Babies are hilarious

After some tummy time today, we decided we'd try to get some good photos while there was light out. This one cracks me up!

This makes up for the massive diaper blowout before her 2 week appointment at the doctor's this morning. Like all newborns, she's lost a bit of weight that first week, but is on her way back up at 7 lbs. 9 oz.

Keep your fingers crossed...

Gustav is heading over towards my friend Christina. They're safe with friends for now, but they might still be affected. I hope Gustav looses steam and that there will be minimal storm damage...

I'll be keeping NOLA and those areas in my thoughts and prayers.

Ravelympic Progress and other crafting

So I've finished 14 our 16 wedges of the baby blanket, but it looks I might need to add more to make it a full circle.

I also finished the baby sweater made with a pattern and yarn gifted from Christina. All that's missing are the buttons. Thanks Christina!

I've been spinning at night to keep my legs from cramping too much in bed. This is Rooster Rock roving from a BMFA Sheep to Shoe Kit.

Last weekend I had a ton of fun at the Monterey Wool Auction and ended up splitting a couple fleeces with people. I can't wait for them to be processed. :)

5 blessed years together...

The hubby and I treasure every moment together so far, and we look forward to sharing more of them with our little bundle of joy in December. :)

I've finally got some of my knitting mojo back, and may post about that soon...

Monkey See, Monkey Do

Christina and I are having our own little knit-along for Cookie's patterns. Here's my progress so far.

I'm using the Carbon colorway of StR.

Before the Monkey pair, I finished a pair of Cedar Creek socks using the Undertoe colorway of StR.

Grateful

I'm grateful for so many things. Thanks for all the postive thoughts everyone.

I still knit and spin prolificly, although I don't post about it much these past few months.

I'm going to Stitches West. Hope to see some of you there! :)
