FTL155 + cQc77



I made another card with this sketch, but I had a hard time deciding which color combo to use because there are so many great ones!
I stamped patterns on the hearts and stitched down the middle of the two larger ones.

Colour Q Challenge

In honour of colourQ's 100th colour challenge, I am posting another card using one of their previous palette's (all the way back to CQC4!).
So here's my second take on this sketch, using this fun colour palette. I wanted something a bit different than the last one, something a bit more formal, instead of fun. FTL + ColorQ


I picked a more recent colorQ challenge because I just got the new SU in colors and wanted to play with them.  I used the cane IP on the indigo island piece, and the lattice EF on the calypso flowers.

155, with a bit of colourQ

154-A Jingle Belles Friday Sketch

This week, we have teamed up with the fun Jingle Belles blog. They offer amazing holiday card inspiration every week! So in honour of that, it's Christmas a bit early here at the clean & simple blog!
Here's this week's sketch:
I had lots of fun making use of punches and coordinating designer paper! I made 2 holiday cards. The measurements are pretty straight forward, the main image panel is 2.5. The circles were 1-3/4, 1-1/4, 1, 3/4, and 1/2.

Here is my take on the FTL153.  We're playing with CAS-ualFridays this week.  I was a bit stumped at first with the horizontal panel being under the image.  So I decided to attach the horizontal panel onto the vertical panel and then used the daisy border embossing folder over the panels.

So, August is a bit of a fun month here at the clean & simple stamping blog. There are SO many fabulous challenge blogs in the community, and several stampers have really embraced the clean and simple style. Time for another sketch. The sketch is for a tall, skinny card. It's quite a basic card, but if you're curious on what measurements I used:
  • Card base: 6x3-3/4
  • White Layer: 1-1/4x3-3/4
  • Mat Layer: 1-3/8-3-3/4
  • Label- Fillable Frames #4
I am obsessed with these colours together once again. I had kind of taken a break from them, but I saw a spread in a design magazine, and thought, "right, I have always liked those colours together".
