Well Summer is over and that makes me sad. Even Summer is so different now then it was a few years ago, with nothing changing from my daily routine, there is still something I will always love about that time of year. Cody did amazing in school this semester and we are counting down the classes until he graduates... Frankly, it can't come soon enough :) I am so proud of how hard he works everyday and stays so incredibly busy during the day, and still manages to help with the babes at night!
Things are going really well for all of us and we are finally starting to settle into a life of four and I am starting to feel that I have this mom of two thing down. We have a very rough outline of a daily schedule and it makes the days seem not so long. I still plan for the 453875 curve balls everyday however! I often find myself saying things that the 20 year old me would never have dreamed of saying. As I sit here and type this, "Jewels spitting food out on the carpet is not a good choice, keep it in your mouth." Oh and the ever popular, "Leave your brother's nose alone." ( She loves pointing to everyone's nose, sometimes she misses and take out an eye). Since they say it is now Fall (despite the record setting 98* yesterday) I guess I'll get around to posting Summer pictures.
Lots and Lots of swimming...At swim lessons, splash pad, Nana and Bampa's house, and a small water park by our house. Sad that KC is not in any of these pics...next year! She loved swim lessons and was fearless in the water. She was the youngest in the class and the only one not to be scared going off the diving board (which consisted of one life guard dropping her to another, and let's be honest her head never even went under). But still impressive...must be dad's genes!

Bowling when Cassie was in town! This picture reminds me of The Blind Side when the grandpa call us and says "you know there is a black guy in your Christmas card picture?" That is my good friend Andy, he is close to all of us and it was great to have him there!

| We usually go to Lake Ouchita every summer but things have become so crazy with everyone's different schedules so we took a weekend trip to a lake just over the OK-TX boarder. It was super fun and the only thing that went wrong with two babies camping was I forgot my pump and had to drive 25 min to the closest Walmart to buy a new one. I haven't forgot again :) |
