Neglectful Parenting

The other night Kipp and I were being really great parents. We were playing Wii with some friends and obviously not watching Ayden super closely. I have never needed to strap him into his swing-but I guess I need to start! We turn around and our child is hanging out of the swing. Sorry the video is the wrong way-I don't know how to flip it. An example of great parenting!

P.S. the best thing about this video is you can hear Kipp in the background getting after me for standing in the way of the TV. Classic!

Play Dates!

Although Ayden is really not old enough to know or to care-he often gets to play with his friends. Really it is for the moms, but why not snap a few pics of our kids "playing" together. The time is so welcomed to spend with some other adults-usually we get together with a purpose in mind-but end up talking the entire time.
I have been meaning to post these pictures for awhile now. This was in December when Erin came up for Christmas. We all got together with our little ones. Here are the boys in the group. Isaac, Mason and Ayden. They don't know it yet-but they are going to be great pals.

Here are some of Ayden's friends in the neighborhood. Ayden, Ryan and Marina.Even thought Marina is not looking at the camera in this one-I had to post it because of Ayden's face. This is actually just after he rolled over for the very first time. I think he is proud of himself!

Boston and Ayden.

Welcome Zack!

Ayden has a new cousin! He was born on January 25th. He was 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches. I think these two little guys will be the best of buds-although it looks like Ayden could eat him right now. Congrats to Adam and Cami-their first boy after three girls! He is such a sweet baby!

Where do I start?

Ayden is starting to do all sorts of tricks. First of all the little stink got his first two teeth almost three weeks ago. He was actually really good-and I had no idea until my little sister had her finger in his mouth and felt some teeth coming through. He also started rolling over this last week. It is pretty funny to watch his expression after he rolls over-he looks a little surprised. We started feeding him rice cereal almost three weeks ago and he is not a big fan. I think that he really dislikes the texture, and he makes the greatest faces. It is so sad-I have to trick him into smiling and as soon as he does, he gets a mouth full of cereal. He is getting trickier all of the time about spitting it out. His latest new trick is blowing. I know that at this age babies discover their lips and tounge and start making raspberry noises, but Ayden just blows like he is practicing blowing out his candles for his first birthday. He is so entertained by it-he often wakes up and the first thing he does-blows!He is LOVING the tub these days. I found a new kind of chair to put him in in the tub that leaves his arms and legs free to splash and he goes crazy!
