Ebay

Well, baby Rose has had croup all week, which means no gym, no outings, no nothin'! I am about to go crazy! So instead of going insane, I made a quilt for E. His turned out really cute with his old shirts: his lizard onesie he wore as a little baby, his dinosaur shirt, his favorite "Mr. Grumpy" shirt from his Aunt Sara. He has a very special car blanket that his Grammy gave him when he was one that is so raggedy now. I was so glad to find a brand new one a year ago at "TJ Maxx" to replace the old one. I cut off a little of his old blanket (with his permission!) and put it in the quilt. (you can see it in the bottom right of the pict) Well, he flipped out and so I sewed up the cut end. All better, if not a little shorter than it was before.

It was so fun picking out fabrics with him at Wal-mart, uhh, not! He wanted bright neon spots, or those horible silk black and orange flame fabrics... ew! So, I just persuaded him to go with the cool BYU blue and plaid, plus a little camo never hurt! He has a few pockets from old pants on there too, which he loves to put trinkets in. Over all, this quilt took me 5 or 6 hours and kept me from getting major cabin fever. The lately neglected house has now been throughly sterilized today, so hopefully no one else will get sick!

And yes, Lils and E now sleep in the same room, though all of Lil's stuff is still in her own room. She just owns the air-space above E's bed in his room! We've been trying to get Lils and Rose to share the same room for a year. We tried everything to get them sleeping ok, but whenever Lils would go in or wake up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, the baby would wake up! So now the novelty of sleeping in the same room has worn off and Lils and E are doing great, thank goodness!

Remembering Quilt

I started and finished a fun project yesterday! I cut up a bunch of Lil's old t-shirts and made a quilt with them. I have her first Christmas sleeper, her favorite Ariel shirt she wore forever, her Chapel hill soccer jersey, some of a swaddling blanket, and a few other shirts, plus some of my old fabric that I had leftover from other projects. I cut 'em up, put them all together and then bought a $4 sheet from Wal-Mart! So it was a $4 quilt and it actually looks really fun! Though I am no perfectionist, I just like to get my projects done and done well. The stretchy t-shirts plus the non-stretching fabric was an interesting combo and hard to sew together. I told Dave that his Mom would probably have a heart attack if she saw the back of the quilt! :) She is an amazing quilter. I took this picture with my phone.

8 Years

(that's our "serious" face)

Happy Anniversary, Davey!

Dave and I have have been married for 8 years tomorrow! They have for sure been the best eight years of my life, love you Dave! Dave planned an amazing surprise anniversary trip that we took 2 weeks ago. We went to Lake Tahoe, ate at the most delicious restaurant, got a couples massage, stayed at a gorgeous resort and went white water rafting the next day! The rafting was so amazing! We are addicted now!

Don't Get Any Ideas!

I would just like to start out by saying, no I am not pregnant and I will not be for a very long time. Three is a lot right now! But for some reason Lils and E were talking about having another baby in the family today. I asked E what he would like a little brother's name to be and he gave me a few very good options: Train Tracks and Wookie. For a girl name he likes Telephone, Wookie, and Nikki.

Lils ideas were Thomas and Rintu. For a girl, she likes the name Lily, when I told her we can't have another Lily she said Rose, when I told her we already have a Rose, she said Cupcake, Sprinkles, and Rainbow... so some good ones to think about- all of you pregnant ladies out there!

Save the Date

I tried my luck at photography again for my bro-in-law, Jeff, and his fiance, Steph! We did a fun photo shoot and this is what we got! I am excited at how they turned out. Aren't Stephy's eyes amazing in some of these?

Sisters

When I found out that was going to have another baby girl (Rose) over a year ago I cried out of excitement- for mostly one reason- that Lils would have a sister! Is there anything more wonderful than having a sister? Sisters that listen, love, understand, don't pass judgment, show compassion, talk you through, keep you laughing, cry with you, really know you inside and out.

We didn't always get along. I remember a knock-down-punchin'-n-screamin' match with Cora when I swept over her foot with the broom while she was washing dishes after dinner! She said, "don't do that again" and I did. We were kicking and biting and screaming so bad all over the house for a good5/6 mins when all of a sudden we both just started howling with laughter! We laughed so hard we cried! Cora and I passed a notebook back and forth to eachother in High School with hilarious notes to eachother. Lorel and I shared a room most of our childhood and would talk to eachother late into the night. One night as I was laying, staring at the ceiling talking about what 11 year old girls talk about, Lorel snuck up beside my bed and scared me so bad, I didn't stop screaming until, like a few days ago! :)

I am just so grateful for my amazing sisters! We were all able to get together a few weekends ago- we laughed, we cried, we were HILARIOUS, and just silly. I love you so much Cora and Lorel! Wish you could've been with us Mama Bears!
