Oh the fun you can have with pajamas...

You may be wondering if this is some new form of babysitting technique, torture, or punishment. If you thought the first, you were correct. Try putting the pajama bottoms on the top, it makes for great fun. Yes, they are clean bottoms, the dirty ones we use for punishment. :)
Peek a boo

7 Teeth and 3 months til thanksgiving!

Yes, she did walk into the wall a few times, but hey...everybody's gotta learn sometime. Some lessons you gotta learn for yourself. Ouch

Trip to Utah

We went to Utah for Pioneer day... and just a vacation. It was a lot of fun! We got to spend time with Kyles family and my family, it was a great trip! Here are some pictures, but they're all out of order... sorry.

Spencer at International Days in Price, going down a water slide thing. He loved it.

Spencer after going on all the water rides.

The family went swimming at a pool in Helper. Some of us got fried and are now recovering from the blisters and peeling skin.... ouch!
My dad at the pool.

Spencer spraying Grandpa. Spencer loved all of the fun stuff at the pool.

Carly and grandma at the International days Parade. Our second parade in a week!
Spencer and Grandpa at the parade too.

We went to Lagoon one of the days and had a lot of fun! Thanks to Katie for watching Carly so that we could just take Spencer. And thanks to Grandma for coming so that me and Kyle could go on the big rides...
Us waiting in line for the Log ride.
Spencer got to ride a horse in Spring Glen. He loved it, especially after attending the Rodeo a few days before.
Even Carly got in on the fun.

Spencer caught many a fish with Grandpa

So, Carly is a big eater! She eats more than Spencer does most of the time. This is my rodeo burger and I only had one bite of it. Carly devoured it!
The Hinckley parade was so much fun! Spencer got a TON of candy! I've never seen so much candy thrown in a parade in my life! We will have it for the rest of the year!
Katie, Spencer, Kelli, and Matt riding in the back of the truck after the parade.

The Christensen side of the family after the parade, playing some football. It was fun to see everyone!
Us at Lagoon again. This was the only ride that Spencer didn't really like. It shoots you up fast and then drops you down fast...

Spencer on the LONG ride up to Utah. Thank goodness for movies!

We went to Fishlake one day and threw rocks in the water and walked around. It was fun to go up there again. Lots of fun memories at Fish Lake!
Carly walking all around the shore.
Playing some football on the shore.
Us at the Hinckley Rodeo. It rained at first, but then stopped so we could enjoy the rodeo. We had a lot of fun. Spencer did the money calf and really wanted to do the mutton bustin'. I told him maybe next year.

"take me out to the ballgame..."

We had a great time at the Isotopes Park for the Triple A all-star baseball game. We enjoyed free all-you-can-eat food and sodas. Spencer especially liked the free sprite and drank his share of them. We figured that he might as well enjoy it since it was free.

Spencer, Carly and Michelle before the game.
Tommy Lasorda is the guy in the middle with a blue shirt. He threw out the first pitch.
Spencer showing us his muscles.
Believe it or not.... I did catch a foul ball. It was really cool. The hitter fouled it back and I stood up and caught it with my bare hand. The crowd cheered as I showed off the ball. After we sat down, Spencer asked if he could throw it back on the field because "it wasn't our ball". I told him that I'm making an expection today. My ball!!!
This is a pic inside the New Mexico Orthopaedics suite. Since we are the team docs for the games, they give a very nice suite to enjoy.

All-star fever is in the air....

I was able to get some tickets through my work for the upcoming Triple A All-star baseball weekend. We were able to attend the fan-fest activity on saturday. It was fun. Monday is the home run derby and then on wednesday is the all-star game. The game is on ESPN if you want to watch. Maybe we'll paint our chests and have blue mohawks.

If you look real close, spencer is going down the slide on the left. He's just not going down the conventional way. But really, what fun would that be.

This is Orbit, the mascot for the Albuquerque Isotopes baseball team.

Can you see the blazing Christensen speed?

What about that speed? The pic is a little blurry cause I was running so fast.

Spencer loved hitting the balls on the tee. He did really good.

This was fun, but i needed more practice.

A few more steps toward bipedalism.

Almost 15 months old and finally showing signs of being a two legged mammal.

Carly is finally walking, somewhat. (with help).

We love when she says Hi at the end of this video.

Splish Splash!

So we've had a great couple of weeks. The weather has been really warm so we've been having fun outside. These are pictures of a barbecue we had. All the kids slip-n-slided and played in a kiddie pool. It kept them so entertained that the parents could actually sit around and have conversations! It was amazing. :)
Also Spencer has had swimming lessons, so there are pictures of that.

Luke and Spencer drying off so they could start round two of slipping and sliding....
Some of the kids running on the slip-n-slide

Spencer having fun.

Spencer at the pool for swimming lessons. Whenever I ask him to smile, he does some weird pose like this.

Spencers class.

The barbecue again. The pictures got out of order for some reason.

The adults conversing...

(Notice my pretty flowers mom?)

And of course Carly was excited to swim too...until she got in the water and got splashed. Then she didn't want anything to do with it.

Utah Trip

We went to Utah for Memorial weekend. We endured the LONG drive up, but we did have our new mini van, so that helped! We went to see Katie graduate from highschool. It was a fun trip- so here are some pictures.

Carly just crawling on the floor at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Spencer and Porter love books! It was nice to have grandparents who would read to them so that the parents got a break from it! :)

Spencer loved playing with his cousin Porter.

Carly, Grandma, and Grandpa enjoying the nice weather.

Carly after church. See her newest tooth?

The graduate... Hello- can you get any more honor cords? Nope, Katie got every one! She makes the rest of us look bad!
The siblings... and Grandpa
The kids were NOT happy to pose with the graduate.

Just playing in the water
Some more reading.
