Current city: Salzburg

Hello!
If you're wondering where am I now..
I'm in Austria (Salzburg)!

Been really busy travelling around!
And of cuz, rushing out my assignment before Christmas eve.
But it has been fun yup!

Let me just give a quick summary of Kiruna and Munich!

In KIRUNA, I stayed in an awesome cabin!

- Rided on the snow mobile that was freaking fun!

- And experienced dog sledding! (but realise that nth beats the snow mobile)

- Caught a slight glimpse of northern lights with my camera. (note, it's with my camera, i din see it*sigh* )

- Tried reindeer meat (lovely treat from our guide) and fell in love with it!

-Visited the ice bar and had some drinks there! (I still prefer mine! the yellow one)

- And look at how cold it was! (This was measured from our cabin with the temp outside being -22.7 and inside being 16.4 degree celcius!)

Next was Munich, which is actually pronounced as Munchen.
A city name after monks who brew the beers.

- There were many christmas markets and we almost got sick of it! (but now that it's gone...we're kinda sad *sigh* )

- Strawberries Banana coated with chocolate became my favourite food in Christmas markets

- Tried the wheat beer and white sausage! (And learn that you have to remove the skin of the sausage before you eat them). Btw..I dont like wheat beer!

- Visited the fairytale castle, which the sleeping beautiful castle was modeled after. It was really pretty from the outside..but no big deal inside. Waste of money to go for the tour inside!

- And of cuz, visit the most popular beer hall in munich! Not as crowded bcuz it's not october =(

Have yet to transfer my vienna photos yet so I guess I shall blog abt it next time! (Together with my Salzburg trip!)

Holiday is coming to an end soon..
I'm excited to head home after being out for so long...
But I'm sad that it's ending too...

Random thoughts

It's 2.31am in the morning!
I just came back from Berlin 22 hours ago..
And I'm heading to Kiruna in 3 hours time.

Wanna sleep! But there's still so many things to do..
My 5-10 pages of essay, my unedited photos and I have yet update my blog!
Guess...I shall sleep on the train and plane instead ba!

This Berlin trip was pretty fun yup.
We visited the concentration camp, joined a free tour that brought us to several historical landmarks, shopped around at the Christmas markets and ate lots of food like curry bratwurst, pork knuckles and kebab. I really like Berlin a lot. It has so been through so much. WW1, WW2, and the cold war. And the Berlin now, is only 21 years old only. This is really a very interesting city yup =)

There were some events that left me pondering over the past few days too...

A friend who was supposed to go with us to Berlin backed out at the eleventh hour. Yeah, he told Jasmine that he was feeling kinda tired and poor...and many other reasons. So at 5am in the morning, he decided that he din want to go to Berlin with us.

Yes, different people do have different priorities. But unless there's a REALLY GOOD reason, I really don't see why anybody should just back out at such a last minute notice. And clearly, I don't see how being tired or poor is good enough to be a reason. This is seriously very irresponsible. I admit that I do not have a good impression of him during this whole exchange due to several reasons. But personal grudges aside, who is able to not get angry when somebody do this to you?

Have you ever felt unappreciated? I don't know..but that's how I felt over the past few days..
Like..you're trying your best to be doing something..but people just doubt you, or cant be bothered with you?
Sometimes it's just quite hurting ba... I mean..it may just be a casual remark..
but i'm quite sensitive. And i tend to take it seriously too.
And the thing so...sometimes I dont even know if you mean it or dont...

It's amazing how much ppl's body languages tells you about what they are thinking or feeling. And it's scary how sensitive I am to these body languages. So...I would like to apologise if I have made you irritated. Because it was never my intention to do it. And I do cherish you as a friend.

Heading for Kiruna soon! I hope that this trip would be a good one! And we'll be able to catch the northern lights! =)

It's 3.39am in the morning!
And I'm not asleep yet! Laughs..
Maybe my heart is telling me not to wake up early for school tomorrow!

Did lotsa things today wor..
Finished my portion of essay, planned itineraries for Switzerland, Berlin and Munich trip! And I've started summarising one of my readings! So proud of myself that I rewarded myself with a couple of episodes of Off Pedder. Yes, I'm still watching it! To be exact, rewatching it! hahas..

And I did something unbelievable just now. I went to download card captor sakura and watched the first episode! Laughs. Kinda dumb i know! I watched it when I was in my secondary school! But it's really nice..and I guess.. good shows are worth watching twice? Hahas

I'm growing oldddd! It's good to feel young when watching these shows =)

If there's 10 things I want to remember from Spain..

1) Toning night isnt fun at all!
We had to ton 2 nights in total. One during our transit from London to Madrid, another from Barcelona back to Goteborg. It certainly isnt fun and it's so uncomfortable to sleep on the seats at the airport! Well.. something new i guess. But definitely dont wanna try it again!

