Feel like the 3 month long holidays have gone by in a flash. school is starting in exactly a week. am pretty much looking forward to it, and am hoping that this enthusiasm will last for the rest of the sem, and not just the starting only. been telling myself that since its year2, shouldnt pon any lessons and take things for granted. i'll try. promise i'll try my best.
so what happened to the holidays? haha, each time people ask me what i've been doing during the holidays, i do not know how to answer them. too many things? i don't know. but it just felt very busy.
well, started giving tuition to a group of primary 3 and primary 4 kids. enjoyed it, and am still enjoying it. Just that sometimes i have to shout at them, but nonetheless, i still love them and enjoy teaching them. they can be really amusing and the things that they share with me about school are quite funny. Hmm..but i still think that kids nowadays have so much pressure on them. School, tuition, parents. Some kids tell me that they have so much homework and their parents do not allow them to use the computer at all. sounds quite poor thing to me. still remember playing and going over to friends houses to play and stayover when i was in primary school. homework? what homework. haha. well, all i can do for them is to try to make lesson as fun and as relaxing as possible, while still trying to teach math.
started my driving lessons. been scary at first, but after awhile, it was quite ok. really want to be able to drive soon, because i realise the convenience of the skill and the car. soon i hope.
started working for uncle charles at the dental clinic regularly for every saturday. uncle charles is one who i can look up to and i've been learning alot from him. dealing with irresponsible people, with irritating people, and how he handles it. How he's so professional at work really inspires me. Being able to talk to him about life, about the future, about his kids, dentistry, how he started, about church. am really thankful for that. on top of that, he really takes very good care of me. making sure i'm ok, helping me deal with unreasonable patients, buying me food, making milo for me. am glad for the opportunity.
went for the YEP trip to cambodia. started with fundraising, planning, meeting, preproject, and the trip itself. valuable friendships were made, and one that i'll never ever forget. can't believe that we started out not knowing people in the whole team and now, we're so close. learnt so much from the whole project itself and am loving cambodia even more. if given the chance to go to bblc again, i'ld go. to see the kids, see how much they've grown. am loving the land, the people, the lifestyle, the culture even more.
on top of all these, been spending time with friends, catching up with them. also, spending time alone at home, quiet, by myself, and i enjoy it! being able to have the whole day to yourself, doing your own things, taking your own time, not having anybody to control you. shiok.
one more last weekend before school starts. (:
