Baby Quilt

This is the latest quilt I have done.  It is a signature quilt that I made for my cousins baby.  I love the material in this one.  Now it is time to start another one.

 We spent spring break on vacation to California to see our families, help my sister move and to have some fun in the sun.  It was nice weather and we enjoyed being outside most of the time.  We got to see Grandpa John and play in his back yard.  The kids loved it.  They loved picking the lemons too.

We went to the beach with Jenny and Charlie and Stephen.  It wasn't the warmest day to go to the beach but the kids had a great time.  Wesley and Stephen saw lots of creatures in the ocean.  Claire found a lady bug and was happy as could be playing with it and putting it in the sand and feeding it bread.  She finally let it go.  The ocean was really cold and so none of us got in.  Claire was looking at the seashells and fell when a wave knocked her down.  She did not like that ONE bit.  It was great to see Jenny and part of the boys.  We were sad we weren't able to see all of them.  Hopefully we will be able to go out again this summer!

We did a LOT of swimming.  Jamie's new place had a great pool.  Perfect for all ages.  Claire never wanted to leave.  She is a fish.  Wait so is Wes he didn't ever want to leave either!

We also went on a bike ride.  Claire went in the Ibert for the first time and LOVED it.  Thanks mom for getting that for her birthday!

Happy Birthday to Wesley!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet handsome little boy.  Okay so not so little he turned 11.  I know I am a couple of days late, but better late then never.  He is one amazing big brother and Claire loves him.  He is patient with her (most of the time!)  He got a bike and all he wants to do is ride it.  We are so lucky to have Wes in our family.  He always makes us laugh.  WE LOVE YOU!!!

Holy Snow Batman!!!!

 

We woke up to about 4 inches of snow today.  Yesterday it was 74 degrees outside.  Today is going to be a high of 40!  We love living in good ole' Utah in the spring.  Thankfully we are going to sunny California next week for spring break.  Hopefully the weather will be nice to us!

Claire loves to get dressed by herself.  She is so independent these days.  She was trying to put her shirt on and it kept sliding down and I got this shot of her.  How can anyone not love those chubby cheeks.  It is hard to stay mad at her. Below are some pictures of her making funny faces.  It isn't very often that she pulls faces and lets me take pictures.  Hell, she usually doesn't ever let me take pictures unless someone is in them with her!

'Tis the season.........for sick kiddo's!

Well here we are going into week 4 of Claire being sick.  It is no fun having a sick little one that can't tell you whats wrong.  She started out with just a dry cough and just as we thought that we were at the end of her sickness she gets another one.  We had to take her to the e.r. in the middle of the night because she was having a really hard time breathing and was coughing like a serious smoker.  She had croup.  That is some nasty stuff.  We are finally at the end of that I hope.  I took her to the dr. today and he said that it looks like we are at the end of it.  The croup is pretty much gone, and her lungs sound good.  Thank heavens for that!  She hasn't been eating all that well, but today she ate a decent breakfast and ate lunch like a champ!  Cross your fingers that she is on the mend.

Wesley woke up this morning with a sore throat and a cough.  I am hoping he just really wanted a day off of school.  But I have a sore throat too so I am pretty sure we have what Claire started off with.  We just need spring to get here so we can all feel better!

A couple pictures from Claire's birthday party.  We had such a good time.  Ate lots of good food and Claire got enough frosting to last her all year!  She didn't want any cake just frosting. 

It is hard to believe she is 2.  She is talking like a champ when she wants to, but try and get her to say something when she isn't in the mood is impossible.  She loves to show off how high she can jump and how fast she can run.  She wants to go up to the mountains to find rocks really bad.  She loves playing play dough and just about anything with the boys.  She LOVES her aunt Katie and asks to go up there almost daily.  She loves to go on walks and to collect rocks. 
If she thinks that a pair of shoes looks uncomfortable she won't put them on.  She loves to read books and play with the seashells fae fae got her. 
She is a big tease and a little bit stubborn but we will keep her anyways.
She had her 2 year checkup and she is 24 pounds 11 ounces and 35 inches long.  24% for weight and 83% for height.  Her head is still in the 95%

Thanks for everyone that came to the party, it was so much fun.  Can't wait to do it again next year!

Claire and Mamma!

Me and Claire do a lot of hanging out together. Especially now that the boys are back in school. She asks for them occasionally. I think she gets a little bored sometimes, who doesn't when we are at home all day.
Some of our favorite things to do together: Cook, play hide and seek, read books, play with play dough. She talks like crazy these days and is getting better and better at reading her words.
I thought I would give potty training a try. She was in underwear for most of the day yesterday. I must say it is pretty cute to see her in those elmo unders. She peed in the potty once. I guess that is pretty good for the first day.
Claire will be so excited that Wes is home from school tomorrow and both boys are home on Monday. It is always good when we can all hang out together! I wish we could say we are doing something really fun, but we will be getting the house in salt lake ready to sell. Say a prayer for us that it will happen quickly!! I really want to get rid of that thing!
