It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.....

We decided that we needed to show Spencer what carving pumpkins was all about. We bought 2 pumpkins and went to town. Spencer loved digging out the "guts". We then attempted to mutilate the pumpkins and they actually turned out looking pretty much like we had planned.

Spencer kept asking for a knife so we finally just gave him a dull screwdriver and had him help poke the carved pieces through to the other side. He still somehow managed to smash his finger. He was ok though...

Just the 3 of us. ( it was too late for Carly.)
I already know what you are thinking.....amazing huh?
We have been thinking about going into the pumpkin carving business.
Here is the finished product. Spencer was fasinated by the whole process and he loved blowing out the candles. I sure hope they last until Halloween......

Kelli's Wedding

We just got back from Utah after attending Kelli's wedding. It was fun to see family and get to spend some time with them. It was a short trip, but we're glad we went. It's always nice to be home and sleep in your own bed though. And the airlines finally found our luggage, so everything is getting back to normal.

Hiking and stuff...

Kyle got off of work early Friday so we decided to head up the Sandia Mountains for a fun little trip. We hiked around a little bit and had some snow fights. (Spencer loved throwing snowballs.)
Anyway, it was fun to just go do something.
Kyle and Spencer braved the hike up high, while me and Carly stayed down below.
Doesn't she look so funny? Gotta love the headband

Fun Times

Well, we are moved in mostly. We love our house! Anyway, just wanted to share some pictures.

This is Katie (on the right), Kyle's sister. She took first place in the state championship for Tennis doubles. We are really excited for her and proud of her. Now she starts basketball season where she is the starting point guard. (She's awesome at basketball too!)

And this is the sport of naked bed jumping. Spencer is already a champion at it!

Kyle and Spencer had a boys night out last night and went to the UNM vs Wyoming football game. Spencer loved it! They had hotdogs, watched fireworks, and Spencer loved dancing to the band.

We went to a pizza place here called Dions and had a tour of it for Spencer's preschool. He got to say his name over the intercom, helped make pizza, and got this free t-shirt. His favorite part of the whole thing was watching the men throw the pizza dough in the air.

Spencer loves our new backyard.

Just a picture of the football game. The Lobo's lost, but we don't really like them anyway, so it's okay. (Go Utes!)
