FTL196 Thank You Card

Hi friends. Here's a Thank You card for our sketch challenge this week.

I didn't use an alignment tool to layout my images on the card. After it was stamped, even if I did move them down a bit, I still wouldn't have fit the entire large images on top. Overall, I feel pretty good about this card and love the colors. I moved my sentiment over to the left as it's pretty monochromatic on that side and the Fillable Frames #11 was perfect.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us today. You've all made some beautiful cards for this challenge!

Stamps: Fillable Frames Additions 2, Lovely Layers
Card Stock: Vintage Cream
Ink Pads: Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, True Black
Button: Simply Chartreuse Vintage
Twine: Vintage Cream
Die-Cut: Fillable Frames #11
Size: 5-1/2 x 4-1/4

196!

Good morning!
Here's this week's sketch. I've made 2 cards for this one. On each card, my squares are 1.25, however I spaced them slightly differently.

Here's the first one I made, I was having fun with the Domestic Goddess paper, and went with a somewhat Retro inspired colour palette. The only stamps are from PTI's Board and Beams.

Here's my second card. I went with an earthy palette, using Kraft, Brown, and Natural paper. The only stamps are from PTI's Pretty Peonies.

FTL195 Happy Hello

Hi friends. I hope that you had a great day yesterday. I had a very busy and fun weekend, albeit a bit on the unusual side.

We have another wonderful sketch from Natasha to work with. Isn't she just amazing? I wanted to play around with the May Papertrey Ink release so broke out the Happy Hydrangea stamp set and die-cuts, as well as using an Image from Damask Designs. I used Raspberry Fizz, Ripe Avocado. Stamper's Select White, Smokey Shadow, and Spring Moss card stock. I stamped the hydrangea directly onto card stock using Versamark, clear embossing powder, and heat setting it. I used black dye ink for my sentiment and also heat embossed that. I cut a piece of Spring Moss card stock and added it under the sentiment trimming the bottom with my pinking shears for a little eye-catching visual interest. I also stamped an image from Damask Designs in the center of the Spring Moss panel for some balance using Versamark. I die-cut the gingham bow using Raspberry Fizz Pattern Pack and adhered a large Stampin' Up! pearl to the center. I really like my color combination and hope that you do too! Additional pictures and information can be found at Cindy Coutts Designs.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us and have a blessed day!

FTL195 You Look Marvelous!

Here is my take on FTL195.  I've been away stamping with my Yahoo group friends and I used a stamp off from one of my friend's SU! sets.  The inside says, "and on my birthday you must say that I look marvelous!".  I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and Goo Gone.

FTL194 Bird Bath

Hi. Happy Monday to you. I am so sorry that this is not my best work. I had to travel halfway across the country last week, add about 7 hours of driving and 12 hours of flying time, and I'm jet lagged with no mojo. If you find, it, please send it my way.

As usual, we have an awesome sketch from Natasha and Harriet's card is just beautiful, as is Natasha's. Such talented designers - and then comes along this card. Ugh.

I started with a Rustic White card stock base and matted another piece onto Enchanted Evening. My die-cuts and stamp sets are Little Bitty Bird & Additions and the Large Scallop, using Dark Chocolate, Enchanted Evening, Fine Linen Pattern Pack, Fresh Snow, Ripe Avocado, and Simply Chartreuse. My die-cuts were also from Little Bitty Bird. I kept it very clean by not ink distressing anywhere. It's a cute little card and I do hope that you enjoy it.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us today and God bless you! I will see you next Monday as I like to make that my usual posting day. I love this challenge and am so grateful to be a part of it. I also love going to your blogs to see what you create!

FTL194 From the Heart

I really love this sketch!  The patterned paper is from MME Lost and Found Collection.  I used my Heart Nestabilities and an EKSuccess border punch.  The sentiment is from Woodware USA's Loads of Love set.

194!

Happy Friday!

Here's this week's sketch! For proportions, the main thing is to keep your whole panel layer proportionate to the card base. So 3.75x5 or 3.25x4.5, that sort of thing.

I went with a cheer up sort of card!

Supplies:
Stamps: Super Stars
Paper: White, Smokey Shadow, Lemon Tart
Ink: Smokey Shadow, Summer Sunrise
Accessories, etc.: Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Big Scallop Edge die, Small circle hole punch

FTL193 Berry Sweet

Good morning. It seems to be a little dreary and rainy all over the place today and hopefully this fun and cute card will bring some cheer. This is a very unusual color combination for me. Natasha's card is just lovely. I used Berry Patch and Berry Patch sentiments with a Sweet Blush card base, a Basic Black mat, and Spring Moss. I stamped the Spring Moss card stock with the large image from Berry Patch using Versamark. I die-cut 3 different sizes of strawberries and their tops using Pure Poppy and Simply Chartreuse card stock and then stamped the coordinating image and ink color onto the die-cuts. I colored in the "dots" of the strawberry with a little silver glimmer marker but now wished I had used black as it makes better sense so I just might redo the card as it was simple enough to put together. I added some small black gems to the center leaves of the strawberries and adhered them to the card with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped with True Black ink.

Thank you for stopping by to visit us today and I hope you like this card!

193!

Happy Friday!

Here's this week's sketch. I used flowers, since they are an easy form of clip art to add to a digital sketch. Don't let that hinder your creative choices though. Use whatever items you like, just try to have 3 similar objects that are 3 different sizes.

Here's my card. I have to say, I'm not in love with it. But it can be really hard to create something when you've packed up more than half your stuff, you've limited yourself to only using scraps, and you are pressed for time. So all things considered, it's okay.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Think Big #13, Polka Dot Basics 2, Beautiful Blooms 2, Background Basics: Retro
Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Black Onyx
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Black, White
Accessories, etc: Beautiful Blooms #1 die, Buttons, Twine
