Today there just seems to be an unusually big dose of attention on my motorbike.. only in e morning!
i suppose it must have been raining a lot, so when it is sunny ppl get a chance to googah ! ;)
Or perhaps it was e work clothes, a contrast to e biker image.
Within 15min into e trip, by parking lot, at petrol kiosk, at atm - 3ppl making conversations!
And then about 3-4 separate incidents of raising eyebrows, turning head and waving! Oh thats almost e same count of intensity as someone bringing a golden retriever for a walk!
At the postoffice, it was really quite funny. After some transactions, i came out and e bike was lying on its side! I went to inspect and an elderly lady immediately said it was e 'old ah pek' in e
red car that backed into my bike. The old man hesitated in his car and then came out, but a younger dude beat him to help me lift e bike up. Hehe.. and this old man(e ah pek), insisted quite loudly that it was not him who caused e bike to fall. He sounded so sincerely true, i believed. "Its fine, ok ok, no problem at all". And when just as he turned to get back to his
red car, e other dude gestured,.. like ... its Him! i just nodded. And i knew!
It was just funny, cos i really didnt mind much about the incident. He really didnt have to lie, in fact, i was a little sheepish about not parking the bike in a more untouchable corner! Plus the tip over caused a patch of oil spill. And e most hilarious of all, i got to see e perfect denial, and would almost believe it all over again.. interesting! The skies were blue and e world was funny.
Only hassle was having to adjust the wing mirrors and make a detour home to top up the engine oil.
Hmm... now, if this had been a brand new harley, would it have been so funny..? ;) what's e difference.. if something happens to my future brand new harley, i'll just have to replay this memory to get a good laugh. It doesnt matter so much, whether a posh sleek thing or e oldest honda kap!
