First day of school

My girls first day of school was August 18th. Abigail started kindergarten and Grace is now in second grade. sigh. They sure are growing up fast. Abigail went right in just like her sister...no apprehension at all--just pure excitement. :) She has the same teacher that taught Grace first grade last year, so it's nice to have that recognition with her teacher. Her biggest complaint for school thus far is that they require a "rest time" where they lay down on beach towels. For a little girl that hasn't napped in 3 years it's odd, but she informs that she pretends to sleep. :) Grace is still upset that OK doesn't have an art class like they did in TX, but is enjoying her class and keeps up informed on their class pets (They have a crab that keeps killing their fishes). I am so proud of my little girls and am loving that they have each other in school. On Friday on the way home from school Grace excitedly told me that she got to hug Abby in the hallway when they passed each other. :) They're good girls.

Playing catch up

We are a little behind on the blog again...Not due to a shortage of activities though!! :) What a summer! So much fun and family. And now we have 2 girls in school! What a fun few months we have had. Back in July the kiddos and I were able to spend a week in San Antonio followed by a family drive and Gibson reunion in Show Low, AZ.

First Stop-Texas
My little sister dressed the girls up and took them on a trip :)

All dressed up

Getting their luggage

Second Stop--Arizona
What a view we had to wake up to every morning!!Sunrise
Craig and I took full advantage of the beautiful sunrises together
We also went on a nice stroll with Grandma and Granddad while we waited for the Simpsons to arrive. We also could see the amazing cabins built around here...

Corban decided he was done :)

We went to the Pioneer Day parade in Snowflake...So much fun!!
Motorized garbage cans

After the parade we stopped by to visit Grandma and bring some flowers
We also got to stop by our favorite temple--Snowflake!! Here are some of the cute cousins together....

Craig took this shot of angel Moroni--I love it!

The family...A lot sure has changed since we were at this temple 8 years ago....Back at the cabin the kiddos all made wooden boats that they floated in the creek behind the cabin....

A little park hopping Showlow....

...And a talent show. We all had fun singing, doing skits, and eating ice cream....

On another note, Abby has had two haircuts recently---
here's reason one:
gum

Reason two:
silly putty

Air and Space museum--Last weekend before school!!!

And last but not least, Lucy!! She is getting so big...This is what happens when you only buckle one side of bouncy...She can also roll with the best of them and "crawl" toward all the paper she can find.
