i'm here for a quick update.
as you can see, i've not been updating here lately.
like i said, it's a good sign cos it meant that i've lesser problems
to complain or grumble about, which is good! :)
i'm enjoying life, except the fact that i'm missing a few friends.
you know who you are, hopefully we'll meet up soon!
it's Lunar New Year again. not much preparation done.
don't really feel the CNY mood at all.
well, it's the same every year.

still, wanna take this chance to send CNY wishes to my friends.
Happy Lunar New Year to all my Chinese friends!
Happy Holidays to the rest! :)

it's been so so long, i know.
my blog is being abandoned, i know.
i've lost the inspiration and motivation to blog, i know.
maybe this blog is becoming redundant. why oh why?
is it just me? that i don't know how to express my thoughts?
or is it just my life? which appears to be mundane and dull?
come to think of it, i guess i have this tendency to express
my thoughts in the blog, when i'm feeling down or depressed.
yea, it appears to be that way most of the time.
if that's the case, this is something i should be happy about!
less blog entries from me means less problems or sadness.
that's right! i'm enjoying my life! be it work, interest, etc.
who says being single and not attached in any relationship
means that life's going to be lonely and empty?
okay, sometimes you do feel the emptiness.
but do something you love to keep yourself occupied!
that's what i'm doing right now. in fact, i love it the way it is now.
no relationship commitments equals to more freedom!
that aside, i'm still getting used to my new job, but the people are nice.
in about a month's time or so, it's going to be more hectic for me.
that's when soccer and dikir barat starts.
ouh, i've been having body aches for the past week!
the reason? 3 bowling sessions in less than 2 weeks with my colleagues.
woo hoo! i like! this is in preparation for the logistics department
tournament in february. hahaha. like real only!

2008 has been a year full of ups and downs for me.
more downs than ups, i guess. but i'm not going to dwell over it anymore.
hope 2009 will be a better year for me and everyone else.
nope, not going to make any resolutions or whatsoever.
hope 2009 will be a good year for everyone around me,
with love, good health and happiness.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 to all my Friends, Family and Loved Ones!

hmmm. nothing much happening lately.
sunday was the big game at national stadium.
yes, it left me in tears at the end of the game.
my beloved Singapore Lions might be out of the AFF Suzuki Cup,
i still salute them for the good performance during the second
leg of the semi-final, as well as throughout the whole tournament.
they have played very well and i can see their hard work and effort.
maybe they just lack that little luck to bring them to the finals.
yes, it's very heartbreaking to see that. i was really sad.
but well, every team has its own ups and downs.
we've won this tournament 3 times, it's already a good achievement.
Singapore Lions, you guys have already done us proud!

this season's soccer journey has been pretty exciting.
it marks beautiful end to the season of 2008.
can't wait for the new season in 2009.
for now, life's going to be more mundane without soccer.
i guess i'll just take this time out to focus on my work.
still trying to adapt with my new working life.
so far so good. the people there are really nice.
not forgetting, cute police officers to ogle at work. heh!

here's wishing Merry X'mas to my friends who celebrate Christmas.
Merry X'mas! :)

the day/date is nearing.
i know it doesn't concern me a single bit.
but somehow i felt affected in one way or another.
honestly, the feeling for him has long already been gone.
everything remained as past. history, you may call it.
yet, i don't know why this has been bothering
me lately, it keeps me thinking every now and then.
the day is really coming. soon, very soon.
i even teared a little as i'm writing this.
yes, it sounds dumb, i know :(
i don't understand why i 'm feeling a tinge
of sadness as the day is really nearing.
but that's the hard truth and i've got to accept it.
still, i hope both of them will be blessed with happiness.

AFF SUZUKI CUP 2008

Singapore are going to the Semi Finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup!
The Lions beat Cambodia 5-0, Myanmar 3-1 and Indonesia 2-0
for their group-stage matches and finished on top of the group, clinching
all the 9 points. Indonesia finished second in the group.
In the other group, Thailand is leading ahead of Vietnam who's second.
Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam will be fighting it
out in the Semi Finals: Singapore VS Vietnam. Thailand VS Indonesia.

