Chunka Chunka

Parker had his two month appointment this morning. Look at how much he's grown!
He weighs 13 lbs 7 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long...
I love me a chunky baby!

Smiling, dancing, and Smelling their dairy air

Will the readers of our fabulous blog help us out and clip box tops? Then send them to us in the mail by Oct 23? If Spencer's class collects the most then they get a pizza party. Thanks!

*UPDate: The date that we need them is Nov 14 now. Thanks

Okay, on with the blog. Here is Parker smiling. Yay for smiles, they help make the long nights worth it.

Our little dancer. She posed like this by herself. This is a tutu that I made for her and she didn't want anything to do with it for the first week, then all of a sudden she loves it. Phew... all that work DIDN'T go to waste.

We went to the State Fair last week. How about those corn dogs? The state fair was not as much fun as last year. It was like walking onto a Jerry Springer episode... (isn't that the case with ALL fairs?) but this year seemed worse than usual. At the horse track this guy with no nose came right next to us and lit up a cigarrette, right next to Parker none-the-less. HELLO! I don't want to get cancer from you and end up being noseless like you, you yucky, yucky man... some people! Sheesh. By the end of the night, we had had our fill of stinky people, dirty rides, walking STD's, emotional kids, 13 year old gang bangers, lesbians, carnies yelling at us to play their games, 3 dollar sodas, and the list goes on...

Luckily the kids were oblivious and had a lot of fun! Thankfully Balloon Fiesta is coming up and it never dissappoints.

Camping Christensen Style

So on Friday we went "camping" with some good friends. Okay, so we really only spent the day up there while our friends really did go camping. We just didn't think it would work out as well for us with a new baby. So we went up early afternoon and came home late that night. The kids had fun and it was nice to sleep in our own beds :)

This is a pic of where we were at... the Jemez mountains. Doesn't it look a lot like the West mountain where we grew up? I thought so.

Me and Parker just chillin by the fire.

There was marshamellow roasting and smore making... Spencer didn't want me to take a picture- can you tell?

Parker camping.

We camped by a little creek and the kids had so much fun swimming in it!

Carly ate 3 hotdogs for dinner! You can see the leftovers on her face.

All the kids had so much fun running around, catching bugs, playing soccer, throwing rocks, and eating junk food.

Blessings

We've had a fun and busy last week. Here's an update:

This is Parker. Cute huh? See he's getting a nice double chin... taking after his mom I see.

The kids all want to sit on their dad's lap, it works... for now.

Spencer started his season of soccer yesterday. Kyle got roped into coaching... the game was a lot of fun for Spencer... not so much for Kyle :)

We blessed Parker last weekend. Here's a family pic we took before church.

Carly looks a little like Elton John.

The crew, minus a couple of newlyweds, that came to the blessing. We are glad that everyone could make it! Thanks for the support, it means a lot!

Parker wouldn't cooperate for a pic in his blessing outfit. It's the same outfit that Kyle wore when he got blessed, and Spencer wore a few years ago. This is the best picture we got.

Tis the season to hate BYU: Friends don't let friends cheer for BYU

BYU better get ready to be trampled. The Utes will be triumphant on Nov. 22. I hope you like the taste of grassy cleats. Yum. BYU fans are probably excited about their most recent win against a division II team who barely qualifies as better than a high school. Good job.

Here's to a great season of college football. Just for the record, we hate BYU!
