in a few hours time 2004 will take its leave and the world welcomes the next gregorian year..2005. however, celebrations this time round will sing a different tune in light of the recent tsunami tragedy.
Speaking of which, hope you guys are doing your part in aiding the tsunami victims. You can donate $$, canned food, clothing, blankets, towels etc.
Singapore Polytechnic is currently collecting aid for Singapore Red Cross Society (SRCS). Details are as follows:-
Collection point: in front of SP Convention Center, near to Dover MRT station.
Time: From 9am to 9pm (Monday to Friday)
Last day for collection: 7th January 2005.

RAS AL KHAIMAH (Amiriah Arab Bersatu) -
Sebuah ladang di Ras Al Khaimah, kira-kira 80 kilometer ke utara Dubai, diselaputi salji buat pertama kalinya dalam sejarah negara itu, apabila suhu menjunam ke 5 degree Celcius di bawah sifar kelmarin.
Amiriah Arab Bersatu (UAE) menyaksikan hujan lebat, turunan salji dan suhu yang melampau sejuk buat pertama kalinya minggu ini, lapor agensi berita WAM semalam.
Selepas dua hari hujan lebat dan turunan salji berakhir malam kelmarin, pergunungan Al-Jees di kawasan itu, yang setinggi 1,737 meter dari aras laut, diliputi timbunan salji.
Dua orang terkorban dan sembilan cedera dalam 400 kemalangan di Dubai akibat hujan, lapor WAM.

one step closer....juz a few more days and finally it'll be in my possession!
juz finished installing Microsoft office into my favourite cousin's laptop. its so freaking new! but envy aside, she's giving me the computer that goes with the maxonline package :D have to remember to thank her again!
new year coming...i feel like revamping my room...
stuck. not much space to work with...seriously, i feel that my house is too crammed. wat to do..4 growing kids and not enough space for each...haha
if onlie i could have my own place..haha like real onlie. dream on man. the only time i'll have my own place is aft marriage.
looking at the rate thgs are gg now...perhaps the moz i can do to my room is a change of posters...maybe take down the army posters & put up some taufik related stuff...or maybe try and see if can make a nice collection of photos to paste on the wall above my bed. hmmm *ponders*
niwaez, this whole week has me floating on cloud 9. i hate having sch during the hols. so not in the mood. man, i reallie need to get down to work...my noble intentions of studying everyday has been neglected. notti me. gotta get the starter to start ma engine going asap.
that reminds me...had an interesting chat with the pakcik that drove me to sch today. (in his cab)
his son graduated frm SP 2 yrs ago...was frm EEE. niwae, we chatted bout furthering studies, aim to be a 'melayu temajaya (terus maju jaya)' and not juz melayu berjaya and definitely not juz being melayu.
he's great fun to talk to..or perhaps its juz the wonderful feeling of sharing views with a complete stranger and feeling like u've known each other for years. i almoz felt like i was talking to a relative.
when he dropped me off, he said that the next time we meet, i'd have graduated and continue to be a 'melayu temajaya'. Insyaallah...

item 1:
so quickly does time fly. onlie a year ago did my classmates and i spend the nite as officials during SP's Countdown Party. and now, 2004 is about to retire...to be replaced by 2005. as before, hope that the coming year will be much better than the previous. i'll post more related to this on the day itself...
item 2:
wow! in this aspect, time seems to slow down...aLOT. or maybe it doesnt, depending on how u look at it. Little did i realize that its been almoz 3 months since the day it struck me that i liked him. at times it seems like ive had a crush on him since the day we met...other times it feels like it was only yesterday.
other than another milestone in terms of a different year, the days after friday will determine juz how strong these feelings are..made an observation that my crushes/infatuation etc usually lasts either a month or 3 months. with the exceptional 7 month 'relationship'.
like before, ive got this feeling that he realizes i like him, though i cant confirm it as of yet. oh wateva la eh. the important thg is dat im thankful our paths crossed and dat i have him as a fren. even if sometimes i wish there could be something more..i'll always treasure the frenship more than fantasies.

as mentioned earlier, it's gonna be another half day for the sch. this totally sux man. why of all days do they have to have half day on the day i'll always finish at 12. -_-;;
item 4:
friday's gonna be the last day of the offer!! i do hope my dad and kak emma will sign up for maxonline asap. i need to have the desktop! kills 2 birds with 1 stone...

