MERDEKA YOUTH JAM TIME SQUARE!

Gosh! It has been like ages since i last updated my blog. Schedule has been pretty hectic lately with all the classes that are going on and events popping up here and there. I must say it's kinda tiring at times when you don't even have time to catch your breath! But with the support of my friends and my babe, it really helps! Thank you! So yea, since it has been ages i'll just blog about what happened last night. Tha Band finally came back after the beach bash to perform at the Merdeka Youth Jam at Time Square last night. This time, the band had 2 new addition. Dexter and Melvin. Dexter was on the accoustic as he was taking over the place of Kevin since he wasn't able to make it and Melvin is our new keyboardist! It is the band's first time playing with a keyboardist and we weren't too sure about what songs to choose that fits the keyboard. We got the news from Jazz pretty late. So, we had to do the songs we did previously with a little bit of changes and try not to make it as complicated as there is not much time to play around with. We finally chose "Check Yes Juliet" as we found the intro and the song was good and it suits the mood too. Second song choice was "This Love/Won't Go Home Without You" as we find the arrangement unique. The third song was a new song that everyone had to learn. It was "I Don't Wanna Be" by Gavin DeGraw. I love the songs! Especially Check Yes Juliet! Just can't get enough of that song! and now my babe is addicted to it too! lol... I had to work in the morning and headed over to Viv's place to fetch her after that. Was suppose to head over to UPR for the Street Market but due to time constrain we were unable to make it. We headed over to a studio located at Farlim and our band started practicing. Everything went well...Jay,Mel,Dex and Ariff headed back to work as Viv,myself and Ben headed over to Time Square to check out the Equipments prepared for us. It was then 7pm. Myself and babe headed over to the Ramadhan Market to "buka puasa"! You should see her face when she saw all of her favourite food!!! Happy to see her happy! :D So we had to wait for the muslims to buka only we were able to do so. But it was a good experience for us. It was then 8pm. Another 2 more hours and it would then be our turn! The others are still yet to arrive and during that time, i'm already starting to feel nervous and scared at the same time! There were alot of good bands present! Oceans of Fire were the main band that are most talked about by other bands! 8.30. and the members arrived. Had our band briefing and chilled out for awhile. Went to spend some time with my babe as i didn't get to spend much time with her as i was busy preparing for the performance. The next thing you know. It's already 10pm! We were telling each other, after them it's gonna be us! We were starting to feel it! The pressure! Butterflies in our stomachs! Darn! And the MC's announced our band name! THA BAND!!! (By the way the MC's were Bill and Yugen)We went out and started off our first song. Nobody knew the intro we were playing. Guess in their minds they're thinking "It's gonna be another boring performance". and the tune of Check Yes Juliet came in! The crowd cheered! They started singing to the song! That made us felt great! SEMANGAT MAN!!! The next thing you know, we were already at our last number! Time really flies when you're having fun on stage! So yea, it was the end. But then the crowd started cheering "One More! One More!" We looked at the MC's and wonder if we could. MC's said, go ahead! SWEET! We had to discuss among ourselves as we did not prepare any back up song! We didn't expect the crowd to ask for more. So we decided to do "I'm Yours" and the crowd enjoyed it! Overall it was an AWESOME performance! AWESOME crowd! AWESOME lightings! AWESOME songs! AWESOME SUPPORT! and last but not least! AWESOME BAND MEMBERS! Would like to thank JAY a.k.a MAESTRO, BENJI, MELVIN, DEXTER, ARIFF and GIAP SENG for making this happen! Had an AWESOME night! Finally, we stayed back for the countdown as we chilled at Roti Bakar to celebrate a great performance and fetched Viv home after that! It was an AWESOME night i must say! Guess that's it for now! Holidays are almost over. Am currently at Starbucks with Viv! The only way for me to go online nowadays! Been pretty busy with work. Running here and there. Apart from that, i've also got to spend time with loved ones and friends. Been out with Matt and Jay often. Hanging here and there. Out for movies with Viv and makan makan and more makan! :P Just had a farewell for our beloved Ruby! She's leaving!!! Gosh! Classes are starting soon! Am pretty much looking foward to the new sem and can't wait to see what is in store for me! Am enjoying every single moment of my hols! Till then! Tchao!

DISABLED!

A time to feel so disabled with so many things. Things that you can't achieve and you can't afford to carry out. You're just stuck, hanged and caught in between. Not being able to move your body right or left. It's really tough! But i thank you! for going through this stage with me! For being there with me! For being by my side every now and then! Thank you!

RANDOM...

