Bye-Bye

I think Elise was ready for us to leave. She couldn't stop waving bye-bye.

Puffy, Puffy!!

Monday morning I got up with a little bit of swelling around my eyes. Clinton didn't think it was too bad, so I didn't worry. Tuesday morning, Clinton was getting ready to leave for work, and he came to kiss me goodbye. I turned around, and he jumped back saying, "You better make an appointment with the doctor." I ran to the bathroom, looked in the mirror, and saw what I think I would look like If I had been born a pig. My eyes were very swollen and the top part of my nose had doubled in size. The doctor "guessed" it was due to an allergic reaction to "something" (maybe a new eye cream.) This picture was taking later that day. And yes, I had to go to work looking like this!!!

A Front Yard... Finally!!!

We've been meaning to fix our front yard ever since Spring arrived. After many trips to the dump with dead grass, bushes, concrete, and dirt...we finally made it. Here are a few pictures of the house after removing all the "dying jungle," fixing the sprinkler system, and planting the new stuff.
The first pictures were taking Saturday morning, and the other ones Sunday morning. Thanks to Calvin and Joanne (and the doggies) for ALL their help.

How we came to be!

Clinton and I met in September, 2003, while attending BYU. I was finishing up my thesis and teaching Spanish as a part-time instructor. Clinton walked into my classroom the first day of the semester and I thought, "Darn it!!! Too bad he is my student, way too young, and waaaaaaaay out of my league." On top of that, during the semester he insisted that I should go out on a date with his "older" friend, Leandro. After trying to set me up with Leandro several times, I decided I would accept (Leandro had tickets for the Christmas Devotional). It turned out that Clint had a plan in mind.... and the rest is history. Clint and I got married the following September. Since then, I finished my M.A., Clint graduated in Psychology and he is almost done with his Master's Degree. We have lived in Utah, Spain, and now, we live in Loomis, Ca. We have a small, beautiful house, and a small, beautiful dog, Nala. Clint works as a test consultant, and I teach Spanish at Sierra College and Sacramento City College. We work a lot, we play a lot, and the best thing… we love each other a lot.