Singapore will be playing their first leg of the Semi Final match
against Vietnam on the 17th December in Vietnam.
Singapore will then play the second leg of the Semi Final match
against Vietnam on the 21st December in Singapore.

no matter win or lose, I'm already proud with the Lions
for coming this far to fight all the way to the Semi Final
for the third consecutive times in this tournament.
so far, I've watched all the Singapore's matches in the group-stage,
and I'm really impressed by their performance.
everyone will be putting high hopes on the Lions to win this title,
but I think we shouldn't place too much pressure on them.
to me, as long as the Lions have performed to their best efforts,
i'm already pleased, despite whatever the outcomes may be at the
end of this tournament. all best to my beloved Singapore Lions!
my heart is with you, Singapore!

below are the highlights of Singapore's group stage matches

against Cambodia, Myanmar and Indonesia respectively.
all matches are played in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Singapore 5 Cambodia 0 (Singapore in red jersey)

Singapore 3 Myanmar 1 (Singapore in red jersey)

Singapore 2 Indonesia 0 (Singapore in blue jersey)

i'm here to share a little secret. hehehe. guess what?
most of you wouldn't know about this.
i was crazy and in love with a1 during my secondary school days.
you know, the boybands era. hehehe.
out of so many boybands, a1 was my favourite.
a1 was not just like any typical boyband, they can sing,
they can dance, they can play musical instruments and even compose
their own songs. the reasons why i fell in love with them last time!
i remember buying and collecting their albums, photos and posters
during those good old days when i was a big fan of a1. heh!
don't know what came into me today that i randomly
went to youtube to browse through a1's music videos.
then i eventually came across Ben Adam's music videos!
he was my favourite member in a1, back then.
ever since a1 disbanded, Ben has went on with his own solo career.
i haven't heard about him ever since.
and when i watched his solo music videos today,
i realised how much i've missed!
a different hairstyle, but he still has that mesmerizing voice!
and he's really grown from a boy to man. boy, he looks hot!
hmmm. just wondering what's he up to currently.
cos it's been so long since i was updated about him.
ouhhh, how much i missed my "first love", Ben Adams,
since those secondary school days. heh!

"I Don't Wanna Stay" by Ben Adams

" I Don't Wanna Stay" by Ben Adams

"Won't Do You Wrong" by Ben Adams

"When I'm Missing You" by a1.
(One of my favourite songs from a1's last album)

those who know me well enough would have
know that i hardly watch the tv. yes, almost never!
yes, i can barely count the number of hours i actually
spent watching tv. say, only less than 4 hours every week?
yes, it's that exaggerating! hahaha.
that explains why i'm not updated about the latest
drama serials or tv programmes shown on tv.
but yesterday, after so m
any days of not watching tv,
i sat down and glue myself to the tv for one hour!
i'm referring to Singapore's edition of "Don't forget the lyrics".
one of the main reasons i actually took one hour of my time
to sit down in front of the tv is because of TAUFIK BATISAH!
it's been 4 years since i first fell in love with him. chey chey!
and i'm still very much mesmerized by his voice and that cute look!
yes, he's my all-time celebrity crush besides Chris Brown, Channing

Tatum, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Usher, etc.
of cos, my heart still goes out to the Singaporean, Taufik! :))))

yesterday i attended the S.League Awards Night
at Orchard Hotel with the Young Lions Fan Club Committee.
food were okay, i didn't eat much. just don't have the appetite.
lots of eye-candies though! hehehe. gatal nye, Liyi!
i'm referring to the players from all over the different clubs.
maybe that's why i don't feel hungry or have any appetite at all. haa!
i can't help but keep looking across the next table throughout
the whole ceremony which lasted for 3 hours or so.
yes, the Young Lions players were seated in two tables, just beside our table.
no.7, no.25 and no.28. my new-found YL eye-candies!
those who know who i'm talking about, shhhh! heh heh.
anyway, they are just eye-candy to ogle at. biasa lah, cuci mata je.
ehem ehem! for me to know, for you to find out!

anyway, i was quite disappointed about the results of the S.League Awards Night.
yet again, that same old fanclub won the Best Fan Club of the Year award.
okay, a freaking 6 times they've won that,
since the award has been given
out 12 years ago. too good? they're the deserving winner? bullshit.

