He did it again!

This is TC's "really mom, your taking ANOTHER picture?!" face.
I wasn't so great about posting when he got his cast off of his LEFT arm 1 month ago! But yesterday he fell (Note: TC in background saying "mom! I was pushed!) during PE. A few of the kids were messing around and one kid shoved into him and he fell and broke the RIGHT arm.

WHAT?!

2 broken arms in 3 months. oh-dear! This cast is so much bigger because of where the break is. It is in his lower arm near the wrist and it is only one bone. No straightening needed (thank goodness!) but it hurts him to twist his arm (think of twisting like opening a door) and because that requires your whole arm it has to me immobilized clear up past the elbow.

Another good bit of news is it will only require this big cast for 3 weeks, then it will be determined if he will be in a brace for another 2 weeks or a short cast for another 2 weeks.

Maybe bubble wrap for the kid?

Six Flags!

American Eagle had a Six Flags day and we decided to go. It really was a lot of fun! We had some very good friends come with us. We played and played and played some more! I tried to get the camera out and take a lot of pictures, but I was busy riding rides and dealing with kids so.....you can see how well that worked out...

Toward the end we rode the Carousel it was nice and slow so I managed to get a few single pics of the boys:

Todd took the Titus and Tate on a couple of the big rides (that mom would not go on and was glad to have Tanner and Tobyn as the excuse to not ride).

This is the one group shot that I was able to get. Right at the beginning, just as we are getting going :-)

Not sure why not everyone is smiling. lol! I think the kids were just playing and super excited to get going, not wanting their picture taken. Believe it or not, TC was there we also took his friend with us. Because they are near teenagers and not really wanting to hang out with a bunch of "little" kids they went off on their own. I can't believe he's old enough to do that! It's hard to imagine that in a few years I will have several children doing that! TC and his friend were good, we just checked in via cell phone every now and then. I think TC told me they rode the Aquaman 14 time (13 times too many for me!)

We loved it so much (and because we could get them for SUPER cheap) we are now season pass holders. I am pretty sure we will spend a lot of time there!

Easter

Oh man where do I start?! We really had a good Easter. We started the holiday by decorating Easter Eggs. The younger boys were looking forward to it. I didn't do as fancy as I did last year. Just used a typical egg-dying kit. Gabby (from up the street) joined in on the fun.

The Saturday before Easter the kids and I were invited to an Easter Egg Egg-straviganza in prosper by the Hurds. It was a fun day. I was a little worried about going with out Todd but the it was enclosed space and the kids just played and played!

They got their faces painted, got to pet some animals (mostly a baby goat and some bunnies), participate in the egg pick up (there really was no "hunt" about it), and hang out with some good friends we haven't seen in a while.

Tobyn as a dog.

Titus hanging out with a couple of the Hurd boys.

TC. It's really hard to get a good picture of him these days. He never holds still!
Tate, me hardy, argg.

Tanner. Getting ready for the fun. He wouldn't go the first time. Until he saw how it was done by his older brothers and then he couldn't get enough :-)

Tobyn petting the animals.

On your mark, get set, GO!

Some of the crowd. Really that is about all the people there were there. It wasn't too crowded and we are glad we went.

Getting ready for the bounce-house.
We really had a great day. I was sad that I never managed to get a picture of all of us in our Easter get-up. The boys sure look handsome and all grown up in their colored shirts and ties! I love this time of year. After a long winter it is always nice to see the sun. Just like this time of year symbolizes.

Awards and Puppies!

This amazing kid ^ received an awesome award the other day. Each 9th? week the kids have an assembly for their grade and this time Tate received the Principal Choice Award!!! He has done AMAZING in school this year. He has worked SO hard to get his grades up and get caught up to grade level. He works super hard and with wonderful help from his teacher and tutoring he has made leaps and bounds. His teacher has had nothing but wonderful things to say about him and we are super proud of the progress he has made!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another fun thing that has happened is Max's little "girlfriend," Scruffy, had puppies last night. 3 tiny little things. 2 little brown ones and a little black one. All girls. We are going to get one. I walked down to see the new mam ma and her babies. I took some pictures.

The little brown one the arrow is pointing to is the one we chose, I was leaning toward the black one until I found out they had already promised that one away (?!) So I quickly put my claim in. I think we will call her Sassy.

Probably SUPER crazy for bringing in another puppy, but SO cute and a little piece of Max. How could you pass that up?

Tuesday Tid-bit

It is the first day of SPRING and it is showing around here! The weather for spring break was beautiful! I could not have asked for nicer weather. It stayed between 70-80* the whole week. We have a little sand pit in our backyard and if anyone knows my boys they know they will dig in that sand pit all day if I let them.

The pictures can do most of the talking. Spring that has sprung:

This weekend, actually over night, we got a TON of rain! The creek that runs behind our house sure filled up fast! Todd and I are guessing the water is about 4' or more deep. This is the same little creek that the boys play in all the time, catch frogs in, and Todd Tanner and I went exploring in.
The pipe that Todd, Max, and Tanner stood on when I took their picture in October. The water will go down quickly and the kids are not allowed to play in it right now. (Just so Grandmas know ;-) )With spring comes the crazy storm season. Last year was crazy so we'll see how this year goes. So many people have said they have lived here for YEARS and have never seen a tornado or been overly worried about the weather...I guess they didn't get/see the hail from last March. I don't mind though. I am getting more and more used to the crazy Texas weather!
Happy Spring!!
