Pretty Penny

Most mornings Savannah begs Josh not to go to work. I tell her everyday that he needs to go to work and make money so we can live in our home and eat food and do fun things.

Josh walked in the door just moments ago. Savannah pulled a penny out of her pocket and gave it to Josh.
Then she said, "You don't have to go to work anymore Dad." If only it was that simple.

Assassinations All Around

I pulled some laundry out of the dryer and was folding it. I asked Josh to take over. It was a simple request so that I could write this weeks menu and make our grocery list before Savannah woke up from her nap. This is what followed...

Josh: "Well, who is going to play with Mae then?"
Veronica: "You, after you fold the laundry. She will be fine for a few minutes by herself."
(Insert a little playful banter back and forth.)
Veroncia: "Okay, I will finish folding the laundry, put it away, and make the menu and grocery list so you can play with Mae if you make all the cookies for game night tonight."
Josh: "I will mix the dough and you can put it on the sheets and bake them"
Veronica: "Why can't you do all of it?"
Josh: "I would rather assassinate myself."

I didn't know assassination was an option but apparently Josh can't do tedious things, I had no idea he was suicidal.
