St George she told everyone she met that we were going to Curious George.
12/08 When Anna was sick Rob and our neighbor were about to give her a blessing. She was a little apprehensive, so Rob explained that they were going to say a special prayer to help her feel better. After the blessing Anna jumped out of the chair, flung her arms around me and exclaimed "I'm all better now!". Oh, the faith of the children!
1/11/09 Anna started attending Primary. During Sharing time they were talking about choices and the example that the teacher used was sometimes you can chose between cereal or pancakes for breakfast. Anna raised her hand and announced "My mom likes to eat cupcakes for breakfast!".