2) Hostel accomodation has never felt so good before!
My accomodation in Madrid was fabulous! Okie, our bed's got messed up by us! But look at the size of the bed!!! And the size of the room! it's awesome to have a 2-bed room to ourselves at a really cheap price! ^^

Accomodation in Barcelona was not too bad either! It was at Hotel BCN, a hostel for backpackers and it's quite good! There's a common room where you can meet other travellers, your own locker to lock your thing, which could only opened by the electronic watch-like device that they gave to us and there were hot guys too! Hahas..din took any photos of it thou =x

3) Chionging the main attractions in one day in Madrid is possible!
Of cuz, it has to be well-planned and executed out by dear Jasmine and Me =) We were so proud of ourselves after that whole day of chiong-ing! And of course, our legs were dying!

We visited beautiful Cathedral

The grand Royal Palace (Palacio Real)

The Debod Temple

Puerta Del Sol and the Bear with the strawberry tree there! And my camera really sux at taking night photos =(

4) There's lotsa pickpockets!
We had 3 encounters with the pickpockets in Spain!

Once in Madrid, which Jasmine's bag was open but fortunately there wasnt valuable inside.

Twice in Barcelona! The first attempt was just our first hour in Barcelona only! Somebody tried to steal Rowena's wallet in the subway. It was done really very fast and Rowena only realised after the person took out her wallet. Luckily, her wallet was tied to her bag! So it ended up pretty funny with the person returning the wallet to her and scrambling away.

The second time was when we were heading out to La Rambla from the metro. A middle aged woman suddenly walked behind Corinne and got very close to her, trying to unzip her handbag. I was watching from the back and tried to pushed her away when I realised it! It was pretty scary cuz she held on to me after I pushed her. =x (Angry that I spoilt her chance i guess). I just apologised and headed up to find them..and realised that Corinne's bag was half unzipped already! Kinda scary to think about it but I'm so glad we survived Barcelona SAFELY without any money lost! =)

5) Barcelona beach is an awesome place!
For chilling and admiring at nice sand sculptures!
Oh! And we saw a nude guy walking on the beach! Which Corinne ran after to talk a photo of him! Laughs

The sea looks so inviting to swim in!

6) Fine Dining has never been so "fine" before!
But I enjoyed eating the Acorn Iberian Pork! (I think that's the name for it?)

7) Gaudi is Barcelona's "God architect"!
You see his design everywhere! But unfortunately for him, he has quite a tragic life, with friends and close ones dying one after another, leaving him alone. He's best well known for his gothic architecture! And multicolored mosaic designs.

Casa Batlló

Casa Milà

Sagrada Família

Park Güell

8) Sagrada Familia is an awesome piece of work!
Gaudi had produced many beautiful architect but my favorite is Sagrada Familia! It's surprising how this piece of work has taken more than a hundred years to build and is still under construction. (From 1882 till now) And it is estimated to only be completed in 2026. Hope that I'll be back when it's ready =)

I love these beautifully painted stained glass and the impressive sculptures! It's interesting how he instills meanings into his sculptures.

9) La Rambla Street is a really interesting place!
There are lots of performers waiting to take photos with you! But of cuz, you have to donate before u can take photos with them! (And they are pretty strict on this)

10) All the spanish dishes that we ate in Spain wasnt as satisfying as the chinese buffet we had!

The Paella, which i've forgotten take the photo of the real dish..

This spanish octopus with sauce dish...

Cant win the AWESOME CHINESE BUFFET!

Whew... I've finally managed to finish this long post! It's fun to look at the photos and recall all the little things that I've did in Spain. Spain is indeed a nice place to go, though I dont like the pickpockets. But I'll go again i guess! To accomplish what I didn't during this trip.

It's snowing!

It's 11.34pm at night already!
And I have not even started my portion for my group project! =x

Life have been pretty good for me recently..
Having yummy dinner and HTHT with friends every now and then.

This was what we have a couple of days ago!

Roast beef and garden vege by Nath, Home Cooked french fries by Jere and Wongbo and lovely brocoli and mushrooms by Rowena, Jurena and I ^^

We even had Apple + Plum crumble for dessert!

Dinner was even better tonight!
We had Mee siam by me, Conflakes chicken by Rowena and Vegetables by Jurena! All for Nath who is leaving for London. Such a lucky guy to have 3 hot babes cooking dinner for him right! hahas.

Mee Siam and Conflakes chicken done! Just waiting for vege =D

We ate till damn full! And even finished up the leftover crumble from the previous dinner. But I donno why.. I'm still nibbling my conflakes in my room! Sigh..there must be a worm in my stomach man.

Anyway..it's currently snowing in Goteborg now! Saw it after dinner and got so excited that we wore our down jacket and chiong out to play with the snow la.. Hahas..

It's so cool, the snow ball wont melt! hahas.. And we got crazy throwing snowballs at each other after that! (the ang mohs thot that we were crazy and took photos of us from their window too!)

Our masterpiece in this winter!

And our failed attempt at making a snowman. Hahas

I love snow! They glitter ^^