i fear i mite be getting forgetful...or perhaps its a sign trying to tell me to rest more...cant seem to remember if there's anythg else i missed out. keep having the feeling i left out something everytime i stare at my organiser and see certain days in the week completely empty. its very unsettling.

as many others go out to celebrate christmas...i stay at home to finally watch the movie puteri gunung ledang (PGL). filled with anxiety and excitement after waiting for months, was a bit disappointed at the pace of the movie. however, i did
not sleep unlike a certain somebody and soon i get to appreciate the story and marvel at the fighting scenes. and i simply loved the 3rd cd...where all the video clips, deleted scenes are found...
both Asmaradana and Bagaikan Sakti clips were entertaining to the max! haha...
M Nasir...my dad's fren's younger brother...did u guys notice that he's wearing boots when riding his horse?? so cute..haha
cant wait to watch it again sometime soon....
now the only other movies i reallie wanna watch are Veer-Zaara & Swades

Nht fundraising

22nd & 23rd Dec 2004.
was damn nervous on tueday nite...the nite before our first day of Nurhayat Fundraising...had to force myself to sleep to ensure i had enough energy to face the next day...
wat a start to the day! woke up an hr after my alarm rang! lucky still had time to get ready as per normal and try to reach sch asap. but seemed like not everyone cld haf made it at the agreed time anywayz. ;)
helped out as much as possible b4 having to rush off for ProE class...wld have skipped if it wasnt so impt..plus the fact that the lecturer's not reallie happy wif me for skipping last week...hee~
joined the rest during my short break and during lunch...heard that the event started later but...hopefully it wldnt affect the income too badly...
memorable events thruout the day:
- waffle batter ran out
- finished up one receipt book
- drank lots of blueberry drink
- ate lots of sandwiches
- kasma came over!
- relatively huge crowd watching the band performance
- and other personal moments
the next day...
met farah at dover...went to fc2 to take care of some stuffz...waited for my darling sis to take over b4 rushing off to mls to transfer the stuff frm MLS to FC2...
it was a tiring morning...add on to the lack of manpower...gd thg i had the whole morning off..
little did i noe that i wld end up skipping my only claz of the day. no regrets tho. the lecture was damn boring anyway. (as told by my 2 dear pals)
so, spent the whole day at fc2...was a great feeling...personally.
loved the band performance dat dae..was simply
shiok!
business was slower den at FC5 tho...but at least at the end of the day...everythg was quite alrite.

Clubroom Security [letter from SAA]
Recently, there were a number of break-ins at the student clubrooms in the Poly Centre. A number of items and cash were stolen.
We would like to remind all student clubs not to store any valuables, especially cash, in their clubrooms. Any equipment kept in the clubroom should be properly inventoried and kept under lock and key. Access to the clubroom keys should also be carefully controlled.
If you do come across any suspicious characters, please report them to your Officer-in-charge or Security at 67721746.

certainly wasnt a boring day...tiring but wth ryt...aiming to tire myself every day if possible. definitely need to purge my mind of tot's of him.
sharifah came over to do the flyers..haha, my mom panicked for awhile there..hah! friends hardly get to come over to my place to do work...rarely seh, almoz never..and its a nice feeling being able to 'spend time' with sch frens at ur own home...
flyer's all done and ready to be printed out...with only 1 prob..careless me forgot to save it into a .jpg file...now i cant open it up in sch..sux man!
niwae, the bazaar was okaay...
it wasnt as hype as the rehearsal..every1 waz kinda slacking..cldnt reallie be bothered wif it and not all the grps set up their stall..
surprisingly tho...Star Z managed to get 2nd place with 90 votes...while Dust Man won 1st place with 118 votes...
not all is right within the group...tension looms above them like an ominous cloud.
little thgs can make ur day brighter...if ur heart & mind allows it to...
he has certainly thought me that..for which im once again grateful.

Aniwae, its Taufik's birthday today, cant wait to see him perform again later tonite on Ikhlas, Suria : 8.30pm. a muz watch, not only for the performances, but also to support TAA.
rite now ngah waiting for my dear abg to arrive with his 'rombongan'...hehe my mum was commenting on how i can curi2 the time to go online..ahakz. it was either the computer or i stare into the deep abyss of the tv screen..i definitely prefer the internet. more thgs to do...like being satisfied with my template..haha
