San Antonio and Beaumont

For Father's Day weekend, I was lucky enough to see both my father-in-law AND my dad! It wasn't planned originally, but it worked out great. The Texas Palmers took a weekend off to relax in San Antonio. On the drive down, we stopped in good ol' Gruene, Texas for a delicious lunch at The Gristmill. It was old and cabin-like and right on the river.
Check out the size of these onion rings. Now those are TEXAS size... and DELISH.

I was a little worried about the heat factor in San Antonio, but the family was very nice to make sure we didn't hang out in the sun all day. The riverwalk wasn't too hot, and we were a very short walk to the mall and the Alamo.
Here we are on our nice, relaxing ride on the river.

One thing we definitely had was good Mexican food. I think we ate Mexican for 4 straight meals. I mean, you're in San Antonio, right? Why not? Little girl will probably come out wanting chips and dip.

At nighttime, we walked by the Alamo, and I think that was the best time to go. I loved the dramatic lights.

Turns out, the Alamo isn't as big as you think it would be, but it was still a very cool building to see. The next day, we heard the story of the Alamo, but I couldn't tell you much because I got a little dizzy and such. Either way, I will remember the Alamo.

The other place we strolled through was El Mercado, another strip of little stores and restaurants. We had a delicious, festive breakfast at one of the restaurants there for Father's Day.

Then on our way back, they dropped me off in Waco to drive to Beaumont with Nat and her kids. Nat was going to have a surgery there, so I went to help with the little muchkins.
Luckily, the surgery went well, and Mom and I survived taking care of the kiddos. =)
I got to spend more time with their newest addition to the family, Ty, and I just love him! He's the sweetest baby and doesn't stop smiling.
We all swam, read, played, dressed up, danced, and picked some corn.

Here's the corn from my parents' garden. Bella started munching on it immediately.

Little Ty guy loved all the entertainment, and he even got himself worked up enough to roll over.

How cute is that little bundle?

And now I'm back with my man, and I love that too!

Here SHE Comes...

Today was our sonogram! We've been anxiously (not patiently) waiting for Wednesday morning for awhile now! The only other sonogram I've had was when I first went into the doctor to see how far along I was... which was 7 weeks. At that point, our little baby was just a heartbeat. So, this was REALLY exciting to see a decent sized baby in there! James was able to come, and it was awesome. At first I only saw 1 leg, but she ended up showing us all of her appendages, heart, kidneys, bladder, brain, and the cutest little feet ever. She even brought those feet to her face and played with them. There was a little yawning, rubbing of eyes, rolling over, and drinking. We loved watching her move around. We got a few views of the legs, etc., and there was no sign of a boy. It was a cute, little, active, GIRL!
Currently, we have no name ideas, so we'll have to work on that. Knowing me, I'll need the whole other half of the pregnancy to decide.

Here's our sweet little girl and her cute profile:

Here I am at 20 weeks with my little girl:

James says she'll be Daddy's little girl, and I'm not going to argue that. I'm sure she'll LOVE him. What little girl doesn't?
