Vacation Part 1 Clemson, South Carolina

I have been promising Brandon and Michelle since they left Wyoming that I would come and visit them.  It has been several years and several moves and I finally made it out to see them.  I flew in late to Atlanta and then drove up to Clemson.  Within a few days we crammed choir, church, visiting the campus of Clemson, celebrating Columbus day because everything was closed, saw an amazing botanical gardens, went to lunch with Annie to celebrate her birthday, had yummy hot chocolate, went to the Clemson soccer game which Brandon took us to in his cruiser (sorry Brandon I didn't get a picture), went to a beautiful lake for dinner,  Googled science homework answers to help Zane, solved the world's problems, talked about survivor, talked about fun Wyoming memories, and enjoyed 75 degree weather.  THANK YOU ROSS FAMILY!

This was yummy hot chocolate!!!

Soren enjoying his favorite thing-a ball.
Annie and Zane at the soccer game
This little town of Pendleton is full of people making scarecrows for Halloween.

Which building does Brandon work in?  One is a beautiful building that says Engineering and then you have the one above that is a historical building.  If you look close you can see Brandon in the picture above.

The leaves weren't ready to change colors.  The tree above had the best color in Clemson while I was there.  I was just a few weeks to early to see the colors.  They do have cool looking trees!

This house we tried to take the tour on Columbus day but they were closed.  We came back the next day and they were closed for lunch.  So we went and bothered Brandon for 20 minutes then came back and was able to take the tour.  It is great that they have several of the original furniture and pictures.
Clemson stadium above.  Below is a picture of how much pride that Clemson takes in their school colors.

We went to this beautiful lake for dinner.  There was this cool looking castle on the shore across the lake.

My hair is trying to attack Michelle in this picture :)  Lets try again

Beautiful Annie and some Fall colors starting

 Handsome Zane and Soren!!

And the day would not be perfect without the grasshopper :)

AVP Volleyball in SLC!!!

I was so excited that the AVP decided to make a stop in SLC.  Because of the busy weekend I was only able to go on Sunday instead of all 3 days but it was amazing, awesome, hot, and I can't wait for next year!!!  I was able to see the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship matches for both women and men.  It was so cool to see these amazing athletes in person.  Plus I got Kerri Walsh and Whitney Pavlik autographs :)  HAPPY DAY!!!