Something that just got me thinking and got me asking myself. Why do some people always judge a book by it's cover? We comment, gossip and talk behind peoples back. Why? Is it human nature? Nobody is perfect. After all, we're only human beings. We're no GOD! So why still carry on being this way? Sometimes it's just sad. I admit, i do these kind of things too sometimes and i'm not proud of it. Why not for once be nice? Take the time to know people more and give people a chance? Everyone deserves a chance! It is so much better than being a bad person! :P

Back!

Am finally back from my blog break. It has been a pretty busy week for me. Ups and downs. Things that people do to tick me off and so on. Work has been pretty much occupying my time for the past few weeks. With tons of projects coming in and plenty of space to fill. Starting work tomorrow with my team and am currently cracking my head to find a replacement as one of the promoter couldn't make it last minute. Guess it's back to work. Till then. Tchao!

It's 3am now. Still awake. Not being able to sleep. INSOMNIA! As i said before. Not being myself. Not the happy me anymore! everything seems to be going the wrong directions now. Nobody knows how i feel. Being alone. Thinking more and more. Asking myself why? How come? What's going on? Praying to GOD. But there seems to be no answer. Things just happens. How fast things can change. Answers change. Reactions change. Emotions change. Things going from positive to negative. Wow! Anything and Everything can change within seconds! The move i'm making isn't the right one anymore. I'm just bad at this.

So here comes 2nd half of today. Morning just wans't my day. The second was so so i guess. Ups and downs. Was happy for certain reasons and not so with some others. oh well... Guess that's how it goes from now on. Wish it'd be better. All i can do now is to keep on appologizing. Which i think is not much of a help right now. Guess that's about it! 1st Half Of A Downhill Day...

Today is just like yesterday. Waking up at the wrong side of bed. Not being myself. pretty messed up. Being confused, not knowing what's going on. Not being able to sleep properly. Being treated coldly and all. Oh well... It's just 12pm. Still have another half a day to go. Not sure what is in store for me. Hope it changes today.

Just Not My Day...

Today is a day that i wish to not remember. Things just went wrong. Woke up this morning and kinda had the feeling that it's just not going to be my day. I was right! Even my lecturer could see that i wasn't being myself today. He said that i was being quiet and different, just not the usual me he sees. All i could do was just to give him a smile and tell him that i was alright. Had presentation later around 2pm. Was nervous and all. Went into class and our group was the first. I screwed up my part of the presentation and even the Q&A! Darn! Got a call from my boss and he told me that the company received complain from the client side regarding last week's roadshow! I was assigned to head over to the outlet to rectify the problem and to make sure everything was alright. So, after class, rushed over to the outlet to get the issue resolved. Tiring! Phone wasn't as busy as usual. It was just weird. Not being myself and all and with all these! Gosh! Headed over to my boss house after everything was done. Had a talk and dinner with him but just wasn't in the mood to do anything. Didn't really tlak much today and was pretty quiet. Weird.lol... Guess that's a good thing. Oh well... Tons of report to complete tonight. Another sleepless night! haih... Till then. Tchao!!!

Presentation...

Presentation starts in 2 hours time. Feeling pretty nervous right now. Always felt that way before presentations or any other events. Not much of being in the mood, Not sure why, guess i woke up at the wrong side of the bed this morning. Want to appologize to her again for what happened yesterday. Haven't been hearing much from her this morning. But oh well... Guess that's it for now. Till then. Tchao!

