Merry Christmas! - thank You for Your love
Christmas day concluded with a BBQ gathering a Karen's new condo..check out the great view from her unit!!! It's totally awe-inspiring! Certainly hope we can return for New Year countdown! It's perfect to view the fireworks! *hint*
Thank God for this beautiful Christmas season...and I'm so glad I finally could buy a few gifts for my precious family and a few dear friends who've given so much to me to make my 2008 a beautiful one.
It's been probably 10 years ago since I last had extra $$ to buy Christmas gifts..so I'm really VERY HAPPY wrapping all the gifts, despite the pinch I'm feeling now seeing my bank account..haha..Truly it's more blessed to give! =D
Not forgetting the nice gifts from the super-nice people and the lovely cards with heartwarming messages...THANK YOU!! I feel really blessed! =)
As I got more involved in gift-giving this Christmas season, I realized that Christmas really seems to be the most joyous time of the year. Where families, friends, colleagues, get together to celebrate and give to one another. I saw how everyone got busy doing Christmas shopping; hear the laughter over dinner tables as friends gather and exchanged presents; listened to all the stories from different offices celebrating Christmas in a time of joy and gift-giving; watched the news of how people around the world celebrate this occasion.
It amazes me how an occasion which marks the birth of Jesus, celebrated by Christians, has brought much love and joy to people of all ages & nationalities. Other than New Year and Chinese New Year, Christmas is the day which crowds of people actually "countdown" to.
It warms my heart to know that the gift of God given to us more than 2 millennium ago is still shining with hope, love and joy for all mankind every Christmas day. =)

haha...sounds more tired than a working day...haha!

It's Amazing... - my Father God
My Father God is alwiz so amazing; seldom early but never too late.
Juz a day ago,
I cried till there was no more tears;
I prayed till there was no more words;
I visualized till I see nothing but a blank.
I worked till I was sick and my energy all drained;
I thought I've reached the end.
I see no way.
Then my Father God gave me words to sing His praises;
My Father God gave me strength to carry on.
My Father God shone a light and showed the way.
My Father God held my hands and led me on.He was here with me all along.

Programmed to be Victorious - food for thought..
Some excerpts taken from "Your Capacity in God" by Ulf Ekman...was reading the book this morning and these caught my attention..though it's not the first time I'm reading about it but it certainly serves as a reminder for me..=)
A bumblebee is programmed to fly. Scientifically, the bumblebee is too clumsy and its wings too small to enable flight. Specialists have spent considerable time trying to figure out why the bumblebee flies, despite the odds. If the bumblebee itself started trying to figure out why it should not be able to fly, it would surely stop flying immediately. But it is programmed to fly, and so it does.
And so it is with us. From the beginning of time, man was programmed to live in perfect freedom and to rule and extend God's kingdom in cooperation with Him.
God gave us (an example) - Jesus Christ. Jesus lived in perfect liberty and authority and was never hampered by the dictates of circumstance, soul or body. God wants us to live in the same way, and herein rages the battle in our life.
The devil's ultimate goal is to wipe you out, and the sooner the better. But he cannot get at you on his own terms since his lack of rights ahs rendered him powerless. Nevertheless, he is satisfied if he can cause you to become lethargic, or listless, or to lose the power and the ability God has given you.

Xtreme Games @ Kuching - thank God for the miracle!!
Thank God for the Xtreme Games which went on smoothly during the Kuching trip..It's really by God's grace that it can happen successfully!
Miracle #1
It has been raining the past few days from 4+pm...without fail...even on the day before our event...on the day of Xtreme Games, the dark clouds gathered everywhere except where our games were held!! Really by the grace of God! The very next day, at 4+pm, it rained again! It's really the hand of God upon us...THANK YOU GOD!
Miracle #2
I was having sore throat and losing my voice the day before the event..on that day itself, I was having running nose in the morning...just before the games, right after the morning session, my throat was totally alright and I managed to lead through the games! Thank God again!!
Indeed, God's grace is sufficient for us!

BACK FROM KUCHING! - meow!
Ok...that was lame I know..haha..in case you don't know.."Kuching" means "cat" in Malay..;p Anyway I'm back from Kuching mission trip! Together with the wonderful, beautiful, awesome, powerful team below...
Highlighting the creative and dedicated singers & musicians...(Ain't our Pst Zhuang super cool and stylish with the electric guitar?) and the young & pretty, yet mature and "zai" interpretor..Min Rui! *claps*Having fun as we work together with the vibrant and energetic team from CHC (Kuching)!
The trip was really awesome and just as they kept thanking us for impacting them, I think I am just as impacted and inspired.
Right at the first session on the first day, I was already very touched by this uncle...judging by his appearance, he shld be at least in his 70s? & he actually went forward, lifted both his hands to respond to the altar call to be more on fire & passionate in serving God, finishing our race for God. After the laying of hands, he returned to his seat with watery eyes..I was really moved...If this uncle, at his age, wanna b more on fire for God, how much more excited shld I be!
On the last day, I found out also that uncle was the one who brought Sonia, one of the youth leaders to church! Uncle must have lived an exciting life for God! I pray God, that You'll bless uncle tremendously!Also, thank God for the dear leaders from Kuching... Jinzhu 传道 for arranging for ALL our transportation... really not easy to always ensure there is a car to fetch 18 of us from 2 different hotels + 1 apartment to the church and back...oh and not forgetting to bring us for meals... all thanks to this powerful and anointed woman and the team of youth leaders!
Guorong, who is also a professional makeup artist in the church, only 19 years old! Together with his brother Daniel (the church drummer @ 15 years old) and his sis Catherine!
Avin and his BIG & comfy car!
Not forgetting the powerful and all-rounder Pst Kelvin!! He is super solid...fetch the children to children church, lead children church service, send them back..then fetch the youths for youth service, preach in youth service and send them back home..the next day he will be leading prayer meeting and praise and worship for main church service... ask him about sound crew, he can do it, video cam, he can do it...no wonder God is using him greatly!!
...and THE MAN behind the great team from Kuching...PST GEORGE!! Praying and believing to see the 1,000 breakthrough!! 加油加油加油！！

Unusual Silence - feeling weird...
Feels weird to be left all alone in the office, experiencing the unusual silence in this place where it's usually filled with all the buzz...locking up the cupboards, windows, doors...something which usually only the guys do...hmmm...weird...
And it doesn't help that Weiren is on the plane now I can't even call him...=(
