Goldilocks

Our New Ball of Furry Energy!

We finally got our dog! Her name is Goldilocks. She is a golden retriever and is sooooo hyper! But I guess that is expected from a 2 month old puppy. She is a really sweet girl and is very smart! House breaking is going great and she already knows "sit" and "go out side". Most of the kids like her but are still cautious of her. She is good with them except she still thinks that nipping is a game and they don't like that (who would blame them?). I have tried what the books say to do, with out success. I am starting to think that only time and patience will take care of this problem. Any suggestions on curbing the habit?

As you can see by this picture she is very active and it was hard to get a good picture of her.

Joseph & Charly

Joseph was laying on the couch and asked to hold Charly. It was so cute I just had to grab my camera!

Halloween

I was only able to get these pictures of Porter and Tabitha taken while we were out trick-or-treating. What a busy night! We went up to Jeni's sisters house for a Halloween party. It's really great to take the kids there because all of the houses are close together. They also have a lot of town houses, so that's even better.
Joseph and Porter were finally old enough to appreciate what the whole trick-or-treating thing is all about. They usually wouldn't say anything but they would climb the steps to the houses by themselves and eagerly await the deposit into their bucket and then hurry onto the next house. Over all it was a nice night, the weather was perfect.

Sweet Dreams

DADDY'S LITTLE ANGEL
Author: Jason A. Hodges

When you were born you filled my heart with pride, And I was overcome by the joy I felt inside. As I held you in my arms that very first day, I knew I would never let any harm come your way. With your tiny little hands and tiny little feet, Everytime I look at you my heart skips a beat. As I watch you sleep in the middle of the night, I hope and pray I will do everything right. I know I may make some mistakes along the way, But I promise to do my best not to every single day. I often wonder what you will grow up to be, But whatever you become will be fine with me. So whatever you may decide to do in your life, Maybe an astronaut, a lawyer, or even a doctor's wife. I can say this without any doubt at all, I will always be there to catch you if you fall. And another promise I make to you from me, Daddy's little angel you will always be.

Bath Time with Grandmother

All the kids were so excited to have Grandmother come out for a visit. Every one that is except for Charly.
No, actually I am sure she loved having her out, but just didn't enjoy the bath that grandmother gave her. She still doesn't really enjoy getting bathed no matter who does the bathing, unless she is taking a bath with mommy.
With how fast she is changing, I am sure she will be like a whole new baby the next time y'all are out here.

We love you Grandmother!

What a Big Yawn for Such a Little Girl!

It always amazes me how much babies can sleep and how tired they still are right after a nap. Especially in the first few months it seems like all they want to do is sleep.

One Month Old

Can you believe how fast time can go? It seems like just yesterday that Charly was born. She has already changed so much!

Blessing Day! 9/17/07

Bath time!

Abby, Porter and Alyson are watching Charly get a bath.

Joseph, Tabitha and Abby love their new baby!

Charly likes baths, & when she is done she smells so good!

Charly's trip to Kiddie Kandids

Charly and I went to the mall to Kiddie Kandids to get her first pictures done. They turned out so cute! I am glad I decided to venture out so soon because these pictures turned out better than I would have thought. They will last a life time and bring back fond memories of this special time in her life.
It took a while for us to get the pictures we wanted but we had fun anyway. All of the photographers had to come over to ooh and awe over her, you would think they had never seen a new baby before. The girl that helped us finalize the photos on the computer made the comment that she thought Charly was probably the prettiest baby she had ever seen.
After I came home, I was telling every one about what the girl had said, and Christopher jumped in and said "I'll bet they tell every one that". It was pretty funny.
