I'm back from my very wintery vacay to the mountains of North Carolina and wow was it cold!!!!
We took a couple of days to go and poke around on the mountainside and look into maybe buying a little mountain chalet or cabin. The hubby has also been building a new recording studio up there and he needed to put some finishing touches on his new place so the music could start flowing.
I wanted to show you some places we looked at that were just breathtakingly gorgeous. Keep in mind, these pictures convey a very long and harsh winter that the area is coming out of, but I always tend to see the beauty in everything that Mother Nature bestows upon us...
This was a place in the Smoky Mountains we looked at. It was the coldest part of the area with a foot of snow on the ground and more coming down. I loved it!!! It felt like I was inside a real life snow globe, a very magical place....
this was the cabin in the snow's front porch.. how sweet is this...
...here was another place we saw, with the most panoramic views ever! One of the mountains in the view is the infamous "Cold Mountain" and yes, I am talking of the one from the movie...
here is a little quaint chalet we looked at with a really high elevation...
...and my personal favorite, (and way over-priced, of course) was this neat cabin on the most beautiful 1/2 acre of land with stunning mountain views and your own personal stream...
...some pictures of my husband in his newly finished studio...
...now it's time to make some music!!!
I also got to go antiquing and found some beautiful buckles...
...amazing buttons...
...gorgeous old earrings...
...awesome old cameos...
...and beautiful old religious pieces...
...and I really lucked up on some beautiful Victorian lace and fabric for my upcoming cuffs...
...I couldn't resist this vintage fur from an old coat. It will be perfect for next Fall and Winter's cuff line I will be making...
...and last but not least...this had to go home with me...
...a neat old, old ostrich feather and beaver chapeau. LOVE! LOVE!
Happy Easter my friends!
May every one's day be filled with blessings and joy!
