Christmas Morning

Like clock work...............
Charlotte, the human alarm clock!...........
No matter how hard she parties the night before she will still wake up at 6:30 in the morning!

The process of Charlotte opening one present!
rip just a piece........
 just a little more..........
rip ohhh so delicately.....
rip a big piece.......
forget unwraping it..... i will just play with it now.....
 look its a momma!
finally the paper is all off....... now i need to get this van on the road.
No! I do not need help off the couch.
 Vroooom...... Vroom...........
She made car noises all the way down the hallway.  If that was the only present we got her she would have been ok with it.  We had to call her back into the front room so she could open the rest!
She is showing Chris her cool winter jacket!
Little soccer girl to add to her collection of people.

And for the best gift of all............ her pink computer!!!!!!!!!!
 WOW!
she was so excited when Chris unwrapped it!
 CHEEEESE!

 beanie buddies
She definitely looks like her dad!

 Merry Christmas........ and good night!
She was so tired after this long morning.........
She took an early nap around 10.

Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve Chris and I decided to attend church before we headed over to my parents house for tamale dinner.  We went to the children's mass at 4pm and thoroughly enjoyed it. Charlotte was so good during mass. She loved the reenactment of the manger scene. Im pretty sure she was thinking, "this is just like my 'little people'!  My mom, dad, patrick, and sara also came to church with us.  It was really nice to have family in the aisle with us!
So right after church we got into the car and headed to my parents for good ol' tamales.  Boy were they delish! Like Always! At grandma and grandpa CC got to play with her present.  She absolutely loved it.  Her little tykes playhouse will keep her entertained for years!
She thought she was so cool walking in and out of her house..... making sure she shut the door every time.

Of course she had to talk on the phone!
CC played all night in her house.  It was so entertaining watching her play in it. You could just see her imagination working!

Santa's sleigh landed at our house around 11:40.
He left our presents all nicely organized for the morning.

Christmas in Griffith Park

On Sunday, we went to Griffith Park to ride the train and carousel.  We have been wanting to do this for a while so we packed up the car and headed down to LA.
Chris and CC waiting for the train ride.
Charlotte was way to interested in nature than taking a picture.
She was telling Nana, Chris, and I about the trees and squirrels.

Charlotte loves riding the carousel.

Miss Independent!
Wants to do everything by herself.
Even if that means walking up a huge hill.  She was grunting the whole time!  But Im sure it tired her out.

Stranger Anxiety

When we went to Disneyland a few weeks ago Charlotte did not like Santa. While we were waiting in line, Charlotte kept repeating, " aaaa...nooooooo" and shaking her head. It was the funniest thing ever.  Of course we tortured our child and made her sit next to Santa. I kept trying to tell her Santa was nice, but she didn't care! She had a death grip on COCO the monkey and wanted to get the heck out of there.

 I was laughing so hard..........

She was a little unsure of Pluto...... But ended up saying hi and blowing kisses!
Since this experience with Santa we have been talking with her and when you ask Charlotte if she wants to see Santa, she nods her head and says, "yea!"
I'll Keep You Posted!........

First Haircut

Charlotte was rockn' a baby mullet.......... it was time for her to get a little hair cut!

So when Sam was in town last weekend I had her cut CC's hair.  She actually was really good and let Aunt Sam cut her hair.  The only thing she didn't like was when Sam turned on the hair dryer!

Look how straight and cute it looks!
Seriously, since her little hair cut I think her hair has grown.  It might be wishful thinking but I think the hair follicles decided it was time to start growing on CC's head!

Silly Girl

Charlotte is obsessed my grandma's reading glasses. So the other day my mom popped the lens out of her old glasses and gave them to CC.  Oh man was she in heaven! She never took the glasses off.  When they would fall down her nose she would push them back up with her little finger. She continues to wear her glasses everywhere in the house. When she doesn't want them on her nose, she puts them on the top of her head just like grandma!  Charlotte is seriously the silliest girl. I can't believe all the little details she picks up from everyone around her.

Our Scary Little Vampire

This year for Halloween Charlotte was a vampire.  I was actually the worst mom ever because this costume was thought of 2 days before Halloween.  I wanted her to be a ghost, but I never got around to making the costume I saw on a website.   So I asked Theresa if she could make a vampire cape.  I already had black pants and white onsie. The cape came out better than i could have imagined!  It was totally cute. Thanks Nana!

"moma, im gonna suck your blood"

I Know.... Its Been a Long Time

Well since my last post a lot of things have happened.
1st: Chris and I are expecting another little smith around April 5th.
2nd: I started back to work, Chris began his last year of college.
3rd: CC turned the big 1!
4th: CC started walking!
CC at Disneyland a few days before her 1st birthday.

So On Saturday Chris, Charlotte, and I went to the Pumpkin Patch in Yuciapia.  Charlotte was so funny walking through the vines searching for her pumpkin.  She was in heaven because she thought it was just a field of orange balls!  Every pumpkin she pointed at was, "Ba... Ba"

Just searching for her pumpkin!
 Found It!
CC is actually saying "cheese" as Chris snapped this photo!
The wheelbarrow was way more fun to ride in than her stroller.

I seriously clicked the camera at the right time.  Her facial expressions fit both the pictures perfectly!
ummmmm..... can i eat this?