KDU Beach Bash 2009

3 days ago was CAPS very first Beach Bash held at KDU. Finally it's on! Everyone was pretty excited and looking foward to it! Especially the performers and the organizers! Friday was THE DAY! Time for everyone to give what they've got and what they've been practicing! The concert started abit late. Kicked off around 8pm. Was looking foward for her to go but then she couldn't make it. The surprise had to be changed and altered. But it was still on. Our band started off with the opening. Did our intro and then followed with Check Yes Juliet. Started off great and the crowd was happening too. Abit quiet at first but then after the intro of Check Yes Juliet was played, it was time to PARTY! We slowed things down with our second song titled Home by Chris Daughtry and well not many people know that song but we could see that people enjoyed it too. We decided to bring the atmosphere back again with our remix version of Maroon 5. Did This Love/Won't Go Home Without You. Everyone loved it! It was awesome and that was us for the first half. The band stayed on and the following performers came up. First up was Fern. She did Complicated by Avril Lavigne. It was nice! Next was Ben's turn. He did Time After Time the rock version by Quiet Drive and to end the first half of singing performances was Rachel. She did the all so popular Love Story by Taylor Swift. That was it for the first half. Just right after the song has ended Jay our lead guitarist broke one of his guitar string and man we were worried. Thinking on how we can go on with the show with just 2 guitarist left and we wouldn't want to sit anyone out! Everyone has practiced so hard and gave it their all! We're not gonna let one stupid broken string ruin the performance! So, i decided to drive Jay to gurney to get the strings. Dropped Jay off at Gurney while i went round looking for parking. We were rushing against time and Gurney just had to had a terrible jam at that time! Gosh! Finally found a spot and went up to meet him. He was fixing the string but then he had no money to pay!!! DAMN! Took out my card and the sales personnel told me that they do not accept card unless you purchase RM50 and above! I was like die la! No money! Jay called his bro and they came all the way from KDU. While waiting for his brother, Jay tunned his guitar and made sure it was in perfect shape to go back up on stage! Jay's brother finally came and paid and we had 10mins left till our turn. Rushed back but then the TRAFFIC! BAD! But thank goodness Erica came up with a plan and our performance was then pushed to 30mins later. Headed back to college and waited for our turn. This time was Cindy's turn to start off, she sang That's What You Get by Paramore. Started off abit off but then managed to pull herself back during the chorus! Nervous mah! Can't blame her. After Cindy was followed up by myself. Did a song from The Script titled Man Who Can't Be Moved! Love that song! After me was Jenny doing Love Song by Sara Bareilles. Everyone loved her voice. Did a good job up there. Then came my turn again. Did a song titled Dare You To Move by Switchfoot. This time we had a special guess up with us. Jeremy Yeoh! He wanted to play badly but then was shy. We got him up and well he did a GREAT job! Credits to him! Good job dude! To end the performance was Maya. She did a song titled Long Train Running. Not too sure by who but it was an up tempo song. The performance ended well. The dancers and break dancers were good too! They sure did their thing! Hope the band did theirs too! For those who were there that night. Hope you enjoyed it! Band Rehersal.

Yesterday was all about practice practice practice again! Woke up early in the morning to drop my mom to work and then headed over to Queensbay for job training. Later then, headed back to college for the concert rehersal. No idea why but the mood just wasn't in me. Feeling a bit down and all. We had to wait till 5.30pm to start the show as the other students were having their exams. Some of the vocalist and the band members were already there since 1pm. They were all pretty much exhausted and you could see they were just tired of waiting. I'm so sorry. I myself just wasn't myself at all. Being quiet and not wanting to talk much. Having thoughts in my mind again and my phone wasn't as busy as the day before with all the messages coming in. Yesterday was pretty quiet for me. Started the practice 5.30pm sharp with everyone taking turns to go on stage. I would say rehersal went pretty well. Everyone did good but of course there were a few hick up moments where the vocalists volume were turned down due to off pitch and all. A piece of advice, never shut the vocalists volume even if they run off pitch! But everything's cool now. We were chasing after time with only 2 hours to spare. Everyone wanted to go up and give it a shot and everyone did indeed. With the lead guitarist having stomach issues and exhausted, he still carried on. THANK YOU! Kevin my second guitarist was having problems with his hand but yet he managed to make it happen. With that i THANK YOU! Ariff who's having problems with songs and mixing them up managed to learn up all those songs and minimized the mistakes last night! You did great dude! THANK YOU! Then we have Blonde who was abit lost at the start but now he's doing great! Thanks man! Last but not least would be Benjo Singh, we were not able ot practice with him at all and this is considered like the second practice with him and i must say, he was AMAZING! THANK YOU for hanging in there macha! Not to forget, the vocalists too! Cindy, Rachel, Ben, Fern, Jenny and Maya! You guys were GREAT! Bring the house down tonight aite! :) After 7pm the band and i decided to go on with our practice as we weren't that ocnfident with the songs yet, so we headed up to the drama room to continue practicing. Ben went out to get us burgers as we were all feeling hungry. Took him about an hour to come back. Couldn't blame him though cause the orders was like 11burgers and 1hotdog! so yea, that's why. Continued practicing again and i managed to finish mine too. Just that i was there but my heart and mind just wasn't. It was like it's wondering in some other place but just not in the drama room where we were practicing. Keeping quiet the whole time but just had to smile for the camera when it was pointed at me. No nice to not smile right? lol... Headed back about 10.30pm. Pretty late and feeling exhausted! Headed home, showered, laid on the bed to do some thinking and managed to sms with her for awhile. She had to go to bed and i was about to in a couple of minutes time. So yea, that was all yesterday. Guess that's it for now. Till then. Tchao!
