completely uncoordinating colors, scheme and lack of balance. The room appears top heavy and very busy, even if you do like black and white.

master bedroom

The master bedroom was finally finished last Spring. I wanted an equal balance of feminine and masculine colors and qualities. The room is a North facing room and so I painted 3/4 of the room's walls white to brighten it up, leaving 1 wall to act as the focal point. The room is relatively small, so no large pieces of furniture here.

Previously the bedroom was a bland shade of sage green, during remodeling it had plaster on the walls...

...and sheetrock for the construction of the headboard.

After again

A small armless chair works well in this bedroom as opposed to a large overstuffed chair or sofa.

Avastra; settled in

Reception Area

A few months after Avastra had settled in I came by to take some portfolio pictures. I've since added a couple nick-knacks here and there. Avastra is a sleep-disorders diagnosing center, complete with six bedroom suites, a doctor's office, lab room, tech room and equipment rooms.

Break Room

It was requested that the break room be bright and lively, since employees are working during the night hours as well.

I used a green apple floor paired with natural maple cabinets.

Both maple colored and green apple colored flecks run throughout the counter top.

Avastra Sleep Center; moving day

April 2008
Finally all the kinks were worked out and moving day came. This was exciting because I got to see how the furniture (some newly purchased, some taken from the old center) looked with the paint and carpet, etc.

These desks were a new order and I think they go perfectly with the overall look.

Here's a glimpse of the two-tone walls with the carpet.