tell you what, perhaps from next year onwards, there shouldn't be any nominees
for this Fan Club award. what's the point of having nominees?
just present that award to the same old fanclub. don't need to have any nominees.
makes job easier, isn't it? since it's going to be the same winner all the time.
honestly, i don't mind Young Lions Fan Club not winning the award.
but it's just upsetting to see the same club winning it again and again.
not being a sour grape, but i'd be happier to see the other 2 nominees
winning the Fan Club of the Year Award. i think everyone else would feel the same too.
i'm sick and tired of seeing the same old winners. i want to see new faces!
and did everyone notice the sudden silence (except cheers from the winning fanclub)
when they were announced the winner for the fanclub award? ouh, that's sad.
seriously, what are the criteria of winning the fanclub award?
come on, tell me about it.
if what i've heard, are the so-called criteria or requirements.
then i have a huge doubt on that! honestly.
still, congrats to all the recipients of the respective awards presented
at the S.League Awards Night! congrats to all the winners, except you-know-who.

suddenly i feel sad when i remember that tomorrow will be the last
Young Lions game for the year 2008. sighhhh. it's hard to say goodbye.
hahaha. ignore me, just feeling abit emotional here and there.
tomorrow will be the last time to see my beloved Young Lions family,
the players, as well as the fanclub members. sighhhhh.
we'll only meet again in 2009. even so, some of the Young Lions
players will be leaving soon (due to age limit) to join other clubs next season.
i will miss each and everyone of you in this Young Lions big family,
the Young Lions Players and Young Lions Fan Club.
till we meet again in 2009. goodbye 2008!

there are RED, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE...

why must it always be BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, BLUE ?!?!?!
there are LIONS, EAGLES, DRAGONS, STAGS, TIGERS ....
why must it always be RHINO, RHINO, RHINO, RHINO ?!?!?!

Young Lions Family 2008
Till we meet again in 2009!

and so Young Lions managed to pull a win against Da Lian,
to mark a sweet end for Young Lions' journey in the S.League 2008.
i'm going to miss the Young Lions Family 2008, be it the Fan Club,
and the Players. Young Lions Memories of 2008 will be remembered!
looking forward to the next S.League season in 2009.
will we be expecting to see new faces coming in next season?
but it'd be sad to see a few familiar faces leaving Young Lions,
as this could be the last season in Young Lions for some
of the players, due to their age (over 23 years old).

Young Lions help to groom many young talents throughout

the stay with the team. once this young players reach the age of 23,
they'd then be released to join other clubs in the S.League.
look, most of the young talents injected into the S.League
clubs were majority from Young Lions, who have groomed them.
and i think this has been beneficial for the other S.League clubs.
Khairul Amri & Hassan Sunny (Tampines Rovers), Shahril Ishak
& Lionel Lewis (Home United), Baihakki Khaizan & Fazrul Nawaz
(Geylang United), these are some of the many players who were
being groomed by
Young Lions before joining the other S.League clubs.
see what i mean here?

i was rooting for Home United or Korea Super Reds to
carry the S.League Trophy this season.
nope, don't get me wrong, i'm not a fan of either team.
my heart is only for the Young Lions, always!
but i was just hoping for any clubs, except Singapore Armed Forces,
to win the S.League title! but my hopes were dashed. hah!
SAF were crowned the champion, even with one game in hand left.
i won't deny they have a few good individual players in the team.
i won't deny that they have been playing well this season.
but let me admit that i'm just sick and tired of seeing the same team
winning
the title every season. come on, it's BORING to see that same old faces.
certainly not being a sour grape here, cos i've never expect my beloved
Young Lions to be a title contender. but i still love them the way they are.
but well, it's just that every year's champions happens to be the same old
team. it's getting way too predictable, isn't it?

on a brighter note, Young Lions Fan Club are once again nominated for
the Fan Club of the Year award for this year's S.League Awards Night.
the other nominees for the Fan Club of the Year award are
Tampines Rovers, Home United and Singapore Armed Forces.
i'm not putting high hopes on us getting that award.
but hopefully it won't be the same old club getting the award.
cos seriously, there's no significance in presenting this award
if every year we see the same club getting the award.
here i'll wish my Young Lions Family all the best.
same goes for Tampines Rovers Fan Club and Home United Fan Club.
if you've realised, i'm only wishing for the 3 clubs. haa!
and if you've realised again, i've purposely miss out on 1 club. haa!

