Week 7 Challenge
Ok sisters, only 2 more weeks to go! This weeks challenge is going to be very hard. Did you know that in some countries it is not proper to carry your big old soda out of the restaurant you just ate at (most likely some fast food joint). What if for the week you eat your meal and then step away empty handed until the next meal (no need to keep snacking here and there as you run errands or wander the house)? That means designate your time for eating and eat then only. If you go out for lunch, don't refill your soda and bring it with you. Try not to munch all day long....set your eating schedule and follow it. Let us know how it goes.

Week 3 Challenge

Week 2 Challenge
So we survived week one. How did you sisters do? How has your support person/group been? Does it help you to have someone to turn to when you get tempted?
Well, for Week 2 Challenge I want you to think of something that has really stuck out to you during the first week of weight loss....an "Ah, ha!"moment is what we will call it. For example, my "Ah, ha" moment(s) this past week has been, #1 I need to think before I put food in my mouth. The first 3 days I would put food in my mouth and realize it was later than I would have liked it to've been (I like to go to bed early, so waiting 2 hours for bedtime can be tough). The latest I can eat seems to be about 6, maybe 7 pm, just in case I want to go to bed at 8 (a girl can dream). #2 "ah-ha" moment is that I need to think before I put food in my mouth. There were many times I caught myself eating and not even realizing it. I was eating triscuits one day and after a number of them I realized, "I'm trying to lose weight! Why am I eating these????" I have since turned to vegies as my snack...crunch..crunch.

Week 1 Challenge
So far gals, we are figuring things out!
I am a day early for this, but your challenge for week 1 is to find a support person/group for life (ok, maybe not for life, but for the next 8 weeks at least). It may be your spouse (although sometimes, they like to lead you astray to those tasty temptations ;) Just find a person or a group who you can turn to when things get tough for you. Someone who will be able to talk you out of eating that delicious donut or fabulous fries and help remind you what your ultimate goal is (maybe setting a realistic goal will be good too). Talk to this person/group and work out a plan. THEN comment on this post and tell us who your support is and what your plan is. I think this will help us all successfully get through these next 8 weeks.
After you have done this, you will have earned your 10 challenge points!

Learning to blog
Did you ever think you would have to learn to blog in order to lose weight? I figured this would be the best way to be held accountable without having weekly group meetings. Each person will have to post their point total for each week by Saturday at 11:59 pm otherwise you will lose your group meeting points. This week I want everyone to write a comment to this post to let me know you can successfully do it, and it will have to be written by the deadline of Saturday, 11:59pm. Make sure you sign your name at the end of your comment so we all know who has written it.
We will officially begin keeping track of our numbers on Sunday (Feb. 6th), but I want you all to weigh yourself on Saturday (Feb. 5th). Our numbers will be added up from Sunday through Saturday, so your next weigh-in will be Saturday again. You can choose the time of day for your weigh-in, just be consistent. You don't need to tell us how much you weigh! And for those who don't need to lose pounds, just substitute that with eliminating an unhealthy habit you have!
I am excited to get this going again...let's get in shape and be healthy!
