Playing "Grandma"

One of the best things I got to do all summer was go to Kentucky to help my sister in law with her new born twins.  They were adorable and I loved playing with them, but I loved the time spent with my older nieces and nephew.  When I visit with my kids, they run off together or I am more busy dealing with my own kids.  It was so fun just to be able to hang out with them.  Corry told me I was going to play grandma - rude - but kinda true!  I had the best time!

I am not sure if these girls were taking care of this dog or he was taking care of them!

New babies are the best!

He did not want his picture taken with me, or really even for me to touch him!

Playing in the Ohio River

We made butter beer…
It was gross

Finally it was time for me to head home.  It took a little while to get there since they rerouted me from Cincinnati.  So they put me in a cab and drove me to the other airport and I got home about 3 hours late.  I got home to roses from my family and this….

It was so fun to go, but so great to come home!

Random Day up the Canyon

One of my favorite summer night activities is to go up the canyon for a picnic.  Unfortunately we live very busy lives and there often isn't time to do it.  So one evening, although we should have been doing yard work, we didn't.  We got some chicken and headed up to Timblefork Reservoir.  I'm always so glad when we take the time to do these things.  Unfortunately, Fuzzy had issues with her feet and wasn't suppose to be walking around, so mostly she sat and watched.
The way the night went down was mostly like this - "Mom!  Look at me!  Take my picture!"

Missy taught everyone some crazy new game.  I don't even know what they were doing!

And a bridge is always fun to play on!

Trying to get a group shot was a little rough...

Ahh - I know these are the memories I will treasure most in my life!
