the heat is gone?

not too sure why but my stomach doesnt seem to be adjusting quite very well upon returning here. tis getting weak i tell you. could be the water. or could be the chilli i took during lunch (which would be terrible news indeed - chilli crabs i absolutely love so i can just die). anyways the result was not knowing what to cook for dinner. heh. :P

luckily the shups n wayne are easy-going ppl... erm.. well most of the time at least ;) so pasta we had. i have to get 'stronger' soon! rawrrrr... :)

need. more. pictures. =/

27 February 2006

oh sunny day.

day one. still havent gotten into the groove of things yet. and even tho its only lectures this week. the heat made doing anything and everything seem so so hard. all i wanted to do was to lay in bed and rest the day away while hoping for the night to be a cool one. :P
after two lectures from 9am it was off to broadway to get some grocery shopping done, and at the same time have lunch. only pretty decent food at horrifying prices. such is the life of one away from homey singapore. the decision no to buy texts from home also seemed pretty bad now considering the same books cost twice over here, in aud no less. kill me. late afternoon it was off to more grocery shopping with the hsemates shups n wayne. as per normal in the beginning of any sem, the kitchen's pretty empty. bad bad bad. but all's corrected now. :)
tomorrow. stamps for cards. timetables. crabnets. a bus trip. hopefully. things might just start to look up. and i just might be going back to osteria for some work. ;)
let the weather be good.

26 February 2006

blue skies.

relative peace and quiet. that's what's in abundance over here. all one has to do is to get into the room and close the door. or just take a trip down to the beach for the sunset which is absolutely beautiful for those who have seen pics.

well schools begins tomorrow and i'm sure it will be an interesting and hectic week. one in which i will be going all over uni buying stuff. selling stuff. signing up for tutes and finding classrooms. i sure hope that i will be able to arrange a good timetable. then its off to find some work. the clock is ticking... :S
cya all back home soon! meanwhile do take care ;)
silly dessi..do get well soon.

munich.

i did manage to catch it in the end after all. thanks to silly dessi for the treat! imho this is one of the better shows i've seen in the year past. a gripping story that sets one thinking. eric bana did a pretty good job. and the cast was good too. i wouldnt want to be in their shoes tho. living the life. having to struggle between doing what's right and doing what's easy. this vicious cycle we all know of. catch it if you can. ;)
-
may we never have to experience something like that in our lifes. again.

22 February 2006

nice to meet you anyway.

wed. my first time in velvet (ya i know..) was an eye-opener. anyways it was a fun night. company was all over the freakin place which was packed like @#$%^&*@. also, half the world was there that night. dont ask me why but the combination of ntu break. mambo. ladies night. last week before sch in aussie probably did the trick. :)
-
before that it was dinner with the darkies at villa bali. its just so nice there and it'd be much nicer if time and drink driving wasnt a problem at all. heh. :P

till oct guys.. ;)

21 February 2006

feeelin sleepy.

20 February 2006

eating is the only constant.

lunched today with dessi at kenny rogers. at 3pm too! come to think of it this is the first time i'm meeting up with her. tsk tsk! :P didnt really have much due to the queasy tummy but had a good time catching up still. guess i'll have to settle for bugging her online then. i want more music la. send away thankew!:)
dont drum or game too much la. the A average. remember pls. oh... and the savings. ;)
then it was off to sushi tei with kt n xy+ august. not before they stopped off at a few shops of course. seeing them after one year. they seem to be 'turning out' quite well i spose. what other term to use when you've seen someone (or a bunch of them actually) grow up?! :P i feel piggish now...
maybe i am THE sacred pig. heh.
soon i'll be gone. for now randomness will rule. :)

laughter and rain.

with only two weeks left before i head back to perth, i know for sure that i will not have time for everything tht i wanna do. that, is a booboo. but it happens all the time, to everyone. :P

so i set out to do what i can instead. and hope it is enough.

after comin back, i've been missing china quite abit. maybe its the seemingly carefree and simple existance. maybe its the many backallys and confusing streets i find intriguing. maybe its just the people that feel so much like family. but i am sure i will go back, only thing is when. maybe by then life wouldnt allow me to. but its all too early to tell.
i should be out and about. but i just wanna lay in bed to finish up my books.
so... good night! and happy vday to you. ;)

11 February 2006

love china.

the short trip to china was good fun. tho most of the time was spent having to help my mom n sis with the kids, i still had a lil time to go ard for a look see. the place we stayed at, anpou, borders the provinces of fujian and guangdong (i tink). and never in my life have i met soooo many people the spoke teochew. :P
with the confusing village layout, horried traffic and reckless driving, i would indeed have had difficulty if not for the many cousins that were ard. as they were having their new year holidays, most were with us the whole day (which included them helping look after the kids.. heh).
time there also made me realise the importance of chinese education back then in school. tho i was still able to converse in teochew to a certain extent, with pu tong hua being used in instances when my spoken dialect fell short, there were certain words that i could not articulate other than in english. :S
i should get an english- chinese electronic translator. hmmm.. with hanyu pinyin of course. :)
i wanna go back. soon.