Young Lions' Ismail Yunos and Obadin Aikhena are nominated for the
Young Player of the Year award for S.League Awards Night.
all the best to this two Young Lions players!
the S.League Awards Night will be held this Tueday at Orchard Hotel.

this coming Thursday, Young Lions will be playing against Tampines Rovers
to fight for the Third/Fourth placing for the RHB Singapore Cup.
not to forget, the RHB Singapore Cup final between SAF and Woodlands.
hopefully, it won't be SAF (again!) to carry the cup trophy.
do something about it, Woodlands!
all the very best to my beloved Young Lions! :)

seeing those words with my own eyes really breaks my heart.
but well, i just got to accept the cruel reality.
seriously, i hate to see myself going through the same old
shit again and again. i've only got myself to blame, i guess.
i'll take this as another lesson learnt, for what i've been through.
this is a painful truth, but i'll not bear any grudges against anyone.
like i always said, i can forgive easily, but i'll never forget.
i understand how hard it is to move on from the past.
i myself had gone through that before, so i know how it feels like.
still, i believe there's really no significance in holding on to the

past when the other party has moved on or is moving on.
by holding on to something or someone that isn't there
anymore, will only end up in greater hurt in the end.

smiles, they turned into tears.

things just haven't been going well lately. well, i'll take it as the way it is.
i've tried, but it's not all up to me. sometimes, we don't always get the
things we want, and life may not turn out as smoothly as we want it to be.
sad to say, i've been through the same old shit many times.
all these i have experienced, encountered and suffered.
but one thing's for sure, i have learnt not to hold on to the past.
by holding on to the past will never get you anywhere, seriously.

today is Ezzatul's last day at work.
i'm going to miss her.
i'll miss the times we gossip together.
i'll miss the lunches we have.
i'll miss our morning train journey to work.
i'll miss our train journey back from work.
i'll miss your random-ness.
all the best to your new job, Ezz!
i know we're going to meet up every now
and then, but life at work wouldn't be the same
anymore without your presence. awwww.

those words kept running through my mind.
little did i expect to hear that.
i'm not feeling good. not at all.

things never go my way.
life doesn't turn out the way i want it to be.
it takes two hands to clap. on my part, i did.
i've always do what i can, i've always try my best.
seems like everything just gone down the drain.
is there anything i can do to make things work out?
perhaps i would, or maybe i never could.

nothing much to update about.
my mum has undergone the operation.
she's slowly recovering i guess.
but definitely needs to recuperate at home.
thanks to all those who care.
well, haven't had enough sleep lately.
i just don't like the idea of sleeping.
i think it's a waste of time. hah!
i rather keep myself awake and do something
rather than spending my time sleeping away.

being a pessimistic person, negative thoughts
never fail to haunt me every now and then.
i don't know why, i'm feeling bothered about something.
nevermind, i'd just keep it to myself, cos nobody can help.
the past, those are just history which i'll never hold on to.
what's in the past can remain as memories.
but i guess it's better not to hold on to it.
i know it's hard for some people though.

on a brighter note, the movie "Kallang Roar" DVD is out!
yes, i've got a copy for myself of cos!
i've missed watching the movie in the cinema,
i wouldn't want to miss it again when the DVD's out!
i've watched it twice already and i'm still loving it!
those who watched it will reminisce about the good old
Malaysia Cup days! sadly, i wasn't even born during those days.
the movie also depicts the story of how our former Singapore
national football team coach, the late Uncle Choo, battled against
diabetes and overcame all odds to inspire and lead the team
to victory in the Malaysia Cup in 1977. i salute Uncle Choo!
his leg has to be amputated due to his illness.
i cried while watching the movie. it's very touching.
especially the part in the movie when Uncle Choo said,
"Take my leg but let them win". my tears just came down.
the movie is not just about football, it's about determination,
strong will and undying passion for the game.
we'll always remember the late Uncle Choo.

if i run away,

would anyone care enough to follow?

firstly, Happy Deepavali to my Indian friends!
it was my first time going to a Deepavali open house.
gowri invited us to her place today.
the food were really nice! tosai tosai tosai!
and, jaclyn drove us in her car, to gowri's place!
thanks to gowri for inviting us over!
not to forget, ezzatul and me almost got lost around
Serangoon area, while searching for nurul's place! heh heh.
and i've lost count of the number of times we took bus 43!

