Flowers for My Dancers

For my ballerinas I taught this year, I decided to make them these cute little flower clips.  It went super fast, didn't cost very much (since you use such a little piece of ribbon), but I think they turned out cute.  It was fun to see all the girls that showed up to class wearing them the last day!

I got the tutorial here.  I did burn myself a bunch of times though!!!

Piano Recital

My kids did a great job in their piano recitals!  I love listening to them play and seeing the major improvement that they all make!  It is amazing!

Fun with the Tucker Cousins

We had been trying to get together with the Tucker cousins for over a month, so we decided that after school got out it would be the first thing we did!  One thing the girls had been talking about for over a year was going to the temple together.  My girls had never been to the Manti temple, and it was Kamree's first time going to the temple at all.  Since Kam hadn't been, I offered to keep baby Mila with me so Amie could be with her.  First we had to get a picture of Scotty and Alli at the temple.  In primary they are seeing how many temple the kids can go visit this summer.  They are going to have fun with us as we go on our East coast trip!!!

Scotty and Alli had so much fun with Mila in the visitor's center.  Usually the older girls hog the baby attention, and these too are distracted by toys and other cousins, so they really loved having a chance to hold her and feed her.  I love that my kids all love babies!!!

We decided to watch the Mountain of the Lord DVD about the building of the Salt Lake Temple.  It was so good!  We chose that one because my grandma is in it, but we never did find her!

After the girls were done in the temple, we headed to their house to play with cousins

Then it was off to the pool.  I got a new waterproof camera.  The kids had a great time taking underwater pictures with it!

I love cousins!  I didn't grow up having or playing with very many cousins, but I remember that when I did it was great!  I loved them! I am so glad my kids have so many cousins and that they love to play with them as much as I did, even though they see them a lot more!

Hike to the Waterfall 2012

We did our annual hike to the waterfall and with our very dry year, it still was pretty beautiful!  My kids were amazing hikers this year. We went from our front door, drove to the base of the canyon, and were up to the waterfall in about 20 minutes!  It gave us plenty of time to play at the waterfall before we had to head home.  I forgot my camera, so it was phone pictures on this trip!

Missy, rock climbing, in bare feet, on wet rock.  Not the smartest thing, but she loved it!

I didn't get pictures of it, but just before you come out of the canyon there is this great rock climbing cliff.  So the kids decided to climb it.  Missy and Scotty got to the top and walked around, Fuzzy and Alli got to a ledge they were comfortable with.  Me, I stayed on the ground.  Someone had to drive to the hospital if the kids fell!   Not usually my personality to not go with them, but sometimes that mother instinct kicks in before my adventure instinct!

Miss and Fuzz's end of the Year Party

After school got out the last day (which nobody went to - since my girls didn't want to go I had them help me teach my dance classes instead) Missy and Fuzzy's friends came over to play in the water too.

The best thing we did this year was put up the volleyball net.  Fuzzy and her friends started there

Then moved to the trampoline

Then finished off in the front yard

Meanwhile, Missy's friends took over the volleyball game for the next 4 HOURS!!!!

Love these good friends my kids have!  As soon as it was over - OK 2 hours after we said it would be over - it was time to send everyone on their way and move on to the next thing again.  I never said my life was boring!!!

Scotty and Alli's End of School Party

We ended up doing Scotty and Alli's end of the school year party on the dance festival day.  It was great because it was so warm that day and the kids were all hot.  We asked all the kids to bring a treat or snack to share and the popsicles went really fast!

We were lucky enough to have Julane come over to party with us too!

My sunburn from Memorial day - OWWWW!

You can't see Fuzzy's burn, but she was the worst!  Missy's is pretty funny too!

Another perk of doing the party was so that Scotty could pass of a scouting achievement.  He had to create an obstacle course and have people try it out.  He had a lot of fun putting it together and the kids had a fun time trying it out.

There was crawling under the chairs (REALLY hard for me to do!!!)

jumping over the chairs

Crab walking under the tramp as well as riding scooters, leaping over noodles, and jumping in and out of tires.

The whole gang.  We had a lot of fun and of course being us, it was have a party, send everyone home and run to the next thing!
