P365

Spencer has discovered the trainer and how to hook up his bike.

We went on our annual trip to Hinckley/Delta for the 24th of July. We decided to go swimming before the rodeo and we were trying out our new waterproof camera.

We went to the Hinckley parade where candy covers the streets. This is Parker walking away from the parade with his stash.

We made a trip up to Fishlake today after church with Kyle's parents and the kids.

We went on a bike ride to Big Rock Candy Mountain today. It was a perfect day for it- overcast and just fun!

After trek and our little vacation, we came home to a TON of weeds in our garden. Guess that's what happens when you don't weed for a couple of weeks. I'm about 2/3 of the way done weeding and have been pulling a bunch of those things this week.

Someone is 3! We had a fun day filled with presents, going to the theatre to see Winnie the Pooh, and a little BBQ with dessert being his favorite chocolate cake that I tried to make look like a crocodile (even though it ended up looking more like a salamander).

These little quails were in our backyard. The kids and I just watched them forever as they tried to get out. The kids loved seeing those little babies.

Family trip up to Park City to do our back-to-school shopping. We shopped til we almost dropped, went to a fun place to eat and then we rode the Alpine Slides.... and I forgot my camera! What was I thinking?

Our neighborhood had a bike parade for the kids. We all met at someone's house and decorated the bikes. They even had someone making balloon animals there. Then they had some vintage cars/trucks lead the way and the kids followed. We all met for snow cones afterwards. It was such a fun morning!

Summer Mishmash

Just a bunch of pictures from our summer so far:

After we were done being in the Independance Day Parade, we were walking through the park and Spencer wanted me to take a picture of the almost flooding river.

We have completely enjoyed the now legal fireworks this year. Look at that huge firework Aaron brought. It didn't disappoint.

The kids loved the fireworks. Just not the loud noises apparently.

Fun times on the fourth.

Roasting marshmellows with the cousins.

Smores are so good!

Fun times in the hammock up in the canyon.

Canyon cooking and picnicking.

Parkers first Father and Sons campout.

Getting ready for some hiking.

Seven Peaks fun.

Getting out of the rain as best we could during the Manti Pageant. (Parker is under the brown blanket)

Self portrait by the Great Salt Lake.

Swimming in the Salt Lake.

Salt Lake fun.

Cute kid on the beach.

A mohawk for summer? Or just having fun getting a buzz cut?

Mountain biking and hiking in Price.

And just ending this post with one of my favorite summer pictures.

Today is day 4 of antibiotics for poor Spencer who has pneumonia. Don't ask me how he got pneumonia in the middle of July, but he did. And thank goodness he's getting better!

Just some of my harvest of peas from our garden. YUM!

The kids are loving our raspberry bushes in our yard. They sneak back there every chance they can and pick to their hearts content.

Carly threw a major tantrum tonight- her all-time worse. She screamed and screamed herself to sleep.

Today was the first day of our stake pioneer trek for the youth of our church. We pulled these handcarts for almost 4 miles today to our camp.

A picture of some of the trekking youth. Today was a HARD day- lots of steep, rocky mountains we climbed, but we had fun!

We slept under the stars and when I woke up this morning, there was frost on my head and my pillow- can you see it? It's hard to see in this picture, but I promise it's there!

Love a Sunday at home with my family.

At Family Home Evening tonight, Spencer was helping Parker say the prayer. I thought it was so dang cute, I had to take a picture.

A mini reunion with some old roommates from college. They had a reunion while I was gone on trek, but these two were game for a little meeting at the park with all of our kids. It has been many years and it was so good to see them!!!

A sweet moment in between all the not so sweet moments of fighting and teasing- I just had to take a picture. Spencer was trying to teach Carly how to play a duet on the piano AND he was being patient and nice! And Carly wasn't teasing him! Definitely picture worthy!

On my trip to the grocery store today, my car died. We JUST got a new battery the day before because the van died on me a few times going to girls camp. We tried to jump it again and it still didn't start. So this is a picture of our dead van that we just got towed back to our house and Kyle talking to our mechanic neighbor who was trying to help us. Dang thing.

What a fun day today! After church we went up the canyon and had dinner with family. Then we all met at our house for a fireworks extravaganza and homemade ice cream. We had neighbors stop by to watch and we all loved the big, now-legal fireworks! :)

Spencer and I were in the parade today for Independence Day.

Tonight, we waited until the kids were in bed and used our leftover ingredients for homemade ice cream and we made ourselves some of the yummy stuff.

One of our Independence Day traditions is making this red, white, and blue drink. I bought a little extra and so we've been making it for the past few days.

Carly and her friend decided to put makeup on Lady- see it on top of her head? Poor dog.

Our bucket list is starting to get filled up with X's of things we've done!

The kids with their lemonade stand (and cookie stand). We had a yard sale with our sisters and it was a success! But the kids made more money with their stand than we did from the yard sale, can you believe that?! Of course they were excited.
