Parting shots of my trusty Rebel

The only moments when Rebel stalled on me.. was when i ran it dry of petrol & another time when i was away for a few mths that e batteries were drained.
haha.. now that i have to confess.

The best rides are along the very foliaged curves of old upper thomson road.

Many other moments, Rebel zipped me to just where i needed to go, easily weaved through jams, rolled up pavements for convenient parking!

And all e while only sipping low octane petrol. Even the bike shop mechanic had only praises for Rebel.. japan made, reliable n low maintenance. And a Looker! (in my eyes at least :)

Now, with Yaris coming along, i have decided to pass Rebel to another, whom hopefully would have as much fun & good use of this wonderful bike.

A few lines on Sufism, .. think mystic, islam, enlightened whirling poets..

Sufis as Rough Wool of Integrity

The Sufis, named after their rough woolly garments, are renowned for their love of this inner light and for an inner freedom which stops at nothing to experience the divine in love.

~ To be a Sufi is to detach from fixed ideasand from preconceptions;
and not to try to avoid what is your lot.Abu-Said, son of Abi-Khair (Shah 1968 ) ~

~ His activity, like that of an artist, is reduced to that of illustration. (Chisti Order Shah 135) ~

~ People think that a Sheikh should show miracles and manifest illumination. The requirement in a teacher, however, is only that he should possess all that the disciple needs. - Ibn El-Arabi (Shah 87). ~

There's a trove of gems in Sufi-sm, a website which simply & beautifully presents:

Complexities r but made of simple bloks

In e last 24hrs, i came across this Twice, a recurrence worth noting :)

In a local tv special (documentary), Jimmyjuggler said that e most complex patterns are mastered by breaking them into small simple moves.

Today, in e Daily enlightenment:

that can't be divided into little, easy tasks.- Buddhist Saying

Macritchie Kayaking

Its a novelty paddling in our drinking supplies, slicing though deep green waters.

We had quite a splashing good time today. (we= R&S, Sophia, Stanley).

Most fun part was kayaking & 'hovering'/taking shade under extended trees & foliage, and also checking out the bunches of pitcher plant by the water.

Note:
Paddle Lodge offers Open top kayaks for rent, daily except Mondays. It is a good place for families to chill out & try out a kayak.
For the slightly more experienced kayak person, the allowed area is way too small for exploration /moves.