weekend was spent with the love one and family.
i've watched High School Musical 3 with firman!
hmmm, i won't say it's very good.
there's quite a lot of songs though.
it's a musical movie, what do you expect?
but i like the whole Graduation vibe in the movie!
we also went over to firman's friend, Rita's place,
she invited us to her place for Raya. thanks Rita!
it was nice meeting her for the first time :)
had a conversation with her and was touched by her words.
thanks for your assurance and everything, beb!

i also went out with mum, sis, cousins and auntie too!
shopping at peninsula plaza and dinner at my cousin's place.
and my cute little 7 months old nephew, he's so adorable!

have been down with a headache since yesterday morning.
could be due to the late nights or the lack of sleep lately.
perhaps it's the unpredictable weather.
or maybe too many thoughts have been running through my mind.
argh!! tomorrow back to work again!
i'm totally dreading it!

i hate to stay home on weekends.
but here i am, stuck at home on a sunday.
spend an hour plus watching "Camp Rock" on Youtube.
yes, i know that movie has been on for quite some time already.
as usual, i'm always the late and slow one.
Firman was the one who recommended me to listen
to a song, which is the soundtrack of the movie.
anyway, "Camp Rock" is quite nice.
if you like "High School Musical", you might like this too.

so now i'm actually working on the Young Lions Fan Club
portfolio thing, which is to be submitted by tomorrow.
yes, it's part of the requirements for the yearly Fan Club award
at the S.League Awards Night to be held in November.

hopefully by next week, i'll be able to receive all the photos
during the Hari Raya visits with the Young Lions family.
so far, the Young Lions family have visited Mami Rose's,
Abg Rosman's, Abg Hidir's, Kak Yana's, Uncle Musbah's,
Indrah Sahdan's houses. Besides that, i've visited
Ezzatul's and Uncle Rahim's house on my own too.

ManUMix.mp3 - aek

was randomly browsing through imeem.
came across this playlist of a few Man United songs.

very interesting how the fans came up with their
own lyrics
and even incorporate players' names into the songs.
Ryan Giggs, Solskjaer and other players even have their
own songs commonly sang by the fans at the matches!
the last song was abit mean though. hahaha.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and some other clubs' managers
were b
eing slammed in that song! oops. but i like!
no offence to any Liverpool, Chelsea or even Arsenal fans, etc.

especially to my dear Firman, don't be angry when you hear this song.

i agree that "You'll never walk alone" by Liverpool is nice.
but this one by Manchester United is even nicer! heh heh.
i can imagine the Manchester United fans in England, singing and chanting
those songs at every Man United matches, be it at home or away ground.
the atmosphere is definitely WOW WOW WOW!

ahhhh! i have a dream! let me dream, even if it might never come true.

my dream is to go to Old Trafford to watch my Manchest
er United!

as usual, i'm stuck at work! where else can i be?
work is becoming more and more mundane. argh!
everyday facing the computer doing that same old thing.
the only thing i look forward to daily is to knock off from work.
always anticipating and counting down till the clock strike 5.30pm.
what's more? the position is only a temporary job.
no employee benefits, no leaves, no stable income.
i want to get myself a permanent job soon. but how?
economy is not doing very well lately, i heard.
obviously companies will be cutting down on manpower.
in other words, less job openings and lower chances of securing a job.
i guess i have to stuck with this current temporary job for the time being.
hopefully by beginning of next year, i'll be able to secure myself a perm job.

i have been longing for something.
something so precious that it can never be replaced.
yet it's something that money cannot buy.
well, i guess i shan't carry much hopes of getting it.
i don't want to end up in greater disappointment if i don't get what i want.
if only. how i wish. i hope.

a little effort can go a long way.
a little initiative can make a big difference.
it's never too much to put in a little more effort and initiative, isn't it?

okay, just some random thoughts for the day.
i'm still waiting for more Raya photos from my friends.
will update as soon as i get them, promise!
hopefully by then, i won't have trouble uploading photos here.

hello to all my friends and loved ones!
as you can see, i've decided to start a new blog, like finally.
one reason for doing this is just so that i won't be reminded of the past.
not that i want to throw those memories away.
well, those memories in the past shall remain as memories.
i've moved on with life and not going to look back again.
in other words, i won't be deleting the previous blog.
it will still be available for viewing.
i've included it under my blog links.
anyway, i'm still waiting for my friends to send me photos
of the raya outings for the past weeks.
once i've received them, i'll upload and update again.
