Lexi's class did a performance of their "Favorite Things" they had lots of fun songs that they lad learned through the year. Lexi had a solo, she has had a cold so her voice was kind of froggy, but she still did a wonderful job. What a brave little girl to get up and do that!

Two little girls sleeping on me, I must be a pretty comfy pillow:
Spring soccer has been quite dramatic weather wise, either super hot, cold, or rainy.
We thought the rain was all done when we saw the rainbow, apparently it was just getting started. The grass sprayed water every time they stepped. The girls were so cold and miserable!
This game was nice and pleasant to watch! Lexi has a very competitive team. Most of the girls have played a long time together and are very dominant on offense. In fact, they all hate playing defense because all they do is sit in the backfield and do nothing. Being 1 and 2 graders, they weren't very good at looking to pass to each other. Lexi was pretty fierce and not afraid to get in the middle and push around a bit. We were excited to see her score on the very last game!
Bryce on his ripstick at the park while Lexi played:
Marc has better pictures of the boys on his computer. Tyler and Bryce's team was actually fun to watch this year. Marc helped coach and they really worked on spacing and passing. It was really exciting to watch the boys make plays and see the results. Bryce and Tyler learned a lot this year! They've both decided that they really like soccer, we'll see where we go from here!
Funny girl will only take naps in my room. But if that's what it takes, fine with me!
Marc and I signed up to do the "Battlefrog" race. It was a 5 mile run with about 25 different obstacles in it. We climbed over walls, climbed up ropes, got ourselves out of mud pits, got across monkey bars that moved on you! (I was most proud that I got across that obstacle!!) We carried sand bags and jere rigs, went up cargo ladder that was stories tall and back down the other side, traveled across walls that had a 1/2" ledge on it, it was pretty crazy. My knees are hips start getting agitated after 3 miles. We had to stop and Marc stretched me out for a couple of minutes. We made it through together! Both of us felt pretty proud at what we had accomplished.
Here's some of the race pictures, in no particular order:
We did it!
We had some gnarly war wounds. Here's some of the bruising on the back of my thighs
and a good chunk out near my ankle
Marc had some pretty bad rope burns and bruises too. We felt like warriors.
The kids' school does a dance festival. The different grades learn a dance and perform it together. Lexi's grade did the Mexican hat dance:
The rest of the pictures are on the big camera and I haven't moved those over yet. The 4th graders did a dance "Nobody Can Bring Me Down"
After the dances, we left with the kids and went to Thanksgiving Point Farm
And McDonalds. And we got a Redbox movie to watch. We were were like the best parents ever.
Lexi wanted to badly to participate in the talent show. I was reluctant and first, but she kept persisting. We decided to do "God Bless America" She competed against the first graders and then was one of the 3 selected to represent the first graders in the school-wide talent show. My little girl got up in front of over 1,000 people and sang a solo! She's so much braver than I am!
After school ended on Friday, we loaded up the van and drove to Boise for Memorial Day Weekend.
