Mechatronics....it has been interesting so far I must say.
It is a field that attracts those with brains definitely. My classmates are amazing! The speed they work at and their absorption power...is like wow.
It's very different atmosphere than when I was in Mechanical. Right now, I'm the one asking people questions rather than people asking me. haha. I like the change!
Hmmm...how should I describe it? It is very challenging. And I am barely keeping my head above the water. But when the lecturers give lectures, I'm always amazed with the concepts and ideas behind programming and coding that people have came out with.
I attended the thesis conference last week in preparation for mine next year. After watching my tutors and seniors present, I so very HOPE that I would be able to present with such confidence and laid-backness attitude that they have.

INTERNSHIP!!!
Yes people! I found internship in Australia! Woo hoo!
So it will run from 15 Nov to 18 Feb. Haih...right after my exam period! And I'll miss CNY too...
Haha. It better be worth it! :) So most probably I'll be back in Malaysia from 18 Dec to 3 Jan. That is my Christmas + New Year break. Not sure at this point of time whether my supervisor would allow me to lengthen my holiday period.
But it is definitely good news :)

HOME...
really, facebook does things to people.
my friend posted up this video. it was a mistake to watch it.
it was all the surprise visits back home by the army men.
the children running to their dads.
wives hugging their husbands.
those scenes would touch any soul...
i just miss home :)

REVIVAL MISSION!
hey hey! yes! i'm on a mission to revive my blog :) hopefully it works this time! haha
it's funny how i always feel like reviving my blog during the busiest time of the year. for example now, i have, what i feel, a gazillion assignments due on week 7. but here i am blogging about it.
anyway, this year i took some pretty interesting general educations, in short gen ed.
one is about getting into business. so my lecturer would go on and on about business terms. but never the less, the cases which he tells us about are really really interesting, and it also shows how greedy some people are, that they exploit the law.
the other one is about murderers and medical detectives. it's basically about crime and its history and also the whys. this is when i feel the most energized. during my tutorial this week, students presented about capital punishment. they had a hypothetical situation.
so, one day, your mom was found bruise, battered, naked, and raped in a park at 5 am. the criminal was caught. would you want the criminal to get capital punishment? the class went buzzing with discussions! then they changed the situation. the woman is no longer our mother. the criminal, the man, is our dad.
now, how would you feel? basically, it was to bring out the subjectivity about capital punishment. boy, was it effective!

CAN'T WAIT
about two weeks more to go! before fio teo and sue touchdown in sydney! i'm soooooooooooooooooooooo excited! hahaha.
though in the midst of exams now, i keep on thinking about the 28th of June; i shall be waiting in the airport for the arrival of Mr.Ian, Ms. Fiona Teo, and Ms. Sue Anne! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! can't wait!
yes, exams...haih. this semester has been the toughest yet. i even had a friend who said that he felt as if he had graduated from unsw when he handed in his last assignment of this semester. hahaha. funny fella.
i've learnt so much this time around. most importantly, no matter how bleak the situation you might be in, you must hang in there and have faith. NEVER stop trying.
again, i can't wait for all this to be over, to finally breath a sigh of relief, because to me, it felt like the end of the world (might be a tiny bit exaggerated!) haha :)

SHEAR JOY
haha (^_^)
i was having a very bad week. what else is new, huh?
anyways, i had an hour break today and just felt like strolling in uni.
guess what, i saw a bunch of people who are obviously in their first year doing a subject called ENGG1000. cos it has funny projects every year
when it was my first year. we had to built and automated miature car like object that makes a turn and and elevate a subject up about i think 700mm? can't remember the exact details
so, this bunch of students had to built a solar power device that automatically climb a rope.
i was standing there waiting for the group to set theirs up. and voila!
the joy on their faces. even i was smiling too (^_^)
the satisfaction when a project is successful is just indescribable!
i think this sorta moral boost dissapears as i advance further in my engineering degree.
